## Asana Reviews
 ### 1. Easy Job & Project Organization with Smooth Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jo M. | Waitress, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

The most helpful features are the ability to create jobs and group them in multiple different ways (projects, etc.), along with how easy it is to collaborate with other people.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

The only real downside is the price point. Not saying it's not worth it, however can imagine it being a little cost prohibitive for smaller businesses

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana is allowing me to manage both my day to day tasks as well as longer term projects. From an organisational prospective it also allows us to see where everyone is at with their workload and monitor what people have on their plate

 ### 2. Intuitive and Efficient Task Management with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Camila G. | Director of Account Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I love how easy and intuitive Asana is to use. I really enjoy how it allows me to view task status, forecast delivery, and manage multiple accounts all in one place. Additionally, the ability to add the same task into multiple projects makes management so much easier!

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I think mostly the status organization - the fact that a task can be only incomplete or complete - to have it as ready to start, in progress, in review, etc. would be amazing, and also the fact that the columns are not that flexible. It would be awesome to have comments as columns for example.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana allows me to view task statuses, forecast delivery, and manage multiple accounts in one place.

 ### 3. Structured Tasks and Projects With Asana.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vasudeo P. | Front End Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Asana is a structured work management tool for managing tasks and projects in a centralized location. The tool offers different views of projects and tasks, such as a list view, board view, and timeline view. The tool is helpful in managing projects and executing them efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

The tool is not very helpful for reporting and automation for lower-tier plans. The tool also gets cluttered if projects are scaled and not structured correctly. The tool needs to be set up carefully and thoughtfully to maintain a consistent naming convention and tagging convention.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The tool is helpful in managing projects and executing them efficiently by replacing emails and chat tools for tracking projects. The tool helps in tracking projects and ensuring better accountability for team members. The tool also helps in collaborating better and executing projects efficiently by having all information in a centralized location.

 ### 4. Intuitive Interface, Perfect for Career Prep

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mandy T. | Assistant Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I find Asana's interface more clear and easy to use compared with other similar platforms, which gives it a higher usability value. I also appreciate that Asana provides a lot of tutorials and use cases that demonstrate how people can utilize the tool for their daily lives or work. This makes it easier for people to stick with it once they know how to make good use of it. The initial setup was very easy and straightforward, and I had no problems with it. Asana makes project progress clearer, which is a significant benefit.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I don't have anything dislike at the moment, and I've been just using it for few days

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Asana to store all my tasks like studying and job search. It's clear, easy to use, and makes project progress clearer. Companies require Asana skills, so it's great for career prep.

 ### 5. Asana Makes Daily Task Organization Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriel R. | Account Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Asana helps me a lot everyday in order to organize all my duties. It is fast and support many kinds of media to be uploaded to the platform. It's app is easy to manage too and helps me when I'm not in front of the computer

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

It's design could be cleaner and support heavier files

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is getting easier to connect me with my workmates from other countries and to solve group tasks in a faster and better way

 ### 6. Robust Task Management with Streamlined Workflows

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Coreena M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I like how robust and dynamic Asana is. It streamlines the number of platforms we need to use and provides the right visibility for people, without overwhelming them with too much white noise. The multi-homing feature is particularly useful for offering visibility in the right areas.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I find the note functionality in Asana to be a drawback. I'd like to see improvements in associating tasks with messages and being able to respond to notes. The initial setup wasn't easy for my team, particularly due to the dynamic nature of the platform, which made it challenging to determine the best path forward.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana streamlines the number of platforms we use, gives the right visibility, and streamlines workflows.

 ### 7. Flexible Project/Task Management Tool that Accommodates Many Working Styles

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clara E. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Asana?**

In Asana, there are lots of ways to organize projects, tasks, and lists. I like this because if you are more visual, there's an option for that. If you prefer lists, there's a way to view projects like that instead. If you want smaller tasks that bubble up to more significant projects, you can make that work. It's easier to work with your team, who all have different ways of looking at their to-dos, and all manage them together. Excellent for collaboration.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

Because of the flexibility and style options, it's hard to get a clear picture of what a team is doing as a whole and who is responsible for what for lower-level tasks and projects. But that's more of a comment on teams than it is on Asana!

**Recommendations to others considering Asana:**

Get buy-in on using Asana from the whole team who will be using it. Otherwise, it's just another list of tasks for you. Just make sure that you are all using it to keep track of tasks and projects so that it is a good representation of work you are progressing on instead of haphazard and outdated content.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My company is a global company made up of remote workers. We're not in the office together, so Asana helps us collaborate as if we were. It's great for this!

 ### 8. Asana Makes Project Tracking Easy with Tasks, Due Dates, and Reminders

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Courtney L. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

The most helpful parts of Asana are being able to organize projects into specific task with due dates and it’d be easy to follow and keep track with a Reminders

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I haven’t found any downsides. It’s easy to use and easy to share with folks so so far no negatives.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The most helpful part is working on a social media calendar to keep things easy to organize and simple to follow. Sharing projects with multiple people. And keeping up with multiple deadlines for different projects and one role.

 ### 9. User-Friendly Workspace with Meaningful Employee Recognition

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Halyna K. | Manager of Customer Experience, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

The workspace is very user-friendly, More than that, I like the way how you can congratulate the employee on completing the task - you get the emotional icons to appear, you can share the appreciation. FOr the daily work Asana is a great tool due to private and team projects.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

Lack of ability to track daily progress - task have pretty long deadlines, and the reporting for long-term distance is great, short-term projects could be reflected better.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All daily task management can be organized in Asana. Keep all project tasks in one place, add quick meeting notes in subtasks, and use Asana AI to summarize them.
One of the biggest advantages is the ability to view the same project in different ways and change the view as the project progresses.
For example, you can:
Plan content in a monthly calendar
Track team work in a Kanban board
See launch progress in a timeline with key milestones.

 ### 10. Awesome tool for Project and team management.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tapas c. | WordPress Expert, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Asana?**

New AI integration offer better insights and saves time.
Recently, I’ve been making the most of Asana’s upgraded AI Teammates. Now I am able to pass on boring stuff—like risk reports or multilingual searches—to the AI while only focusing on the parts of web dev and marketing I truly enjoy. It’s a real time-saver.

