I love the ability to digitize our paper processes (forms, registrations, etc.) and house the results in a communal place. This saves time and energy for so many people in my organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

While not poorly designed by any means, the numerous features, integrations, and plug-ins can be a bit intimidating for some of my team. I've been told by my users that they are overwhelmed by what is in front of them and that they don't feel confident that they are using the product to its full potential. I'm not sure that there were downsides for us. I did not have a part in the decision to switch from formstack to monday.com so I don't know if formstack could have done all that we wanted it to do. It was a great program the two years that we used it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ease of use makes it great for us to use and for us to distribute forms to others to fill out. We use different software systems for different parts of our mission (Program vs. Fundraising) The forms we receive help us populate the data in a really slick way. The back end seems a little more complex to deal with. I don't have any experience, but when I ask for changes to the form and the data in the dropdowns, it appears difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the ability to drag and drop fields to the form from a pre-made list of fields. I like the ability to save and edit forms year after year and the easy way in which we can download data and form submissions year after year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The form logic can be a bit confusing and a more apparent warning that the form is not functioning properly would be helpful. I would also like the abiltiy to add subheading and/or explanatory text in more areas of a typical field. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Formstack’s form builder is one of the easiest and best designed drag-and-drop form building services I’ve ever used. What really pushes it over the top is the ability to do integrate the form with dozens of different services such as Mailchimp and Zendesk to automate workflows. If you are familiar with CMS platforms like Wordpress or Drupal, the interface is very familiar right out of the gate. Easy to create simple forms or logical forms with the drag-and-drop builder. Branding is also very simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Creating/changing the logic in complex forms can be challenging because it relies on a title rather than an element number. For example, if you have 10 questions that all start with "Please choose from the following items", you will have to choose from a list of 10 questions that look exactly the same when assigning logical workflow. The simplicity of its forms and user interface. Its native functionality within Salesforce. Ability to use within our Customer / Community Portal in Salesforce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Restricted to using Fields that only already exist in Salesforce. Also - required to use certain fields (i.e. Company field) for a standard short Lead form. We are a university and have no use for the company field but still could not delete it from the form (had to 'hide' it). Creating forms is extremely easy. Formstack also has all of the fields that we could possibly need, including a description area, credit card, email validation, etc. The ability to add logic is imperitave too! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The integration with Salesforce can be tricky. You cannot search for existing records to update and create a new record if it does not find anything at the same time (with the same form). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Very easy drag and drop interface. Easy to get started and use the survey tools right away. Good set of survey tools and answer formats. Automatic validation of certain types of fields, eg. address, email, etc. Plenty of advanced functionality for survey design as well, but it doesn't get in the way when you're first getting started. The shape of the fields is not easily customizable, which leads to some screen-wide questions which leaves it feeling a bit rough. The integration data that can be exported via webhooks is insufficient for form data processing. Eg. the export has no index for question ordering in the form, so it's difficult to reconstruct the order of the answers in any database export. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One of the most used features of Formstack that is very beneficial for us in the industry is Logics.

There is not much to dislike about Formstack, but some additional features can be accommodated to make the software more convenient to use.
