## Liongard Reviews
  ### 1. Unmatched historical data and visibility, though the setup takes serious work

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jurica P. | Graphics Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

The system remembers configuration history up to 18 months back. If something stops working, engineers can easily compare the current state with last week and immediately see what has changed. I like Policy Drift Prevention. If a technician in the field deviates from the company's security policy to temporarily solve the problem (and forgets to bring it back), Liongard immediately notices it and sends an alert. Also Liongard has broad integration via Inspectors that allows it to pull data from different systems into one place .Performance is on par with competition. I like the support provided.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

The interface is functional, but basic and not really modern. Reports are not client-ready and look like raw technical printouts. Pricing model is not suited best for MSP-s. Hidden costs when scaling (Per Device Licensing); Liongard charges for basic things and charges extra for so-called Endpoint Inspectors.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps writing documentation as Liongard acts as an automated data collector. It reduces time that tech would spend digging through event logs trying to find out what broke and when, because Liongard takes historical snapshots. Our technician can simply pull up the client's timeline, compare yesterday's configuration with today's, and see the exact line of code or setting that changed. When a client undergoes a security or compliance audit (like HIPAA, SOC 2, etc.) we are tasked with proving that historical security controls were in place. With Liongard we can easily pull reports proving that configurations were compliant at any specific point in time, protecting both the client and us from liability.

  ### 2. Growing in the Den

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin B. | Chief Technology Officer (CTO) / Director of Business Services / Managing Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

The amount of data it collects and the ease of use in reporting on that data. The ability to create your own custom metrics and reports.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

It's great that they are innovating quickly, and continually updating the product, though it can be challenging to keep up with all the enhancements.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking environmental changes with clients, providing ability to add additional detail to QBR reports and improving alerting of off-network / out-of-network items and actions.

  ### 3. Excellent Product, but the backend Customization has a steep learning Curve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamin S. | Network Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

Liongard is excellent at Providing deep data on the devices that it can see, and tracking the changes you want / need to know about. It can cover a huge range of devices, and is highly customizable, so if the data you want is not available by default, you can probably get it in another way. The integration with our Ticketing system has been straightforward and painless.

The support team is excellent and response times are always fast. The front line support is not afraid to let you know when something is beyond what they are working on and escalate to an appropriate level to get results as fast as possible.

I am in Liongard daily looking at changes on the networks that I manage, and the long history makes tracking issues easy

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

While the default information is plentiful, if there is data you don't want, there is a steep learning curve in how to make your customizations. Each inspector has a different Data Print that it provides as a JSON object, and your customizations are built using JMESPath queries against them. Because of the large amount of data returned, the Data Prints are very large, so knowing what to query can be difficult

Our implementation is still not entirely complete, because some of the inspectors have very specific requirements before they work properly, and it has been very time consuming to get in place. Specifically, inspecting Child Tenants and working with the GDAPs required has not been easy.

Some of the default inspectors are not helpful. and Example is one of the changes that is tracked by default is system information on SonicWALLs. This field includes the device uptime, so it records a change on every inspection, making the metric for tracking changes significantly less valuable.

The formatting on the reports is decent, until you try to export them, at which point they become very difficult to read.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an MSP, we have trouble with Change tracking, and Liongard is very good at that. We have been able to use the change tracking to identify breaches, and causes of system failures. It also helps us to stay on top of our documentation

  ### 4. Transformative Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy M. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

Automated documentation and continuous system visibility which proactively detect changes and reduces troubleshooting time.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

It takes time and patience to get the platform configured for your needs. If you have a large number of environments to manage, it can be an almost full time job to keep things dialed in.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Change detection is a difficult problem when you have hundreds of customers. Once configured, Liongard will identify and alert on changes.

  ### 5. The Most Powerful MSP Tool on the Market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** patrick w. | VCIO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

The single most powerful tool in the msp world

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

the reporting output is not 'pretty' enough for client delivery

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Liongard monitors, discovers, and makes for a single pane of glass for over 80 tools and thousands of systems. Efficiency is king.

  ### 6. The missing link in multi tenant security management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul M. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

It connects to all my services, products and produces 1 heli-view on what is going on. This enables me to guide my customers into the world of compliancy of o so many systems where we have to adhere to.

This is one way, so security is on!

Support is very good in my experience.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

I miss the 'sexyness' of the system, though everything is there, you have to be a technician to use all aspects of the system.

luckely, as an MS(S)P we have technicians

Anyways, everything has room for improvement!

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Control compliancy, ISO 27001, NIS2, etc.
Control changes
Controls discrepancy's
this get's me in easy steps to an MSSP level

  ### 7. Significant lifting up front, but can pay off if you stick with it

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cody P. | Director of Service Delivery, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

Visibility in areas that may take manual work to see into. Love the ability to customize reports for any type of data we want to pull. Once you have enough inspectors configured it can really save you an enormous amount of time remediaing vulnerabilities that come out or changes you need to enact over hundreds of customers. Another area is configuring alerts to prevent issues on customers that may not have the best systems to detect/prevent threat actors. We have used a Liongard alert to inform us of a unauthorized app install and confirm that it was a threat actor attempt that we were able to prevent.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

There is a HUGE upfront time investment to configure and properly stand up the environment. Once you tackle that, you need to then educate and work on user adoption which has taken us way too long. Do not underestimate the deployment and put some good technical people with plenty of bandwidth to do the work on it.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visibility into data over hundreds of clients in one dashboard. Integrations to inspectors that have manually processes today. Cross checking documentation in onboarding. Proactive alerting of certain issues we are looking for in onboarding or pre service cutover.

