Pro Contractor is such a great software. It is user friendly and most importantly the support that we get is hands down. Viewpoint also plays a huge role with the software. As user friendly it is there are times I can run into a situation where I need assistance. Viewpoint is always there to assist with the issue. We can either call in or do online. Easy Peezy. I don't think I dislike anything about Pro Contractor. I have used several software's and Pro Contractor is very user friendly. And as mentioned if you run into an issue you can reach out to support which they are very fast to assist. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The downside of ProContractor is sort of the same as the Pros. There are so many options...it can be very overwhelming to new users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is cloud based, we have our field employees doing daily reports and time in the field. We estimate our jobs, then create the projects from the estimate and billed directly from the project. The third party tax software works very well for Quarter and end of your tax reports. Very good support through chatting. Has a lot of features if you spend time setting everything up. It doesn't have a way to create a employee garnishments from payroll like all other programs we have used. You don't have an option to do electronic vendor payments yourself you have to use a 3rd party. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The different modules are structured differently. There are quirks in the system that are not apparent but become a data entry stumbling block when menu items are in a different order from module to module. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It makes doing takeoffs much easier than doing so by hand and allows importation of CAD files or images (.pdf). I haven't used the digitizer feature (despite having one in my desk drawer), so I can't comment on it's effectiveness, but that functionality also exists. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are some aggravating quirks that make the software more difficult than necessary. One is the double/triple/et cetera clicking when tracing lines on a plan. This creates unnecessary and sometimes deleterious points. Another problem is the program defaults to autosave every minute or so and there is just enough delay to be distracting and annoying.

Edited 04/23/20: There have been more issues as of late, including, but not limited to, the software crashing (large monitor was blamed, but no hardware has changed in the 2 years that I have used the software) and issues with inserting current CAD files (we have had to save as older versions to work sometimes loosing functionality in the process). More importantly we have asked for a quote on the Earthwork package and haven't received a reply after nearly 10 weeks. This level of customer service is unacceptable. As a result of this we will be cancelling licensure after this year. I would recommend anyone that is looking for estimation software to look at AgTek instead, that is likely where we will be spending our money. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I reviewed this ;product along with some others for a client so that they could have choices and options. I found that this is a reasonable program that does many of the things that we look for like PR Management,, Reporting, Charting, Estimating. The thing I like best is it does all these things in a single product package. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One thing I can say the mobile app that we tried, is very shaky. For some reason the data does not sync up/ The reports are not showing the complete layout as opposed to the PC version. After my review of this product, I did find out that they since had updates to the app and I hear it runs better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