The Timesheets & Budgets add-on? Honestly, it’s made tracking client hours and expenses way less of a headache. I don’t need to juggle a bunch of spreadsheets anymore, which feels like a small miracle.

And those new Role-Based Access Control updates? They’re a big step up for admin security, especially while I’m experimenting with team setups for things like WhatsApp API and SaaS projects. It feels like everything just clicks into place now.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

Asana really needs to allow users assign a task to more than one person. Right now, you’re stuck picking just one, which slows things down when teams are working together—especially on web development or marketing projects. People end up creating subtasks or other workarounds, which just adds clutter.

Customer support could use a serious upgrade, too. Users often complain about slow replies, chatbots that don’t actually help, and getting the runaround with refunds. When you hit a snag with something like the WhatsApp API integration, you want real help, not more headaches.

It would also help if Asana had built-in time tracking and didn’t lag when you switch between views. Those fixes would make everyday work a lot smoother.

**Recommendations to others considering Asana:**

It's a great tool to manage teams and projects. It has free plan as well. So if you are looking for a project management tool. I'll recommend Asana.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It keeps track of tasks, we use for software development, so it helps us to release sprints more organized way. It is easy to track the software life cycle. We can track who working on which task and where is it currently. My tasks section is very helpful, where I can see which task needs my attention. Also, the inbox section is great to know about activity of the task you are following.
So you will always be on the same page with your team.

 ### 11. Asana is perfect for teams with collaborative workflows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily C. | Senior Content Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I've started using dashboards and other features in projects and the automation feature for turning tasks in a seperate backlog project, to then action and assign the task once put in the main project. With Asana's AI, it helps break down big tasks into smaller achieveable ones making it much easier to progress.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

Intergrations are key to our scaling business, and right now the Google Workspace intergration can be a little wonky. Attaching emails or refering them in tasks is key to anyone who doesnt have the whole company in Asana, or people less familliar with task managers and still email requests. I think with another look at the intergration, and with Asana AI to help flesh them out, would be super helpful!

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our marketing tasks used to be in a google doc which kind of got busy and required tons of updates and communication, our plan is now in a dynamic piece of software with proper notifications, easy to break down subtasks, and hosts all of the information needed.

 ### 12. Great ROI for Small Teams with Flexible Guest Access

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas B. | Senior Director of Strategic Execution, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

It offers a level of participation that is reasonable for our small team. It also has some flexibility for us to add part-time users who come into Asana as guests. This is really one of the top features we needed when we chose Asana. This gives us the best ROI for what we need.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

It is so complex, seemingly way more so that it needs to be, but they do offer support and onboarding training, so that helps offset the complexity of the product.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana is helping up keep track of organizational performance, projects, and deadlines. This program gives us visibility like we have never had before on many major projects, it is very helpful.

 ### 13. Avid Asana User

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah C. | Project Manager & Digital Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Asana?**

AI assistance with creating status updates on projects and custom rules

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

The inability to fully discount weekends when a due date is assigned via a rule, subtasks are not added to a project by default, the inability to duplicate entire sections

**Recommendations to others considering Asana:**

Like any other new technology, project management software [Asana] can be overwhelming and intimidating. I began to feel most comfortable with the product when I shifted from creating simple to-do lists for personal action items to building out projects that incorporated collaboration with other users, customized rules, and file sharing. Asana has completely changed the way in which I approach my daily tasks at work, how I manage projects, and how I collaborate with others.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana is solving the following problems:
-Inefficiency in the communication of project work scope/expectations and project progress and setbacks
-Inefficiency in the sharing of files
-Lack of clarity on processes
-Lack of clarity on short, medium, and long term goals

Asana is benefitting me by making all of the above more efficient and more clear.

 ### 14. Following agile projects with ASANA

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pascual G. | IT Project Manager at Maxia Latam, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I’ve been using Asana as part of my daily work managing technology projects at MAXIA Inc., and it has become one of the tools I rely on the most to keep things organized and moving forward. What I appreciate the most is how clearly it allows me to structure projects—breaking down large initiatives into manageable tasks, assigning responsibilities, and tracking progress in a way that the whole team can easily understand. In complex tech projects where multiple teams are involved, that level of clarity makes a big difference.

Another thing that stands out to me is how Asana helps maintain visibility across the project lifecycle. Instead of constantly asking for updates, I can quickly see where things stand, what’s pending, and what might become a bottleneck. This has been particularly useful when coordinating with developers, analysts, and stakeholders who all have different priorities but need to stay aligned. The ability to comment directly on tasks and keep discussions attached to the work itself also saves a lot of time and reduces the noise of long email threads.

Overall, Asana fits very naturally into the way I manage projects. It doesn’t feel like an extra layer of administration; rather, it supports the workflow we already have. For me, it’s not just about tracking tasks—it’s about having a shared space where the team can stay focused, accountable, and coordinated as we move projects from planning to delivery.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

While I generally enjoy working with Asana, one challenge I’ve noticed appears when projects grow significantly during execution. In technology projects, it’s quite common for scope and requirements to evolve, and when the number of tasks and subtasks increases a lot, it can become harder to quickly review dependencies and keep everything aligned with the original objectives that were defined at the beginning of the project.
Another aspect that sometimes makes things a bit more difficult is navigating very large project boards. When there are many tasks, sections, and conversations happening at the same time, finding specific information or understanding the overall structure can take more time than expected. It’s manageable, but it does require discipline from the team to maintain a clear structure and keep tasks updated consistently.
Asana offers many features, there are moments when managing complex dependencies or long-term planning across multiple projects could be more intuitive. In large programs where several initiatives are interconnected, it can take additional effort to visualize the full picture and ensure everything remains aligned. Even so, these challenges are manageable, and with good project organization, Asana still provides strong support for day-to-day project management.

**Recommendations to others considering Asana:**

Carry out prior planning of the scope and organize based on objectives.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is "super useful" for software development projects, as well as for activities that require the participation of several collaborators and, in general, any task that needs continuous monitoring. We have been able to track development sprints with relative ease as we can assign tasks to those responsible for updating the progress of their activities.

