What do you like best about Formstack Forms?

Formstack gives me nearly absolute control over the look and feel of my forms. I can customize any form using CSS and other template tools to make an embedded form seamlessly melt into my website. I have tried the same with a handful of other leading and well-known form solutions and always have funky results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Formstack Forms?

The biggest frustration, perhaps, is that anyone assigned to approve a form submission counts against my total paid user seats. I have a bunch of people that never have a hand in creating any of the forms. All I need them to do is receive a notification, review the submission and approve or reject. But that requires a user license. This is a minor inconvenience in the big picture, though, because only a few of my 100+ forms utilize the approval feature. What do you like best about Formstack Forms?

I like that Formstack allows a lot of versatility in form design and redesign, as well as extremely helpful integrations that make information sharing easy after the information is received. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Formstack Forms?

I've generally been pretty happy with Formstack. Our main challenge is that part of what we collect information for as an office is to meet federal Financial Aid signature requirements, and Formstack, unfortunately does not meet those requirements; we're using Formstack Sign for those elements, but that does have other limitations. What problems is Formstack Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?

Formstack was a HUGE help to us in making it easier for students to submit appeals to our office in an updated and secure manner, and it's allowed for a lot more efficiency for us in collecting information we use to determine the distribution of scholarship funds. I wouldn't say I like the process for adding users as there is no field to mirror another user's permissions/folders.

We are unable to get detailed exports of our users without paying for the export every time.

Unable to send back several steps in a workflow

I challenge you to find another alternative to Formstack that handles everything they offer. As part of company policy, we review our platforms on a yearly basis to see if new alternatives exist which could rally with/edge out Formstack. What problems is Formstack Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have found uses for Formstack in every department. The most obvious benefits are drastic reductions in consumable waste (paper, toner/ink) and less need for physical storage space since they can now be digitally stored. Another, often omitted, consideration is regaining valuable employee time that can be better better spent on other tasks by streamlining it with Formstack's suite of tools. What do you like best about Formstack Forms?

I truly hope the upsert feature can be changed from email to mobile phone number since many survey respondents have multiple emails but only one phone number, and this would help minimize submission failures or duplicate record creation based on different emails. Recommendations to others considering Formstack Forms:

Think about going with Platinum level plan or higher so that you can utilize phone support. In our earliest trial with formstack we had trouble getting set up and without phone support it was difficult to trouble shoot with only email exchanges. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Formstack Forms?

TheFormstack platform is reasonably intuitive to set up and navigate. Form templates are easy to build and edit. As a higher education institution, we utilize Formstack to contract work with our outside teaching partners. The functionality of Forms allows us to obtain all of the information required when entering into a new partnership. While Formstack's simplified platform makes the front-end process a breeze, it comes at the cost of advanced editing within Forms. A broader ability to customize specific fields and additional trigger conditions would be beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As an individual department with niche needs, we do not always benefit from the programs and systems set in place by the greater university. "Best platform to fill forms"

What do you like best about Formstack Forms?

I like the logics, workflows, themes and the entire structure of building forms. As an administrator, I will how notifications can be set based on logic, messages can be sent and also how formstack can be integrated with other applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Formstack Forms?

If there are too many logics then the form gets a little slow while building. Also, since we are building robust forms, we feel we may soon exceed the limit on the number of logics that we can input in the form. What do you like best about Formstack Forms?

Ease of use. Besides some particularly tricky formulas, learning and using Formstack has been a breeze. The integration with Salesforce has made life easier - using the prefill and being able to connect data from forms to a Contact's record is a great time saver. I love how easy formstack is to use and edit. You can create complex or simple forms relatively easily with little learning curve. It truly is a product made for creating any type of form you could think of. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Formstack Forms?

I wasn't a fan of the support. We had a lot of help during onboarding, but once we were an official customer the support went down to very low quality. We got bounced around between account manager and support rep and would have to wait 3 days between simple responses. Due to the compelx nature of the form we were trying to produce, and the lack of support, it ended up taking over a month to get our form up and running. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's a great tool, but make sure you get all of your support needs taken care of before you start paying for the product. Customer support drops to nothing once you're buckled into a contract. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Formstack Forms?

In my brief time with it, FormStack has quickly become my preferred form software. I've used several form platforms in recent years, but FormStack offers the most robust options in terms of adding form logic, customizing questions, and reporting on the back-end for those who make forms. It also offers options for receiving payments in the forms, which I have not used as of this writing, but have heard good things about from my coworkers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The reporting interface is not the most intuitive. This is good because it allows you to implement a pretty significant amount of granular edits to what comes out. However, it can make it challenging to just get a simple print-off of data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
