I like Buildertrend's scheduling and to-do list features, which help me deliver projects on time. The daily logs are great for maintaining project updates and keeping clients updated through reports. In the recent updates, their documents are not working properly as it's blinking while opening. Also, the comments section is sometimes annoying. Initially, we had issues using its to-do lists and maintaining every project update in the daily log. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We used BuilderTrend from start to finish - from your first estimate (and being able to receive payment), through managing the project, updating our clients, and wrapping and documenting everything, and finishing up real nicely (and being able to receive payment). Buildertrend is easy to use and not at all glitchy. It is mostly intuitive and superior to other similar apps of its kind that I have used. Switching between jobs while clocked in could be a bit simpler and easier to do.

The app could also do a better job of clearly distinguishing between which job is currently being displayed and which job the user is clocked in on.

My biggest complaint is that I receive constant (2-3 daily) email notifications regarding client activation and sub insurance expiration that have nothing at all to do with me, and I have not been able to disable email notifications no matter what I do. Buildertrend offers a platform that stores all of our necessary details, invoices, messages, and employee information in one place. The customer support is wonderful and have always had my questions answered when I've reached out. I use Buildretrend everyday and it is easy to use and navigate. Not really a dislike, this is more of a wish - would love for the ability to be able to click on a schedule item and move it around the schedule instead of clicking into it and changing manually. That way we could move an item from one job that is important to another job near it to compare and plan scheduling for subcontractors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use BuilderTrend daily for almost all parts of our projects. We find their scheduling system allows us to keep all of our trades in the know about project timelines. We save all files to BuilderTrend for easy access in a single place, there's no trying to figure out where a document is. Keeping projects within budget is also in part due to BuilderTrend and being able to see costs and the budget throughout the entire construction period. As with all programs, when updates happen is can occasionally throw a wrench in existing processes and result in relearning how to do something but that is normally done knowing that they have made something better by changing it. What I appreciate most is the ability to keep all my documents organized in one place. Having legally signed documents is especially convenient, as it's easy to capture signatures from the customer's perspective. The only aspect I dislike is that the engineers working on buildertrend are not the actual end users. This makes it difficult for them to fully understand how to make the platform more user-friendly and to grasp what a construction company truly needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