 ### 15. A solid project management tool that keeps teams on the same page

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maulik P. | Delivery Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Asana is a really good project management tool that helps teams stay on the same page. It makes it easy for project managers and team leaders to check progress in real time, and you can track your team's bandwidth and productivity without much effort. The collaboration features work well for both internal teams and clients, which keeps communication smooth and reduces back-and-forth across emails. Overall it brings clarity to who is doing what, by when, and how things are progressing.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

The pricing can feel a bit steep for smaller teams, and the number of features can be overwhelming when you first start using it. There is a learning curve before everyone on the team gets comfortable, and some advanced views and reporting options are locked behind higher tier plans. Notifications can also pile up quickly if not configured carefully.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana helps solve the problem of scattered communication and unclear ownership of tasks. Before, it was hard to know what was being worked on, what was blocked, and who was responsible. With Asana, project managers and team leaders can see real-time progress, monitor team bandwidth, and rebalance workloads when needed. It also makes client and cross-team collaboration much easier because everyone has visibility into the same plan and updates, so projects move forward with fewer status meetings and follow-ups.

 ### 16. Project Manager Review on Asana

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah S. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Asana remains an excellent project management tool, making cross-team collaboration easy on a platform with extensive customization options. I also appreciate how it consistently updates and adds new features, something I value highly in any product.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

Asana is a powerful project management tool, though there is a learning curve for new users. Like many platforms, certain features are limited by payment tier, which can be frustrating. Support has often been slow when I’ve submitted requests, and the lack of an offline mode can also be inconvenient.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana streamlines collaboration by providing a centralized platform where teams can clearly see what needs to be done, who's responsible, and when it's due. It can help eliminate confusion around task ownership, educes email overload, and keeps everyone aligned with real-time updates, timelines and priorities. Asana helps teams stay organized, hit deadlines, and communicate more effectively by turning scattered to do lists into actionable and trackable plans.

 ### 17. Amazing project management tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dinesh B. | PHP and Wordpress Expert (Wix, Shopify, node js, Javascript, Restful API), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Asana?**

One thing I really like about Asana is how it keeps everything organized in one place. The timeline view and task dependencies make it much easier to understand how projects are progressing and what needs attention next. I also appreciate the automation features that reduce repetitive work, like automatically assigning tasks or setting due dates. Overall, Asana helps teams stay aligned and saves time that would otherwise be spent in meetings or tracking updates manually.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

One area where Asana could improve is pricing, as the monthly cost can be higher compared to some other project management tools. It would also be helpful if tasks could be assigned to multiple team members at the same time. In many projects, the same task often involves more than one person, so allowing multiple assignees would make collaboration easier and more flexible.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana help me with my project task management so it's easy to do task timely by creating and assigning task according to the role of the user, asana stay all thing organized, asana help me reduce time for weekly meeting because of task management is superb

 ### 18. Sublime UX, Smooth Integrations, and Powerful AI Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rosario T. | People Team Lead, Investment Banking, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I absolutely love their UX. Everything is so clean and smooth, easy to use and learn. It has many integrations with our tech stack so I could easily sync things with Google and Slack. I never had any issues with the platform performance or the support team, and their assistant chat agent is great for questions and doubts. I'ev used many of their AI features as well, specially for Project summaries, updates, goals, suggested workflows.. and I think it's just SUBLIME

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

The only downside it's that it's somehow more expensive than some of it's competitors, so my company decided to keep JIRA for project tracking rather than Asana - Believe me.. I cried when this happened!

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Everything! Project tracking, goal tracking, automatic updates and reports for managers, automated workflows to save manual time.

 ### 19. Versatile Tool with Learning Curve Challenges

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica B. | Head of Client Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I've really appreciated the upgrade in Asana that allowed us to use portfolios. It's made us more organized and ensures that things are in the right places. We've also been using the dual homing feature a lot, which has been incredibly useful for cross-functional work between teams. And the forms! We've been using the forms with the option to have multiple branches off of forms when asking certain questions, which has been really useful. Specifically for portfolios, they're great for organizing and maintaining all account management tasks across different product levels.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I think it would be useful if there was a better AI version of asking questions within Asana that gives you actionable answers instead of attaching to an article or something. We use HubSpot a lot, and HubSpot has a great AI tool that if you ask it a question, it tells you exactly how to do the thing you're trying to do. And that's become really useful in HubSpot. And I think Asana could use that. One thing I would say is that with Asana forms, I haven't figured out a way to be able to add photos and then have those photos become a part of the task. Maybe that's user error, but the Jotform has been much easier, and the presentation of the form if we're using it externally, has been better for Jotform. Also, most of our team is not very well versed in Asana. I've taken on the role of learning Asana as much as I can, and that's been a lot of trial and error. It is a bit of a rough start, and there's definitely different levels and learning gaps currently.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Asana to ensure my team reaches out to accounts correctly and within time frames. It helps us cross-functionally coordinate marketing and operations, ensuring everyone is on the same page for onboarding new employees.

 ### 20. Reliable Project Management Tool for Team Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** swapnil p. | React.js Developer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Over time Asana has continued to improve its workflow and collaboration features. I especially like how easy it is to organize tasks, assign responsibilities, and track project progress in one place. The timeline and board views help our team understand priorities clearly.

Another thing I appreciate is the integration support with other tools we use for communication and documentation. It helps keep our work organized without switching between too many platforms. Overall, it has made managing projects and communicating with clients much smoother.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

One area that could be improved is the search and task discovery experience when working with very large projects. Sometimes it takes extra time to locate older tasks or discussions.

It would also be helpful if reporting and analytics features were a bit more customizable so teams can quickly generate insights about project performance. Aside from that, the platform works very reliably for daily task management.

 ### 21. Asana: visual clarity, useful AI, and powerful automations to manage projects

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alba C. | App channel owner-grotwh, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Perfect! Let's switch gears to Asana. Here you have a well-structured, concise response focused on what makes this tool stand out in project management:

What do you like most about Asana?
What I value most about Asana is its visual clarity and its relentless focus on accountability. It's the ultimate tool for knowing exactly who is doing what and by when, without any friction.

