Knowing why a client pays us the fees they do is very important during upsells and FFA easily gives that visibility and empowers the sales team to be self-reliant. Having the accounting system directly integrated with our CRM delivers more overall value than if they were standalone. **What do you dislike about Certinia Financial Management Cloud?** Sales people are not as diligent with data as the finance team and this requires finance to ensure proper data quality before they can transact in the system. It's a good check and balance but it does add some extra work for the finance team. **What problems is Certinia Financial Management Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are empowering the sales folks to be self-reliant with access to customer financial data. This enables them to sell more effectively and at a faster velocity. We also can easily combine data from FFA and CRM in our analytics which shortens the time of some monthly reporting. ### 2. Very reliable, never had a bug or issue with the core finance system. Subscription Billing module for subscription revenue combined with the revenue recognition module saved a lot of time and improved accuracy. **What do you dislike about Certinia Financial Management Cloud?** The out of the box reports are not great. They take a bit of time to set up. Einstein reports are now significantly better. Line limits on journals are very frustrating, but you can work around it. **Recommendations to others considering Certinia Financial Management Cloud:** Dedicate as much time as possible at the setup and testing stage. The automation of our entire business practice. A system that continues to grow and support our business growth and provides timely results for Upper Management to utilitize. **What do you dislike about Certinia Financial Management Cloud?** Difference access due to licenses and not permissions. It would be helpful to have one license for FFA, which includes different levels of permissions. **Recommendations to others considering Certinia Financial Management Cloud:** If you use SalesFroce, then it makes sense to go with FinancialForce. If you are an international company, you need an experienced development team implemented with a global company. This closes the loop between the sales side and finance. **What do you dislike about Certinia Financial Management Cloud?** The excel plug-in needs some attention, this is the best way to manage large transactions and it hasn't been updated for a while. There is no payroll or HR offering. Not a deal-breaker but some of the processes seem to be designed without the user in mind and are a little cumbersome. **Recommendations to others considering Certinia Financial Management Cloud:** FinancialForce is worth considering if you are procuring a new ERP. There are some downsides but every ERP has some. The software is the FF Reporting tools. Not sure on the competitors as I have not used them. **What do you dislike about Certinia Financial Management Cloud?** The only thing I dislike is that if I need a change I have to reach out to an IT person or FF to change a small item in it. Collaborate very well with other tool eg SalesForce allowing data to flow smoothly. The dashboards are awesome allow best visual interprepation of the data. Quick upload and conversion of files to and from excel. Another amazing thing is that it support multiple currencies and keep track of currency fluctuations and overall impact on our business run. Over time, we added new process to the tool to have all our process centralized in our area: Financial Force. **What do you dislike about Certinia Financial Management Cloud?** For example: I am adding details about a project on financial force but my work wouldn't be able to be saved because someone in our team is editing during the same "session as me". This means, I will have to refresh the page I do it again if I already typed something on the project. I will have to make sure I copy my previous work before I click Refresh and start again. **Recommendations to others considering Certinia Financial Management Cloud:** Know what you need for your business and research if Financial Force has the necessary tools to solve your business problems. However, those customizations can interfere with upgrades to their new Lightning Experience. The interface for the new lightning experience is a big improvement over the previous interface. FFA has intercompany and multi-currency functionality. **What do you dislike about Certinia Financial Management Cloud?** There are some odd quirks. The Bank Reconciliation module doesn't match by check number. Only vendor and dollar amount. Salesforce report limitations make it very difficult to reconcile the bank for the entire month at once. The Fixed Assets module creates a separate journal entry for the depreciation entry for EVERY asset each month. Some objects also have line limits - such as no payable invoices with more than 80 lines. Believe it or not, it's hard to get a check number from the invoice screen. Getting reports you are used to pulling from other financial systems can be tricky - such as an A/P Trial Balance or an on screen account inquiry with a running balance. **Recommendations to others considering Certinia Financial Management Cloud:** We use a different system for Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets. We used to have a hosted accounting system, which meant we needed to have a server and maintain it. With FinancialForce Accounting, we didn't have to worry about that anymore as it's hosted in the cloud. We also had an issue using multi-company accounting entries and intercompany transactions.
