"Great Measurement and Reporting Tool"

What do you like best?

We have our own organizational measurement model that is specific to our needs as a not-for-profit. We were able to implement the model using ClearPoint because the ClearPoint tool allows so much customization. We have layers of extensive measurement to show our impact and ClearPoint allows us to organize however we like and design special reports that show everything the way we need to show it.

We were able to create one-click reports for our Board of Directors and another set of one-click reports for our leadership team. The options for style and organization of reports seems endless to me.

What do you dislike?

The level of project management detail supported by the tool fully meets our needs, but may not meet the needs of an organization who needs to do extensive resource planning or scheduling.

If you are looking for a tool to organize and link your goals, measures, and projects - ClearPoint Strategy does the job very well!

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We needed to get everyone on the same page about what targets we are driving towards and ClearPoint helped us get organized. Now we can all look at one report to know how we measure up against our targets and what actions need to be taken.

Additionally, ClearPoint has increased collaboration for us. Every team has a role in providing data and updates which helps us all stay engaged.

"We are less than one year into using ClearPoint and the system is showing great potential "

What do you like best?

ClearPoint allows my organization to:

• Hold leaders accountable for action and results

• Routinely report out on key metrics

• Update operational plans based on progress toward targets

• Is a single central point of access and source of strategic planning related information

We are partnering closely with ClearPoint to improve the process of generating summary briefing books and displaying scorecards in more concise, creative ways.

"ClearPoint - Creating solutions for their clients"

What do you like best?

ClearPoint is a very user-friendly strategic planning solution with many capabilities. But just as important, the level of service the company delivers is just as important. From someone that is in a customer service industry, I expect and recognize service excellence. The ClearPoint team delivers just that. They are incredibly responsive, and truly take an interest in understanding the client's needs and goals. Their drive to help their clients succeed doesn't end with the initial onboarding with the software.

There is nothing that I dislike about ClearPoint Strategy software!

"Finally a measurement tool that captures all measurements I need in scorecard!"

What do you like best?

The team is very accessible and helpful. They are great a problem solving, even if I don't know what I really need/want.

What do you dislike?

Having to use Chrome to access from my Mac. Would love to see more examples of scorecards and and briefing books.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I would suggest asking for a few examples of other scorecards if you are not sure what you would like your reporting and data to look like.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Weekly calls are much more productive. The ability to quickly drill down on success and soft spots means our discussions are lean . I am able to update the CEO on metrics in a format that can be quickly digested. My area directors and COO have a clear picture of their territory and year-over-year comparison. After 20 years in business, and paying plenty of dumb tax, I have a dashboard that clearly tells me where the focus needs to be.

"ClearPoint Cares About Their Customers"

What do you like best?

Unquestionably the best part of ClearPoint are the people that work they and the way they have fostered a culture that is centered around providing an exceptional customer experience. The amount of help you receive from the ClearPoint for any minor issue is incredible. They will bend over backwards for you. The support feature of this organization is top quality. Not only do they have the live support feature that can be used to chat with the ClearPoint team, they also have a robust support site with enough information that a first time user could figure out most everything by self educating.

What do you dislike?

At times, the software itself can be slow or have bugs- but they always work rapidly to patch and fix any issues that the end user might have. They also go above and beyond to make sure that you are inconvenienced in the most minor way possible if there is ever an issue. For example, if there is a bug that prevents you from doing something on your end, they take care of it on their end for you. They also continually roll out upgrades to the system.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

This is an excellent product for an organization that is looking to enhance their organizational understanding of data and performance measurement, and how to align those items with strategy. For an organization that wants to take a major step in measuring their performance, this is a great tool that wont also down you like some of the other more intensive solutions. After having dabbled with more of the elements that ClearPoint offers (project management etc.), it is clear that this can be a tool that does it all for an organization looking to track performance and strategy completion.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use ClearPoint as a platform for our citywide performance scorecard program. This system has allowed us to develop a consistent approach to performance measurement, and has allowed our departments to measure what is most important to them in a way that is well organized and strategically aligned. ClearPoint gets our data out of the spreadsheets and into a space that helps us better facilitate data driven decision making.

"ClearPoint is a great tool for performance management and project tracking."

What do you like best?

The ClearPoint team is phenomenal. I know that I can call or email anytime, with any question, and I will always receive excellent customer service and a lesson on the issue. Each time I work with the team, I walk away with more knowledge about the functionality of the product.

The "I didn't know ClearPoint could do that" Webinars are a perfect way to keep up on the latest, and are available to users anytime.

What do you dislike?

I dislike the fact that we can't "hide" rows in the data table that we are not using.