UI/UX and Project Views: Its interface is clean, intuitive, and very smooth. I love being able to instantly switch between List view, Kanban board, or Timeline (Gantt). The drag-and-drop feature to adjust task dependencies on the timeline is a visual marvel that saves hours of planning.

Workload Management: It's one of its best features. It allows you to see in real-time each team member's capacity to balance tasks, avoiding burnout and optimizing resources in a very visual way.

Asana Intelligence (AI): The AI features add a lot of value. It generates automatic summaries of project status, identifies bottlenecks before they occur, and drafts professional status updates in seconds based on the team's progress.

Integrations and Automations: The custom rule generator ("If X happens, do Y") is incredibly powerful and very easy to set up. Additionally, it integrates seamlessly with tools like Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Gmail, allowing you to turn conversations into tasks with one click.

Support and Onboarding: The learning curve is very low. Its help center, the "Asana Academy," and the celebration animations when completing tasks (like flying unicorns) make adoption by non-technical teams quick and even fun.

Unexpected benefit: The entry "Forms." I set up a form to receive external work requests that automatically turn into structured tasks within Asana. This completely eliminated chaotic last-minute request emails.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

Although it is a standard in project management, its main disadvantages lie in the rigidity of its pricing structure and the limitations in managing complex texts or notes.

Price and Payment Plans (Price / ROI): The pricing structure is very rigid. Advanced plans have a fairly high cost per user for medium-sized teams. Additionally, they force you to pay for seat blocks instead of paying exactly for the number of users you have, which unnecessarily increases the budget.

Limited Documentation (UI/UX): Asana is excellent for managing tasks, but it is terrible for creating long documents or team wikis. The task description has a very basic rich text editor, which forces you to rely on external tools (like Google Docs or Notion) for in-depth documentation.

Single Task Assignment: A task can only be assigned to one person. Although I understand that philosophies like Project Management seek a single responsible party, in real life many tasks are collaborative, and having to create identical subtasks for each team member generates duplication and visual noise.

Performance: agile and fast

Overwhelming Alerts and Notifications: If you don't configure notifications with a magnifying glass from day one, Asana's inbox and your email get flooded with alerts for every small change, comment, or like, making the system chaotic and easy to ignore.

Unexpected Frustration: The free version (Basic) has become extremely limited over time, cutting key features like advanced boards or task dependencies, which forces small businesses to pay before they are ready.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Here is the response focused on the real problems that Asana solves and its direct impact on day-to-day productivity:

What problems does Asana solve and how does it benefit you?
The main problem that Asana solves is the lack of visibility and operational chaos in project management. It prevents deliverables from getting stuck in limbo.

Eliminates endless status meetings: It resolves the need to constantly ask "How is your task going?" or "Who is doing this?"

Benefit: The entire team has absolute clarity in real-time. You enter the platform and see who is responsible for each task and what the deadline is, which reduces unnecessary meetings by half.

Avoids bottlenecks and missed deadlines: It solves the problem of a project stalling because someone didn't know their task depended on someone else finishing first.

Benefit: Thanks to task dependencies and the Timeline view, the workflow is predictable. If something is delayed, the system visually alerts you to adjust the plan before it's too late.

Centralizes project communication: It ends the problem of having project comments scattered across Slack, emails, and WhatsApp voice notes.

Benefit: All conversation, attachments, and comments occur within the task itself. Anyone joining the project late can read the history and catch up in minutes without losing context.

Prevents team burnout: It resolves the lack of visibility over people's actual workload, preventing some from having too much work and others too little.

Benefit: The Workload Management feature allows for fair task balancing, improving team morale and ensuring projects progress sustainably.

In summary: Asana resolves the lack of accountability and disorganization in teams. The direct benefit is that we move from "reacting to fires" to planning and executing with total calm and control.

 ### 22. Ultimate Tool for Organizing and Managing Workloads

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer C. | Client Care Ambassador, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I love how Asana helps me keep everything organized and in control. I can easily see what my next task is, manage it, set priorities, and assign subtasks to team members. It makes me more proactive in my work by having everything in one place, allowing me to track everything I do throughout the day. Asana is practical, useful, and offers more information to better understand issues and tasks. The initial setup was really good, only taking about a week to train. I use Asana with Google and Slack, and it fits nicely into my workflow.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I don’t think there is anything. Maybe being able to connect an email as part of the notes of the task, not to create a task from an email but to add the email on a task

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Asana to keep track of my workload, solve time management and communication issues, and control tasks. It helps me organize everything, set priorities, and delegate subtasks, keeping me proactive with all info in one place.

 ### 23. Robust Tracking and Rules, but Needs More Cross-Project Flexibility

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I do like that it has some robust task and project tracking capabilities. The custom fields are nice to be able to capture nuances. I also really like the ability to set up rules to ensure proper project/task management automatically.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

It's difficult sometimes to fit our work into the format of Asana. Not every process is captured by the Project > Task/Milestone > Subtask structure and it can be a struggle to tailor some of our processes/tracking into the existing Asana structure. I would love to be able to have more cross-project functionality or something more like interworked databases to be able to avoid having to enter information repeatedly across projects/teams. I also haven't looked into if this already exists yet, but having automatically recurring tasks or checklists would be a great feature.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The organization I'm currently working in has difficulty with project transparency and keeping everything from being a last minute fire drill. Asana helps with adding that insight and accountability without feeling like we're putting someone on a pyre.

