ManageEngine Desktop Central is a multi-functional tool that provides a powerful set of features that make it possible to deploy, automate and support linked end-user devices from a dynamic, intuitive and easy-to-manage interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I could mention is that at the beginning the configuration can be a bit overwhelming and this is obviously due to the magnitude of equipment available within the organization. Although I must admit that the support team offered us an excellent accompaniment, I think they should improve their knowledge base more so as not to have to ask the support team for assistance in requirements that we could easily solve ourselves. To have a complete organization chart in the computers of our company in a software is a marvel, this allows to have the administrative control and to segment it, that is to say, from an integrated main server we can have in addition a server for remote seats, or mobile devices which is quite necessary in these times. There is not a single negative reference about this system, it is a valuable support for the optimal performance of each of our activities, the only thing to highlight would be its interface as it could be a little more intuitive because there are those who need a greater visual appeal that allows us to access each tool easily and strikingly. Desktop Central is fantastic for its wide repertoire of functions that make the platform one of the most complete IT management platforms, covering features such as patch or update management, power management, mobile device management, an essential feature within The company therefore helps us to prevent the loss or leakage of data, it also has a remote control function that facilitates attention and troubleshooting of terminal equipment. Desktop Central, lacks elements that are considered negative, sincerely it is a very complete and robust platform for which in this section we have nothing negative to contribute. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With so many working from home now, this solution has made it easy for us to share desktops, repair software, patch and update computers even when off site. Also, the inventory system is phenomenal.... pretty much anything we want to know about the computer is available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In a large, shared network, it's really easy to accidentally manage computers that don't belong to you. Also, due to the large domain with multiple ad areas, it's hard to lock down system management.
I've not found any way yet to discover if systems have webcams installed... either locally or internally to the system.
It can be pricey for a small group to add in pieces for computer rebuilding and help desk integration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

ManageEngine packs so many features into DesktopCentral its almost hard to fully utilize them all. We use MEDC daily for remote desktop, patch management and inventory management of our cross platform enviornment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are occasional bugs that make certain modules unreliable, but ME is very quick to distribute service packs to remedy these bugs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
DC provides a lot tools to manage computers and mobile devices. it provides various range of Mac device management in computer or MDM modules including software deployment, path management and location finder. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The MDM modules does not sync with computer inventory and it requires to add/edit devices' information include owner and owner email, asset tag and location. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This program is nice and effective in software implementations, very good reportage, and patch management is very feasible. Allows the multiple use of screens and in addition to file transfers in the background, I like your remote control agent. The packages can be updated correctly. ManageEngine Desktop Central works very well in the implementation of complete sets of equipment. It must be considered that the remote connection tool requires very little interaction of the final user to achieve a connection. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Big patches may be a problem, since the end user must wait first for the patch to allocate to DL in order to install it, noting that they frequently get frustrated and restart while the big parche is still downloading. Sometimes the remote control does not generate confidence, due to problems with the very high resolution video cards, in addition to the fact that you can lose control of the mouse and keyboard other problem of the remote control agent. It has some best features which include MDM, desktop/laptop controls, patch management, remote support and various other admin controls that lets the IT team handle tickets and other services for the end-users in the organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The UI can be better in level to the products/features that are being offered by the product. It has some redundant features when it comes to integrated products from Manage Engine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ManageEngine Desktop Central lets us manage multiple desktop computers in a scalable way. Without it, we'd be spending countless more hours accessing each desktop computer manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Free for up to 25 computers. Centrally managed software deployment, patches and remote control. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hard to upgrade between versions. They should consider making an auto-updater rather than the manual process with PPM files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We are able to push software to machines on our network quickly and on a mass scale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
PCs must have Desktop Central pre-installed, cannot retroactively push to PCs on the network. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the integration with active directory and the ease of installing agents across the environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike the fact the the company pushes out major changes to the application without warning. It's a little disconcerting when you run patching to over 10,000 servers, and the change the look, feel, and function of the patch module. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of Use, many features rolled into one, how well it handles these features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would have to stick to my Support comments above. Needs a more US based support group to retain US based companies who speak primarily English and don't want to try and decipher language. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how easy and efficient this system is, I am able to create and edit service orders and tasks in each ticket. Definitely works really well at my current job. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The search engine could improve on its ability to search through work orders more efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The support team is constantly looking for input from their customers as to what features are desired. Desktop Central integrates with Active Directory for importing new computers and users. It has a great price point. The self service portal is easy to add applications to. The ability to update third party applications is wonderful and they are adding additional applications all the time. The ability to stage updates for both OS and operating system is great! Their training videos cover almost everything you would ever need to know about the system, which makes deployment and use simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The list of applications that they support for third party application updates isn't as large as I hoped and it does not integrate with any of the app stores.

I was work in IT company as a Network & Server Administrator, this was the very useful tool for me. In my company, there were approx 90 plus employees, and it helped me to maintain the routers, desktops and Mobile phones. I didn't need to go seat by seat to upgrade the patches, software, and Operating System. It also has the remote monitoring, which really helps you. I would say, one of the best features is software deployment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When I started working with the Desktop Central, I observe that the UI is the little bit complicated to understand. I hope, this will improve in future. The UI Interface is one of biggest strength for any tools, for the non-technical user also can easily understand what is the tool about and how to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The product itself is a good one since there are a lot of tools in it. but it is not mature enough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
