Formstack does not possess the abilities other HIPAA compliant form platforms have available. **Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2025 **What do you like best about Formstack Forms?** With non-HIPAA accounts, Formstack provides diverse offerings to companies looking to consolidate their forms. It is a great tool to use if you manage a team or house of brands. **What do you dislike about Formstack Forms?** The HIPAA accounts have very little to no value regarding organizational tools for their users. Other HIPAA compliant platforms have basic abilities such as being able to sort submissions, base searchability, and scheduling submission exports for certain periods of time. Without these very basic tools, it's impossible for a team to sort through and manage submissions. After multiple discussions with our Formstack team and no intended updates coming soon to help HIPPAA accounts, we are currently searching for alternative platforms that house better offerings. **What problems is Formstack Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?** I don't believe Formstack is solving any of the issues we have with our HIPAA compliant account. Understandably, there are many restrictions for these specific accounts but other compliant platforms that house forms already have better tools to aid users while remaining compliant. ### 2. Use formstack as insurance brokerage, to collect data, have documents and contracts signed. **Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2025 **What do you like best about Formstack Forms?** they work and are reliable, I could make the forms I needed to collect date from clients that want to apply for insurance. **What do you dislike about Formstack Forms?** not intuitive, the option to save fields and reuse them are not practical and are confusing, the dashboard seems a bit old school and again, not intuitive, I cannot use Formstack Sign within a Form (like why?) I Cannot set up the dates the way I want (ex.: I need some fields with year only; the part for address (And others too) specifically the field for postal code always makes my customers confused once it all reds out when you start filling it out - gives a terrible feeling and the impression customer is doing sth wrong (but they barely started to fill it out) option to upload documents should be more practical than adding it several times - make an option that simply says "add more documents" if the client needs to upload more than one doc the encryption thing does not let us collect data such as incomplete forms (please solve it) option to save the form should constantly be showing on the form, not only at the end - so people understand they can save that **What problems is Formstack Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?** I collect info/data from clients and use them to apply for insurance. ### 3. Easy to Use Data Collection Tool **Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Alan B. | Season, Group and Sponsorship Sales, Sports, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2023 **What do you like best about Formstack Forms?** I do a lot of online order forms for multiple groups to attend/purchase tickets for baseball games, and Formstack provides a quick and easy way for me to collect data from customers while also giving group leaders a simple link to share with their members, which has led to increased attendance from various groups. With formstack, there are multiple functions that can be utilized to customize the form based on data needed, whether or not there is a payment required, as well as custom rules for BOGO programs or "push/pull" campaigns with free tickets. The forms are also easily embedded in websites, allowing us to utilize formstack for our various seasonal programs , group ticket info requests and special events, such as our charity golf tournament. All-in, Formstack is a quick and easy way to collect data, sell tickets/products and create a user friendly environment for your clients. **What do you dislike about Formstack Forms?** For some reason, there is no way to recover a forgotten/lost encryption password. I understand protecting user data, but some of these passwords were set by previous employees who no longer work for my company, and I am unable to access order forms that have been submitted without the password, and can't reset the password without it deleting every submission. You can't tell me there is no way to recover a password. **What problems is Formstack Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?** Right now, Formstack is creating more problems than it is solving. What used to be a simple way to collect information and orders for event tickets and merchandise is now a headache of seeing dozens if not hundreds of orders coming in that are inaccessible due to an unrecoverable encryption password that was set by a previous employee. Formstack's online support gave me a "too bad, we can't do anything" response when I asked how to recover and/or reset the password, leaving literally tens of thousands of dollars in sales lost to the ether. We are unable to get detailed exports of our users without paying for the export every time. Unable to send back several steps in a workflow Workflow notifications are glitchy and don't allow users to open links at times **Recommendations to others considering Formstack Forms:** Buy enough licenses initially! **What problems is Formstack Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have been able to use Formstack to replace several paper forms that were not ideal during COVID. ### 5. We've found that users can learn it quickly, and we've set up a number of helpful integrations with our other systems. **What do you dislike about Formstack Forms?** Formstack recently changed the pricing model and raised our (enterprise level) cost exponentially. Negotiations didn't help. Though we wanted to continue with the tool, we are currently researching other options due to this issue. **Recommendations to others considering Formstack Forms:** Great for smaller companies; overpriced if you have a lot of forms and users. **What problems is Formstack Forms solving and how is that benefiting you?** Formstack allows us to easily create professional, secure forms with no web development needed. ### 6.