 ### 24. A Robust Project Management Tool with a Few Tweaks Needed

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Curran M. | Integrated Marketing Product Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I really like the due dates feature in Asana because it lets you assign due dates and sends notifications, making it easy to keep track of what's coming up. It's helpful that due dates appear in red as they approach. The color coordination is appealing, and when you complete a task, the green highlight is a nice mental boost for clearing projects with lots of tasks. I love how easy it is to upload assets, share folders, tag people, and use the comments feature. The dark mode is visually appealing, especially for someone staring at screens all day. Asana provides a central hub for managing projects, which saves time and makes me more efficient. There's also a really good search function, which adds to its usefulness. The initial setup is very simple and user-friendly, probably one of the easiest onboardings of any software I've used.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I think the notifications can be inconsistent. There are times where a due date will say tomorrow, but I wish it just had the date in mind. I wish it was a little bit more customizable with those due dates. As well as maybe making it a little bit more user friendly in assigning people things or marking what progress something is in. I wish there was a little bit easier color coordination and naming conventions for just default statuses of tasks.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Asana as a hub for project management, making it easy to track tasks and deadlines. It centralizes information, saving time and energy. I appreciate the strong deadline notifications and the asset sharing features, which boost my efficiency and task clarity.

 ### 25. Intuitive, Centralized Project Management That Keeps Teams Aligned

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

What I like best about Asana is how easy it makes it to organize work, track progress, and keep everyone aligned. The interface is intuitive, and features like task assignments, due dates, project views, comments, and status updates make it simple to see what needs to be done and who is responsible. It helps reduce back-and-forth communication and keeps projects moving forward in one central place.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I wish Asana’s pricing was based on individual users instead of requiring set user packs like 5 or 10 seats. More flexible per-user pricing would make it easier to scale.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana helps keep tasks, deadlines, and project updates organized in one place. It makes it easier to track progress, assign responsibilities, and reduce back-and-forth communication, which saves time and keeps the team aligned.

 ### 26. Effortless Workflow Tracking with Unmatched Automations & Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katie M. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Asana makes it easy to organize and track progress on workflows across teams, as well as organizing personal tasks. The automations and integrations with Asana are unmatched!

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

There are truly very few downsides to Asana. I do wish it could be used more easily for a content calendar setup, although there may be a better way to configure that now after ongoing improvements have been made to the platform.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana helps improve the visibility of work being done and foster collaboration across multiple teams. It's simple and intuitive for basic users, but it also has the capabilities to become more robust. The automations and workflow management features have helped save an incredible amount of time, and giving feedback via comments in the platform is so seamless. It's also easy to work with an external partner for various projects and bring them into the fold. It is by far the best project management tool I've used.

 ### 27. Customizable Yet Overwhelming for New Users

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rabbi A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I appreciate the customizations in Asana. When developing a new project, I'm able to select all different types of customizations to make sure that my projects can reflect what they need to know. It offers flexibility for me to link specific documents or attachments, import forms, or connect other elements that might live outside the Asana database. This flexibility helps me create what I need to do well.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I think there's a lot of things that you need to know in order to participate. It's not entirely user friendly, and maybe that's because it's trying to accomplish so many different things. I get easily overwhelmed with the amount of buttons and drop downs and different options that one needs to take. I think it would be easier if it was just like a big open screen and it says would you like to do? Start a new project? Create a group event? do some checklist tasks? and then kind of go from there. So the whole user interface is just a very overwhelming, and it makes it seem not user friendly and that I wonder if I'm really gonna use it as much as I would like to.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana helps me get my tasks in order, figure out smaller tasks, organize categories of projects, collaborate better with my team, and remember tasks for timely completion.

 ### 28. Arctic Digitalization with Asana

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roman R. | Project Coordinator, Environmental Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Asana?**

We initially chose Asana to take our project management to the next level as our company was growing and communication through email or messengers was no longer enough. It became essential to track projects clearly, receive status notifications, and respond quickly to changes.

Over time, we truly moved to a new level of work. The team has started to genuinely enjoy the process — we’ve passed the first stage of mindset transformation and built a solid foundation around our core projects.

We upgraded to the Advanced Plan, which significantly changed how management operates. Now we use Goals for strategic alignment, Reporting for visibility, and Portfolios for executive-level oversight. This is a completely different level of structured and transparent work.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

One improvement that would significantly help our workflow is a native integration between Asana Forms and Google Sheets.

For example, we use forms to collect employee timesheet data. That data needs to be calculated and processed in Google Sheets. Currently, we have to rely on Google Forms → Google Sheets → Make integration → Asana to move the data properly.

A direct and automatic export or sync from Asana Forms to Google Sheets would simplify the process, reduce dependencies on third-party tools, and make operational workflows much more efficient.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a department that deals with operations in the Arctic - measuring ice thickness. We also provide training to the local community. We have more than 30 communities, and it all turned into a large amount of data with a bunch of separate folders, tables, and numbers. Asana allowed us to structure it into teams and corresponding projects. Now everyone knows where to look for information. No need to ask managers for anything

 ### 29. A Key to Clarity and Success

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I like the ease of use and the different dashboards you can view. I appreciate the templates that are provided, though I choose to make my projects from scratch. I like how tasks don't disappear when you complete them. I appreciate the task updates I receive in my email. I also appreciate the ability to change the color and icons of projects.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I wish there were more colors and icons for projects. I wish we could choose a different animation when a task is marked complete. I don't like how you have to confirm you are deleting a task 3 times. I wish we could color code project sections and tasks.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to struggle to keep track of my project tasks on paper or in other formats because I had to remember to check my files. It was also difficult to know which team members were responsible for which tasks. Now we can view each project as a team and keep one another accountable. We set deadlines, and reminders are sent to our emails so the timeline stays on track. Being able to view and edit projects together helps us stay aligned. We can also recreate a project easily by duplicating it and then adjusting the dates and other information as needed, which keeps our processes streamlined and consistent.

 ### 30. The perfect project management tool to help your team determine what it actually needs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel C. | Brand Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Last year, as owner of my agency, I wanted to explore other PM tools to see if there was a better fit for our workflow, and so I set up accounts with all of the most-marketed PM tools. Each one had a feature or two that was really nice, but none had a flow to them that clicked with my agency's overall processes. After months of experimenting, I returned fulltime to Asana convinced that it is unchallenged as the best PM tool out there because it seems to understand its users better than the others.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I am not in the anti-AI hivemind. I use AI daily for my and my agency's workflow, but with one qualification: It must provide value. So far, Asana's AI offerings don't offer obvious value. Maybe it's there and the problem is messaging about the value, or maybe they rushed AI features due to investor pressure without an obvious need. Regardless, the AI parts need a lot of work.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With a small creative services team, no two people think about projects and tasks the same way. This could be friction in project management, but Asana allows for different views of the same project without disrupting the overall progress and performance of that project. So, if one person prefers a list, and another prefers cards, both are options throughout the project. For a small team like ours, this little detail has been very beneficial.