I have a hard time moving images around in a pod to align like I want them.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

ClearPoint is an excellent tool for performance and project management. The team provides outstanding customer service and the product continues to improve based on customer's requirements. Not only does ClearPoint work to improve the functionality of the product, they are building a community of users to share best practices in order to elevate overall performance levels, service delivery, and continuous improvement.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are tracking AIPs (Action Initiative Plans) that the Leadership team created during their StratOp (Strategic Operations) project. Leadership Team works together bi-weekly to update AIPs in ClearPoint.

The Leadership Academy is a new course within our Arvada University program. There are two teams of individuals who are tackling big organization-wide projects, and they knew right away that tracking these projects in ClearPoint would assist in their success. We created a Leadership Academy Scorecard and added the two projects which the team can access easily in an Alignment Matrix.

One of my main tasks is to track our Process Improvement projects in ClearPoint. We have a Process Improvement Team called the Ninjas, and we've created a Ninja Scorecard to include a list of all projects, page detail layouts to reflect our systematic approach, and a performance measure to track overall cost savings by work system. I love being able to share the PI project with the entire team, owners, supervisors, and Leadership Team to tell the story of all of the hard work the team is doing to create meaningful change. It's as easy as emailing the page, creating a PDF, a Briefing Book, or as simple as providing the team with the ID#.

Strategic Plan Alignment - The Golden Thread

The City Council Strategic Plan provides vision for our work. The plan outlines five Priority Areas. Each Priority Area includes specific Strategic Results that define different focus areas. Strategic Results have Milestones that support the Strategic Plan.

Key Performance Indicators, which are SMART goals, live within the City's work systems and measure performance outcomes to ensure successful completion of Strategic Results.

Living at the Program level, Performance Measures complete the golden thread by aligning the work City employees do on a daily basis to Key Performance Indicators and Strategic Results.

"Excellent User Experience and Overall Performance Management Solution"

What do you like best?

What I like best about ClearPoint is its ease of use. It has a very user-friendly interface and functionality such as drag and drop, linking elements and ability to customize.. As an administrator, management of scorecards and users is very easy and efficient.

What do you dislike?

None, the ClearPoint team is always willing to work with us to integrate any new requirements we have or new functionality (e.g. customized charts, etc.).

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We implemented ClearPoint to replace an excel-based scorecard which we had been using for approximately 2 years. There are many benefits that have been gained with this tool, with the most impactful being an increase in efficiency. ClearPoint has enabled the automation of key business processes associated with strategy management and performance reporting. This has resulted in efficiencies gained in the areas of data collection, workflow management and report generation.

"Clearpoint Review "

What do you like best?

Clearpoint helps keep everything organized, and is easy for everyone to learn and use. The scorecards are easy to maneuver and the organization makes it easy to keep track of business among multiple office locations.

What do you dislike?

It can be difficult to edit and change things on your own, some editing options are a little difficult to find or understand. If you are not very tech savvy, it can be intimidating when trying to change something on your own - but the support staff is very helpful.

Do not be afraid to talk to the staff if you feel intimidated or stuck, they are very friendly and very helpful

Clearpoint has helped our managers keep track of their office's stats as well has helped them keep up with their daily and quarterly goals. We can now keep track of our multiple locations in one easy location

"Quality product with strong implementation support"

What do you like best?

ClearPoint's greatest strength is the flexibility of its software tool, which is able to expand as our organization's approach to strategy management matures. ClearPoint knows that the power in strategy management is not in the data collection and reporting, but in the action planning in response to the data and the software platform is robust enough to capture the entire strategy and execution process.

What do you dislike?

I wish that we could afford to give more users access to this platform but are limited by the user subscription licensing model. It will be a challenge to scale this tool to our school district as we efficiently manage our community's financial resources.

We have used ClearPoint to solidify our data collection and reporting processes. Having a tool that not only captures our current process, but stretches us to refine our approach is a value add to our school district.

"Power User of ClearPoint Strategy "

What do you like best?

The best two parts of ClearPoint Strategy are the ease of administrating the system and the quality of customers. As a non-IT administrator of our ClearPoint account, I am easily able to manage and build our dashboard within ClearPoint. I really appreciate how responsive ClearPoint is to help tickets and teaching me how to do the things that I can't to.

What do you dislike?

There are two primary issues with ClearPoint. The first is the limited ability to customize security and access settings for different types of users. The second issues is how the data loader is built which makes it difficult to connect with entreprise data systems.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

ClearPoint allows us to manage our strategy and performance systems in a way that makes reporting and analyzing much easier for our employees and allows us to have a robust and effective system of record.

"Good Platform to track and view data"

What do you like best?

ClearPoint allows a lot of opportunity to enter, track, and view data and key metrics. With ClearPoint I am able to easily look up the status of certain metrics and can take a deeper dive into the data when need be.

What do you dislike?

The method of entering the data into ClearPoint is a but cumbersome and not as quick and intuitive as I would like.

