"it is less comfortable than IntelliJ"
What do you like best about Eclipse?

simpler than IntelliJ. IntellJ has too many features and functions so, it is overwhelming when I use it first. In the other side, Eclipse is much simpler but has all the necessary functions. Ecomit is pretty good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eclipse?

UI doesn't look good personally. It doesn't look that cool and fancy compared to the other one. I use Linux environment and maybe Windows and Mac have a different UI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best open source IDE out there!"
What do you like best about Eclipse?

Eclipse has a modular and open architecture which makes it wonderful to customize and tailor to one's needs. There is plenty of resources online and the community behind it is supportive and helpful no matter your skill level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eclipse?

It's open source nature does show in some convoluted menus and actions that are not very intuitive. When working with large projects, the tool tends to become slow to open and use, same if you add too many plug-ins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Eclipse your best friend"
What do you like best about Eclipse?

The best thing is how complete and matured the product is; it's true that what it lacks, IntelliJ has, but it is a very complete IDE that helps a lot when programming in Java. It helps to keep classes separate from modules and has a quite comprehensive debugging system that is improved with keyboard shortcuts for importing libraries, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eclipse?

What I would miss from other IDEs like IntelliJ is, for example, the ability to move with control and click on the function and have it take you to the class or module where it is defined, the ability to customize it a bit more than what is possible, but it's very good and has few other drawbacks. "Okay IDE"
What do you like best about Eclipse?

I like the UI, the simplicity and the community support. If you get lost using this IDE, there is a tonne of support available on stackoverflow and other sites. User experience is very good. The software usage is pretty self explanatory for an associate software engineer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eclipse?

In the MacOs, the UI is not fluid and its laggy. If you have a class that is very long, its hard to traverse up and down the file and with time it can get annoying to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