 ### 31. Asana is awesome

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brett L. | Marketing Director (Volunteer), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I like the consistency of Asana - the AI is getting better all the time (so are other tools to be fair). There are also more native integrations with other software so clearly developers also see the value of Asana

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

Pricing - Vendors keep charging per user and they don't look at models where small companies need to get all the different features that are on offer, but can't afford to pay for every member of their team to access. So there should be foptions where you can have one fully paid membership or ultra membership or pro membership, whatever the software vendor's terminology is, but that free members can still access and use accordingly. Not need to have to upgrade to the same tier. Unfortunately this is the problem with all software

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have multiple action items within multiple projects all inside a bigger workflow so I use Asana to manage these for me and set tasks and sub-tasks along with all my notes and reminders

 ### 32. Asana continues to innovate in ways that align with our company's needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter R. | Director of Development, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Our integration with Asana spans not just our Asana software, but also our custom middlware project that ties our other ticketing and case management systems. The AI tools that have come along with Asana, and the enhanced rules implemented the last year have been really helpful in allowing us to more easily pinpoint the work needed to be accomplished.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

This is difficult for me, as we have a workflow that we have been able to customize to fit our needs perfectly. We also have not touched a lot of the different tools, including some of the new Goal management features, so it is hard to say if what we might need doesn't already exist. So I really cannot think of anything that we need or wish worked differently as of today.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work for a software company in the development department, and Asana has been a fantastic tool for organizing our workflows and project/product management. Through their API, we have been able to connect all of our organizational software tools like Salesforce and Azure Dev Ops to create a single source of truth for our team, as well as for reporting. This allows our team to work in one tool all the time, and still effectively communicate our progress with other teams in our company that use different tools.

We have a domestic and distributed development team, so the ability to work in Asana and have that work reflected in Azure Dev Ops for our distributed team is essential to our efficeincy.

 ### 33. The Best Team-Management and Professional-Personal Productivity Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zak G. | Pastor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Updates are always rolling out from the Asana Team, which shows that they are constantly taking feedback and making adjustments. The AI integration for building custom rules is helpful for those who don't know where to start, and they keep adding ways to ensure that things are cleaned up and functional.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I would like to see the Mobile App "Home" tab to get some love. It would make sense for all the widgets to stay consistent on each interface. For example, the Private Notepad is limited to the desktop app/web version, which is not handy if you only have your phone and you need something from there.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana catalogues the work that we need to get done (tasks and projects), which helps free our brains to execute on those items. Additionally, through rules, custom fields, and other automations and integrations, Asana solves the problem of systems being too complex, or not being genuinely beneficial.

 ### 34. Asana: More than meets the eye!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dustin A. | Director, Events Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Recently, Asana updated their UI. It's broken down into 4 sections: Work, Plan, Workflow, and Company. This change really helps you categorize everything you have in Asana and quickly find what you're looking for. Asana has also introduced AI into several areas of their platform. The areas where I use AI are in the messaging/response area and the project creation area. This is very helpful with day-to-day tasks.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

My company is on the Starter plan, which includes many features, but I wish the plans were broken up more clearly. Several features are partially included with the Starter plan but require upgrading to the Advanced plan to use them fully.

**Recommendations to others considering Asana:**

Asana can be used in multiple different ways. It is so easy to communicate directly with employees and clients directly from each project. Asana will keep you organized and it will keep you on track to meet deadlines that you might have. It is easy to invite outside users to specific projects, and you can also control the access for each user.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used Asana for three years strictly as a task management solution for our Event App. Recently, I have started to use Asana for several different areas of our business. Asana allows us to keep everything in one place and also allows us to integrate with Google Forms and Zendesk. Asana solved our issue of having information in several different places. Asana has helped us stay organized and operate more efficiently.

 ### 35. Easy to manage all your work projects, tasks and timelines in one place

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tejal T. | Front-end Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Asana has always been very easy for me and my colleagues to organize projects. As a dev, I usually spend my day going through my tasks on Asana, its simple and everything stays at one place. I am able to return to the task even after months, as it is easy to navigate it.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I was able to find a way to split tasks when more than 1 person is working on it, but then both tasks become independent, and they don't sync with each other. I wish there is a way to assign one single task to more than 1 person.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana is solving the problem of disorganized communication as now Im able to find the right communication in the right project space. Asana is easier for project collaboration with clients as clients can track and get to know where the devs are in terms of timeline.
Assigning tasks and collaborating with the team is made so much more efficient with Asana.

 ### 36. Making sure nothing falls by the wayside

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexis G. | Virtual Executive Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Asana has come a long way, and my appreciation for it has only grown. The reporting feature is one of my favorites - I wish it were more robust at my tier, but the vision is clearly there and it already does so much. Workflows and the workflow builder have been a game changer for how my team operates, and task templates are one of the best additions Asana has made in recent years. The integrations have expanded enormously - you can connect nearly anything - and the overall user experience has improved significantly over time. I also continue to value Asana Academy as a resource for getting users truly proficient on the tool.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

The search function remains frustrating to navigate - it's difficult to find what you're looking for quickly, which is a real pain point when you're managing a lot of work. My biggest recurring issue is with repeating tasks: when a task recurs, it duplicates all subtasks, including ones that were already marked complete. This creates unnecessary clutter and extra cleanup work every time a task cycles. I'd love to see both of these addressed.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As far as benefits, I can't even count them. I'm amazed how much I can share with different people or teams across different projects. It makes it simple to bring in third parties who only need access to certain tasks. Asana has made our hiring process more streamlined, our Marketing more efficient, and Operations easier to track. Over the past two years my team has began preparing for all meetings in Asana and creating an agenda that anyone can add to has made meeting time the most productive it's ever been.