Make data entry easier to use, quicker and more intuitive

"Great tool for tracking and reporting of your goals, initiatives and operational progress"

What do you like best?

Clearpoint is simple to use and yet has great capabilities. We have been able to easily train a number of non-technical staff to setup and maintain their information in Clearpoint. The ability to track the progress of your measures, align them in a variety of ways, and report via operational dashboards, strategic scorecards, etc. without the need to duplicate any data to do so. Automated loading of data from a variety of sources whether excel files or a SQL compliant ODBC data source makes maintenance and upkeep of the system a breeze once everything is set up. The ability to report the data out directly to your website simplifies transparency initiatives. The Clearpoint support team is one of the best in any industry. They are extremely knowledgeable and customer service focused. They always provide fast response and are eager to help.

What do you dislike?

Does most everything I ask of it. I do wish I could report different reporting frequencies in the same heatmap.

Clearpoint actively listens to customer feedback and looks at industry trends to continually improve the product. This is a tool that will keep growing and stay ahead of you and your needs.

"Extraordinary product with powerful features to customize data structure and reporting."

What do you like best?

Periodicity. The feature that allows to define the period of the reports and graphics. From this feature we have configured a "variable periodicity" where you define the intervals of period rather than change this interverval, which is previously associated to a name. The result provides a great flexibility to reports.

What do you dislike?

We have found in practice some issues related to the new version, specially in security and some minor issue in periodicity.

Powerful product. Excelent alligning with strategy management model from Kaplan & Norton. Excelent service support.

"Perimeter Solutions"

What do you like best?

Ease at which it can be designed and modified to meet personal tastes. Very user friendly, especially with the available tutorials. I don't like having to ask for help, so it is nice that I can find answers on my own to get done what I want to do with it. I especially love the custom fields.

What do you dislike?

I am not a huge fan of the maps - but that could just be my inexperience in creating them. If I really want to know how, there are plenty of tutorials to assist me.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Tracking our strategic plan; enabling users to be responsible for their own entries and tracking. It's much more organized and saves a lot of time for one person doing entries for everyone in a spreadsheet, etc.

What do you like best?

The potential that the system enables when it comes to structuring a Strategic Planning framework. It's versatility a tracking tool.

What do you dislike?

The graphics and limited chart versions. There are a number of performance measure types that are hard to display with the type of charts available. (example: when we are measuring a Yes/No type or a Achieved/Non-achieved type.

Comprehensive understanding of the performance of the Departments across the City through the tracking of a carefully selected set of KPIs. It brings light to areas of improvements in the Organization.

What do you like best?

ClearPoint Strategy is really intuitive - both from an and end-user and as the administrator. I also really like that the product is self-contained and cloud based.

What do you dislike?

There is an understandable limit to the customization capability - however, it is less of a dislike and more of a constraint.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you want to move away from linked spreadsheets towards a purpose-built performance measurement system then I would recommend using ClearPoint Strategy. I have been extremely satisfied with their customer service/support and product knowledge. It has made set-up stress-free.

The organization wanted to move towards a purpose-built system rather than using spreadsheets for tracking/monitoring corporate performance measures.

"Visually appealing and easy to use."

What do you like best?

The wide array of resources that are instantly available, plus exceptional customer service/tech support.

What do you dislike?

It is sometimes necessary to go to several different screens to complete an update.

"A decent system"

What do you like best?

How much customization is available to a user if they want to go that route. I also like having the ability to change the lay-outs and provide narrative explanations for data.

What do you dislike?

The data visualization is not the best. I think there are much more creative ways to display data and they are not available in ClearPoint.

Tracking data for population health measures to determine priority populations. Getting our data standardized and organized has been a huge improvement.

"Flexible platform and great customer service!"

What do you like best?

The platform has a good balance between flexibility and structure, it provides a basic structure to start with and a good degree of customization. It is also very easy to manage, and the data input is quite simple.

Finally another great virtue of ClearPoint Strategy is their customer service, always willing to help with a fast response time!

What do you dislike?

Initial setup might be hard for new customers with no previous experience using the platform.

The lack of an easy and fast option to restrict browser users to access certain parts of the plan.

"Clearpoint is a user-friendly scorecard tracking tool"

What do you like best?

I like the visuals best. Briefing books also make providing summaries to managers very easy.I like that users can also do a little bit of coding to make the evaluation feature more useful.

Editing measures to get the exact format I want can be time-consuming.

"Looks impressive but still need more experience with it"

What do you like best?

It is a user friendly system, very intuitive to use.

It seems like there could be opportunities to streamline some processes when moving between measures. Reduce the clicks to move from measure to measure.

There are a ton of options of things you can use this software for.

It does so many things it is very overwhelming.

I would recommend before you get too deep into working with this you definitely get a support person to work with you. I used it for a year before getting quality training and it makes a huge difference.
