"Github"
What do you like best about GitHub?

One of the things I have always liked from way back when I started using GitHub is the support for code reviews which has made our team more productive and to write better code. Code reviews has enabled us to collaborate on client and internal projects through pull requests, comments, and review requests. Further, We are enjoying the unlimited private repositories, which were introduced recently both to the free and paid plans, to ensure that our code repositories are not visible to the public. In addition, github is secure and it is always available ensuring that we have access to the code hosted at Github from anywhere and from any device. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitHub?

"The best tool"
What do you like best about GitHub?

GitHub represents a great tool, it is excellent. It allows us to share source codes and also learn in the community since we can make contributions of codes to the public in GitHub. I like that I can share the knowledge I have about codes and at the same time I can learn from other people. Thanks to GitHub I have resolved many doubts because I am always constantly learning what I like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitHub?

What I don't like in GitHub is that if you want others to follow up in a code group, you have to buy the paid version, the free version does not have this option. But only this is what I do not like, GitHub represents a dynamic tool that can help us and where we can also learn from other users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Collaborate on Technical Projects with Ease and Quality Control"
What do you like best about GitHub?

Github allows you to collaborate with teammates on a project. You can easily share, download, and add/contribute to each other's code, while controlling edits made to the final repository. Luckily, as long as you make commits regularly, you can "undo" accidental changes you make to your repo! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitHub?

Github takes a little time to learn if you are new to working with the command terminal or quality control version software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"This is an open platform that allows you to save repositories of codes or your projects."
What do you like best about GitHub?

very simple and practical tool that allows hosting for software repositories developers, this allows projects to be stored in repositories for free, in addition it is very simple to be able to share projects, repositories are public but this has a payment method that It allows you to host projects privately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitHub?

This has limitations as to the two versions of being able to use it in public or private if the projects are public, no problem is visualized but if it is private if certain problems are achieved where a group of people can intervene, a payment option must be chosen, That is why if we want our project to be public but we do not want it to have open access to everyone, a payment option must be chosen in order to provide the protection of the code and the project as such. "GitHub Review"
What do you like best about GitHub?

If you are a passionate programmer and work on open source projects apart from your company's projects, GitHub is the place your are looking for. Following are the things I really like about this software:-

1. It is really a convenient tool to work with software projects(open source) with being accessible from the command prompt.

2. Integration of one project to others.

3. It is the best place to showcase your personal projects and attract recruiters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitHub?

Some of the things that don't like are:-

Firstly, You have to really learn first and then use this software, It's not that user friendly, secondly there are some features that sit back on SaaS paywall. If one to use the software using command prompt he/she has to learn all the command related to push, pull or other commands. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The center of modern collaboration"
What do you like best about GitHub?

If you are a developer, github is THE way show the world what you do. If you are starting as a developer, github is a great place to find projects to collaborate on. If you are a seasoned developer, there are a lot of integrations that you can setup against your repositories to get your CI/CD to the next level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitHub?

The only bad thing about github is that it kind of goes against the distributed nature of git. You take a distributed version control system and add a centralized source of truth that is hosted by a third-party. Most of the times it is still worth it, though. "The best version control platform"
What do you like best about GitHub?

I have been using Github since 2016. The best thing of course is the interface. For the first time I didn't even know that there is Git, and that I can do all the operations from terminal in my computer, so the interface helped me a lot and I quickly realized the purpose of Github and also how everything is done. One more thing, after the latest updates now I can have private repositories, so no one can see my codes for example. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitHub?

Some people got disappointed when Microsoft bought Github, but for me even that isn't a disadvantage. For me Github is the best and I can't notice anything to dislike in Github. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best git and project management tool out there!"
What do you like best about GitHub?

It has the most stable and intuitive UI and flow, countless extensions that are sufficient for all parts of projects. Github Actions has rounded up all project needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GitHub?

There is no support for having multiple accounts on the same device logged in at the same time, no mobile app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