 ### 37. Keeping Your Work Life Organized

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kera M. | Communications Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Our marketing team functions like an in-house public relations, events planning and marketing agency for a large nonprofit. We take and process requests from multiple departments, some with short turnaround and some with longevity. Some projects also have extensive outside vendor involvment. Being able to bring all of those moving parts under one umbrella to collaborate across teams, and even outside of our organization with partner vendors to stay on track with projects, provide real-time feedback and edits, and meet deadlines has been simply incredible. Before organization-wide adoption of Asana, this would've involved countless email changes, notebooks, and a myriad of spreadsheets, and files all over the place. Trying to keep things straight--especially during the height of our very busy fundraising campaign season was a nightmare before we had the task management system that Asana provides to us.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

It's not really a tool problem. But we organizationally have had some challenges with individual teams or departments who have been slower to adapt or implement Asana into their work flow. This has presented challenges at times in keeping things moving along as you'd like when others aren't in the system checking for progress and responding to requests as needed. I do think the inbox feature could be improved a bit. Sometimes it gets so cluttered it's hard to find what's new and needs your attention now--especially if you're coming back from being out of the office for any extended period of time. I don't have any strong feelings about what would make this better, I can only share that sometimes it's been tough to weed through and find what I'm looking for.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned previously, really just being able to have a solid workflow and established timelines has been huge. We have used the feedback feature with our contracted graphic designer a lot. It's been a tremendous asset in being able to clearly illustrate what changes we need to be made and getting those things addressed in a timely and efficient manner. It's also just a great way to have one place to keep everything, versus having multiple programs or places to track various projects and components of them.

 ### 38. Asana is an excellent tool for managing teams of any size

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris Z. | Web Department Supervisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Asana?**

We've increased our usage of Asana to include more robust automation - the AI assistant makes it easy to turn "hopes and dreams" into functional automations (that can easily be tweaked as need be). We use the portfolios to more easily understand our work by client and can also pull valuable statistics about SLA and response time from the ticketing board.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

We would love to have more capability to sort and filter work based on different criteria. The biggest challenge we face to utilize the software is finding out how other people have done it. The AI helps, and I also regularly check out forums and community groups to learn more - if this could be integrated with app directly that would certainly help speed up that process!

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana solves for many issues for our agency. The primary is solving for communication across our team and managing all of the deadlines that come with our many tasks.

 ### 39. The Perfect Tool for a Planner

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharne M. | Account Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Asana?**

There have been some great additions and changes in Asana, and they’ve made day-to-day planning feel easier.

I’m especially into the newer compact Inbox view, it’s simpler to scan, and I can take in more at a glance without getting bogged down. The AI features are also becoming more and more useful. The AI Summary and Project Overview help me get up to speed quickly, particularly when a project has a lot moving at once.

One update I really rate is Asana’s AI risk report. It can run automatically and gives an AI-powered analysis that helps flag potential project risks, summarise what’s worth paying attention to, and suggest ways to mitigate issues before they escalate.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

A year in, it feels pretty second nature but the biggest challenge for me is keeping things tidy when work ramps up. If I don’t do a quick clean-up each week, tasks and updates start piling up, and it can feel like there’s “too much” in front of me.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana serves as an incredibly valuable collaboration tool, particularly for someone who loves planning and effective task delegation. With Asana, you can seamlessly assign tasks to team members and monitor the progress of each assignment. This not only ensures a clear distribution of responsibilities but also provides a real-time overview of how work is progressing.

The transparency of task statuses and deadlines is a great for collaboration. Team members can quickly identify where I am in my work, preventing misunderstandings and ensuring that everyone is on the same page.

 ### 40. Amazing tool to organize tasks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maullick G. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Asana?**

Asana continues to be an outstanding project management tool for our team. The ability to create separate roadmaps for different projects keeps everything structured and easy to track. I especially like the flexibility within each project - using sections such as Active Operations, To Do, In Progress, and Completed makes workflow management simple and visually clear.

Some newer features I appreciate are the improved timeline view, better automation options, and enhanced integrations with other tools. Automations help reduce manual work, and the reporting dashboards give a quick overview of progress without needing to dig deep into tasks. The collaboration features, such as comments, tagging teammates, and file attachments, make communication seamless within the platform.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

If there is one area for improvement, it would be onboarding for new users. While Asana is powerful, it can initially feel overwhelming because of the number of features available. A more guided setup experience or interactive tutorials for beginners would make the learning curve smoother.

Overall, Asana has remained consistent in performance and reliability. It keeps projects organized, improves team coordination, and continues to evolve with useful features. Highly recommended.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In a startup, there are so many tasks to do but with a small team. And because of that, it can be tough to keep track of all the ongoing tasks, to be completed or even completed. Asana has helped us stay organized and complete our work before deadlines.

 ### 41. Excellent tool for Type A workers!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dawn J. | Senior Content Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I'm still obsessed with Asana. As a Type A person, it helps me keep all the details straight without having to keep it all in my head. Plus, it's easy to search and reference back to older projects when we're either replicating something again in the future or trying to recall what we did before. We also have an entire project that tracks all the things our creative agency does for us, and Asana makes it VERY easy to monitor those projects and submit feedback.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

Zero issues . . . except still withing I could leave feedback on videos as subtasks the way you can for PDFs.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana keeps us all organized. It's easy to see where we are in a project and who needs to do what next. When you're working on a fully remote team scattered across multiple time zones, that is incredibly helpful to keeping everyone on target.

 ### 42. Asana as a Collaborative Hub for Teams, Views, and Resources

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bria W. | Review Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I like that you can collaborate across teams and workstreams using Asana. More specifically, I love that you can embed different project views, documents, and resources, so Asana can be your starting hub for all.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

Sometimes it's not very straightforward or user friendly.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana is helping me organize a year long workstream with many moving parts. It's also helping codify that same workstream because I can easily adapt it as I go or copy for future replications

 ### 43. Streamlined Collaboration with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Allana J. | Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I really appreciate the ability to create different views like list mode, board, and calendar in Asana, which makes switching between different elements so convenient. I also love how user-friendly and engaging the UI is. It might sound silly, but I enjoy the little creature that flies across the screen when I click a button. It's such a fun way to keep things light and interesting, especially in an industry that can feel a little dry at times.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I wish there was more automation capability between projects. For instance, completing a task in project A could automatically trigger tasks in project B. The rules setup can be a bit limiting since you have to get really specific with customizing fields and applying them. I'd prefer if I could just focus on a particular task, not just categories, and have actions trigger for other tasks once completed. The initial setup got really messy really fast. Everyone had access to random things without understanding how to use it, leading to projects just kind of living out in the ether. We're overhauling it now, but it's bumpy trying to get projects organized into specific portfolios and teams. We just have to create policies and hope people follow them. It's messy.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana helps with interdepartmental collaboration, ensuring everyone is in the loop and aligned on project status.

