"Streamlined Workflow but Needs Better Analytics"
What do you like best about ModMed?

I appreciate how ModMed consolidates billing and intake processes into a singular, unified system, which simplifies the management of essential administrative tasks in my ophthalmology practice. This integration streamlines operations and saves time, eliminating the need for multiple systems and reducing complexity. Additionally, the ability to easily access charts when addressing denials and having notes readily available enhances workflow efficiency. The convenience of having cards accessible for insurance verification and check-in processes further contributes to a seamless practice management experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ModMed?

The analytics provided by ModMed are not accurate, which could lead to misleading insights and impact decision-making. Additionally, finding insurance information for PAs is challenging, and the system makes it difficult for doctors to quickly and easily access insurance information, potentially slowing down administrative processes. The initial setup of ModMed took a while, which may have been time-consuming for the practice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Patient Management, A Bit of Setup Required"
What do you like best about ModMed?

I appreciate ModMed for significantly decreasing the duplication of efforts in my gastroenterology practice. The speed of looking up patient data compared to traditional paper charts is impressive, vastly improving efficiency. As I become more familiar with all the tools in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, my appreciation for its functionality grows, making it an indispensable tool in managing our operations. It simplifies staff management and provides immediate visibility into ongoing activities, which enhances overall workflow. The more I use and learn about ModMed, the more I love it, reinforcing its value in our practice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ModMed?

The initial setup of ModMed was not easy and it was time-intensive to do all the configurations. Although it became easier after completing the configuration and any necessary changes were made, the initial setup phase presented challenges. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient EHR with Stellar AI Scribing and Room for Improvement"
What do you like best about ModMed?

I appreciate ModMed for its AI scribing feature, which stands out as an impressive aspect of the software. The AI scribing significantly enhances the efficiency of our documentation process, particularly in ophthalmology, by automating and accurately transcribing our notes during patient visits. This not only reduces the burden of manual entry but also allows us to focus more on patient care without being distracted by extensive typing. The efficiency in handling billing and workups through ModMed further streamlines our workflow, ensuring that administrative tasks do not hinder patient care. Additionally, the capability of ModMed to seamlessly integrate into our existing systems boosts our operations and productivity. Its effectiveness in these critical areas makes it a valuable tool in our practice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ModMed?

I find it inconvenient that procedures do not automatically populate into the clipboard in ModMed, which could streamline workflows and reduce manual input needs. Additionally, the initial setup of ModMed wasn't straightforward for us mainly due to conducting it during the COVID pandemic, which limited the availability of adequate in-office training. "Efficient Documentation with Stellar Support"
What do you like best about ModMed?

I find ModMed to be incredibly valuable in my OBGYN clinic because it aids providers in documenting more efficiently and quickly. The product's user-friendly and intuitive nature stands out, making it easy to navigate and operate, which is essential in a fast-paced healthcare environment. I am also impressed with the customer support provided, as it is great and effectively addresses my concerns and queries. The transition to ModMed from another platform was fairly smooth, considering we were converting 42 providers from a system we had used for 18 years. The ease of the transition further underscores ModMed's advanced technology and capability to meet modern security standards, aligning with the needs and requests of its users. What do you dislike about ModMed?

I dislike that the URL functionality in ModMed doesn't work as efficiently as it should, particularly when it comes to signing results. It can be problematic when results return without being attached to a provider, and there's no alert or flag system to notify about such instances. This can lead to inefficiencies and potential errors in managing patient results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly and Efficient, Needs Improved Specialty Support"
What do you like best about ModMed?

I find ModMed to be extremely user-friendly, which enhances my overall experience and efficiency within the retina clinic. Its ability to keep everything well-organized, including billing, posting, and maintaining concise medical records, significantly helps streamline administrative tasks. I appreciate the easy one-step access to other tools like Trizetto, which integrates seamlessly into my workflow. Additionally, the easy ePrescribing feature allows me to handle prescriptions quickly and efficiently. Despite the initial setup challenges during COVID, using ModMed has proven to be a highly beneficial transition from Nextech/MDI due to its ability to effectively manage electronic medical records and practice management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ModMed?

I find the Boost feature lacking because it needs to have a billing department that fully understands each medical specialty. This causes inefficiencies and challenges in handling billing for different specialties effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Innovative, User-Friendly with Room for Better Analytics"
What do you like best about ModMed?

