It can feel a bit heavy at times, especially with large projects, and the startup time is longer compared to some lighter editors. The interface also feels dated compared to modern IDEs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"My Eclipse Review"
What do you like best about Eclipse?

The best aspects are: It can be used without license problems even in commercial projects, it can be extended with thousands of plugins via Eclipse Marketplace (Spring, Maven, Git, JPA, Java EE, etc.), it is a very advanced IDE with Java language-specific features (refactoring, syntax highlighting, code completion). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Eclipse?

Its biggest downsides: It can be slow on large projects, especially if you have a lot of plugins installed or are using it on a computer with low memory, and it can seem complex for beginner developers. The menu structures and settings are sometimes too detailed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