 ### 44. Clean, Scalable Project Management That Keeps Workflows Organized

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reviére M. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I’ve been using Asana recently, and I can see why so many teams rely on it. The interface is really clean, it’s easy to organise projects, and it feels far less chaotic than trying to manage everything through spreadsheets and messages. It’s a good way to keep tasks, deadlines, and workflows in one place without overcomplicating things. Overall, it’s a solid option if you’re building systems and trying to scale properly.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

Asana is solid overall, but a few things can become frustrating once you start using it at scale. For simpler workflows, it can feel a bit over-engineered, and I sometimes find myself clicking through multiple layers just to make basic task updates. Notifications can also get noisy fast if you don’t take the time to fine-tune the settings.

Another challenge is that some of the most useful features come with a fairly steep learning curve, so teams don’t always end up using the tool to its full potential. It’s definitely powerful, but that power brings setup friction and ongoing management overhead that isn’t always ideal for fast-moving work.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana is one of those tools that really helps solve the “everything is everywhere” problem. It takes work that’s scattered across emails, chats, and spreadsheets and brings it into a single, structured system where tasks have clear owners, deadlines, and visibility.

It also closes a lot of the accountability gap within teams. You can quickly see who’s doing what, what’s stuck, and what’s moving forward, without spending the whole day chasing updates.

On top of that, it helps standardise workflows. Once you’ve set up templates and processes, repeatable work becomes much easier to manage and scale, without having to rebuild everything from scratch each time.

 ### 45. Simplifies Project Management, Easy Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pamela R. | IT Project Management | Organizational & Performance Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I find Asana very easy to use, and I think the interface is cute. I frequently use Asana for making flows, which helps me organize and understand the processes involved in my daily tasks. It also makes it easy for my team or new members to get on board with the process. Asana being simpler than Excel allows for multiple collaborations easily, and the initial setup for my team was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I think it could be enhanced the way that projects are managed. Maybe try any other features like adding more details to tasks, more notifications, or the customization of notifications.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Asana to create workflows and track daily activities. It solves the problem of using multiple tools for tasks, flows, and notifications, centralizing everything in one place.

 ### 46. All-in-One Tracking with Amazing Reminders and an Awesome Claude Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brittany M. | VP of Compliance and HR, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I love that I can track everything I need in one place. The reminders are amazing, too! The Claude intergration tool is an awesome new feature.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

The setup sometimes can be a lot. The Claude add in does help with a lot of this if you know how to use claude.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana is helping me keep track of internal reporting, grant requirements and allowing me to assign tasks to external clients and track that.

 ### 47. Impeccable Portfolio Management and Customizable Workflows in Asana

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anna B. | Founder, Management Consulting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

My favorite feature of Asana is its impeccable portfolio management. Also, unlike many competitor tools, you are able to host subtasks in multiple lists, allowing for complex workflows, views, and automations. It's very user-friendly and easy to use. Even a beginner can easily create a project or task list. Goals are also incredible because they link seamlessly to projects and tasks. I appreciate the high level of customization. I use it every single day to manage projects across multiple businesses. It also is a software that has been around for many years, plus great API documentation, so it integrates really well with other tools. Thanks to templates and great guides on their free academy site, implementation is easy.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

Since tasks are the only type of true database item, it can become difficult to implement when you need to store information like contacts or checklists. Customer support is also a bit slow and convoluted compared to other tools I have used.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asana solves my need to be in multiple places at once. I can drill into the details of work as well as see work globally.

 ### 48. Streamlined Task Management for Team Coordination

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vedant P. | Technical Team Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I use Asana for task tracking and team management, making task management easy and allowing me to see real-time team progress data. It helps me organize work clearly, set priorities, and track tasks without missing deadlines. The initial setup for my team of 30 was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I think the mobile app could be smoother for managing complex project tasks so they can be tracked anytime, and some advanced features feel expensive according to the plans offered.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Asana to solve problems like task organization, missing deadlines, and team coordination. It helps me organize work clearly, set priorities, and track tasks easily, ensuring deadlines are met and keeping team progress in real-time.

 ### 49. The Gold Standard for Project Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaitlin D. | Executive Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I find Asana extremely user-friendly, which makes it accessible for all. Its features are compatible with many platforms, and it's not too heavy, which makes it easy on the eyes and easy to learn. The initial setup was so easy too. I consider Asana the 'gold standard' in project management tools.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

I haven't learned too much yet but I'd like to see a timeline of all projects regardless of who is working on what in one timeline or type view. I would be the project manager for multiple teams and would like to see all our work in one place and for each other to see all work in one place.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Asana for streamlining workflows and providing visibility to multiple teams.

 ### 50. Intuitive Interface, Powerful Task Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anshu A. | Senior Associate, TMT Growth Equity & Technology Value Creation, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Asana?**

I like Asana for its intuitive interface, which helps me organize work without a learning curve. The powerful task management makes it easy to assign tasks, set priorities, and track progress, mainly reducing delays. I appreciate the automation features that eliminate repetitive manual tasks. I also enjoy the real-time collaboration, which enhances team coordination.

**What do you dislike about Asana?**

Pricing can be expensive for smaller teams and some advanced features have a learning curve. The notification system becomes overwhelming in large projects. I want more customization options for reports and dashboards.

**What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Asana to improve communication and team coordination, keeping projects organized and on schedule. Its intuitive interface, powerful task management, and automation features reduce delays and eliminate repetitive tasks, while real-time collaboration ensures accountability.