I find ModMed to be an innovative solution that greatly enhances my practice. One of the standout features is its ability for providers to finalize notes on the same day, even with increased patient volume, which avoids additional staffing burdens and streamlines the workflow. I highly recommend ModMed because it significantly increases our productivity while allowing us to reduce staff. The clinical and practice management integration is seamless, providing an all-in-one solution that covers both clinical and administrative needs efficiently. Moreover, ModMed’s versatility adds immense value to our practice, enabling us to handle a variety of tasks with ease. Additionally, the ease of initial setup was impressive due to our electronic-savvy and forward-thinking staff, making the transition smooth and quick. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ModMed?

I find the analytics feature of ModMed to be slow to process, which results in delayed reports. This hampers my ability to make timely decisions based on the data. Additionally, I would appreciate it if ModMed could automatically deliver reports to my inbox. Another improvement would be the integration with Microsoft Power BI, which could enhance my data analysis capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effective Claims Billing with Room for Report Improvements"
What do you like best about ModMed?

I have been using ModMed for three years and genuinely like the product because it has successfully addressed the claims billing processes for us, ensuring smoother operations in this area. One of the standout features I highly appreciate is the ease of use of ModMed, once proper training is completed. It significantly enhances the user experience, making it more accessible and efficient to leverage the platform's functionalities. After switching from Allscripts and Med Flow, I found that I like ModMed better, which has reinforced our decision to transition to this platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ModMed?

I am dissatisfied with ModMed's reporting functionality for working authorizations. The issue lies in the reports not functioning correctly due to their dependency on 'appointments created,' which fails to account for rescheduled appointments within a specific period. This oversight makes it difficult for me to find the information needed accurately. Additionally, I experienced frustration with the initial setup and training phase, particularly with billing training, which was almost non-existent. This lack of adequate initial training posed challenges when getting started with the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust Analytics but Requires Scheduling Enhancements"
What do you like best about ModMed?

I greatly appreciate ModMed's robust analytic reports on both the PM and clinical sides, which I find invaluable for enhancing efficiency and making informed decisions. I'm particularly drawn to the practice production custom report, which I regularly rely on for evaluating and benchmarking our practice performance. This feature is a standout, offering precise data that helps us track and improve our operational metrics effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ModMed?

I find the scheduling template in ModMed could be more user-friendly. The current setup requires a repetitive process for creating schedules. I would prefer the ability to create generic schedules for various use and then assign these templates to providers on specific days, which would greatly streamline our scheduling operations. Additionally, the initial setup with the ModMed trainer was a bit rocky before things smoothed out, indicating some room for improvement in the onboarding process. "Streamlined Practice Management with ModMed"
What do you like best about ModMed?

I really appreciate ModMed for its ease of use, which significantly streamlines dermatology clinical documentation and practice management. The user-friendly interface makes navigating the system intuitive and less time-consuming, enabling me to focus more on patient care rather than administrative tasks. Additionally, ModMed excels in facilitating the onboarding process of new hires and providers, making it efficient and less cumbersome, which is invaluable for maintaining a cohesive workflow in a busy clinical environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ModMed?

I find that several areas in ModMed could use improvement. The intake forms, particularly through the Kiosk, need enhancements to eliminate the need for printing, making the process truly paperless. The PDF manager should enable document signature fields effectively. Additionally, there is a need for more customization options in the intake information to better fit specific needs. Furthermore, the initial setup process was not very easy, which could be made more user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful RCM Tool with Some Setup Challenges"
What do you like best about ModMed?

I really like the claims denial view feature in ModMed, which allows our staff to efficiently filter and review denials. This feature provides great clarity in understanding the reasons for denials, making it much easier for our team to address them comprehensively. I also appreciate how well this integrates into our practice workflow, especially once standard operating procedures (SOPs) are established, leading to a smoother operation overall. Furthermore, I find the support service responsive; once I open a case, a representative promptly contacts me and submits a ticket to the engineer if needed. The prospect of enhancements, such as adding remark codes to the denial billing view queue, indicates continuous improvement. My positive experiences, backed by the product's efficiency and support quality, make me highly recommend ModMed to others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ModMed?

I’m frustrated with the glitches that occur after updates in ModMed, particularly affecting elements such as EMA, the date of admission, date last seen, and modifiers. Additionally, after updates, doctors receive red marks or incorrect charge amounts, which are issues that need quick attention. Once these problems arise, I typically have to open a case for support, resulting in a representative contacting me and, if necessary, submitting a ticket to the engineering team. Furthermore, I find the initial setup of ModMed complicated; it becomes manageable only after establishing standard operating procedures within the practice. Another area for improvement is the billing and financial rules under the doctor practice settings: I’d appreciate the ability to create rules allowing secondary claims to be generated correctly according to the business unit, instead of being limited to primary claims.