  ### 8. Liongard is the attack surface Mastery

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chodisetty S. | Junior Network Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

Liongard summarizes all asset inventories, changes and alerts into one single dashboard.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

They keep updating on new possibilities for better approach and there is no negative thing.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform is like trust; it is like with intelligent automation and attack surface assurance. You can understand every asset, how they interact, and their business impact.

  ### 9. Great for Change Management, But Needs More Vendor Coverage

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

Our experience with Liongard has been nothing short of exceptional. As a system automation and AI specialist, having a tool that provides real-time visibility and automated change management monitoring is crucial, and Liongard delivers on both fronts.

One of the standout moments for us was when Liongard's power change management monitoring caught a critical security breach. A privileged user change was detected, and thanks to the instant alert, we were able to take immediate action to mitigate the risk. This level of proactive security is invaluable in today’s landscape, where even a minor oversight can have major consequences.

Beyond security, Liongard has been instrumental in providing deep insights into our products and verifying license compliance across our systems. The ability to cross-check licenses and ensure they align with our records helps us maintain compliance, reduce unnecessary costs, and optimize our IT environment.

Overall, Liongard has become an essential tool in our tech stack, offering automation, visibility, and peace of mind. If you're looking for a robust, intelligent, and proactive IT operations platform, Liongard is a must-have.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

While Liongard has proven to be an invaluable tool for change management monitoring and system insights, there are some areas where it could improve.

One of our main frustrations has been the lack of inspectors for certain products and vendors, particularly Nutanix and Dell networking. These are critical components of our infrastructure, and without direct integration, we’re left with gaps in visibility that we have to manually compensate for. Expanding inspector support for these and other widely used platforms would significantly enhance Liongard’s value and make it an even more comprehensive solution.

Despite this limitation, Liongard still excels in security monitoring and license verification, but broader vendor coverage would make it an undisputed leader in the space. We hope to see continued expansion in supported integrations in future updates.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Liongard is solving the challenge of proactive IT management by providing powerful change monitoring and deep system insights. It helps us detect unauthorized changes, such as privileged user modifications, which has directly helped us catch security breaches in real time. Additionally, its ability to verify licenses across systems ensures compliance and cost optimization. However, we’d love to see expanded inspector support for vendors like Nutanix and Dell networking to further enhance its coverage. Overall, Liongard provides automation, security, and operational efficiency, making it an invaluable tool in our IT ecosystem.

  ### 10. Outstanding Platform for MSPs – A Game Changer

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

We have now onboarded almost all of our MSP customers to Liongard and are truly recognizing the positive potential of the platform. The automation and insights it provides have significantly improved our efficiency and security monitoring.
The onboarding process with the Liongard team was smooth and professional – their support was both helpful and friendly. We particularly appreciate the wealth of features the platform offers, with Identity Monitoring and Dark Web Monitoring being the most fascinating for us.
Overall, Liongard has become an essential tool for our MSP operations, and we highly recommend it to other IT service providers!

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

Of course, there are always areas for improvement, such as additional connectors for Remote Desktop Services (RDS) or Exchange onPrem. However, we are optimistic that these enhancements will be implemented in the near future.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A lot of documentation in IT has to be created manually or partially scripted (Powershell). For example, it is not natively possible to see at a click when an Active Directory user has made changes to a security group (timeline). Liongard takes over all this scripting and displays it visually in a GUI.

  ### 11. Liongard for MSSP's.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kris M. | Director of Technology, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

I like how easy it is to use. The reporting features are also great. You can customize some of your own reports for various clients to give you some great details needed for any changes that are also going on for your environment to aid you in you monthly billing for your clients. It is relatively easy to implement into your own environment and client environments. We have not had a need to reach out to customer support much lately because the system is fairly easy to use. We do frequently use this portal to look for changes in our client environments when any kind of issues happen. We found it relatively easy to integrate Liongard into our day to day and monthly reporting.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

The UI has not had a lot of ease of use updating done lately. It would be great to see the UI a bit more user friendly and intuitive.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of use to determine changes in client environments that most other systems do not have on their own or are not able to send to a single dashboard for aggregated reporting.

  ### 12. Keeping the house safe

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrian P. | Director - Technical Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

In the support space we so often experience standards drift with the service desk team trying to resolve the end user issues and needing to sometime deviate away from our policy or standard. Liongard has allowed us to call it out so easily with our company standards and policies constantly being monitored. Any chance or deviation from our standards result in us getting an alert and a ticket in our PSA for the managers to see. Keeps everyone accountable.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

Sometimes the false positives "Nul" value changes detected by Liongard clog the service desk with useless tickets.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Policy Drift, Cyber Alerting

  ### 13. Liongard

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike B. | NOC Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

Alerting is easy but also (if you don't mind learning JmesPath) customizable. Liongard gathers the data and gives you alot of built-in metrics but gives you the power to write simple code to then create alerts for any of the data it pulls in. The ability to see change detections alone is worth the price of admission.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

No realtime alerts, development is active but slow

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Liongard is able to fill in the alerting gaps. If it's information that it gathers, you can report on it!

  ### 14. Provides valuable data from a range of sources that helps generate meaningful insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle M. | Core Services Leader, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

The range of data it can pull from the various data sources is amazing.
Out of the box the integrations and inspectors matches our tech stack almost entirely.
Puts so much useful information at your finger tips and you can go back 18 months which is amazing for support and trying to determin when something happened

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

There is no way to change the data except with JMESPath which is a little limiting. Also cannot add any custom inspectors.
Currently also no way to report on changes

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gathering information from disparate systems and storing them all in one place. The integrations with IT Glue allow us to consolidate and report on information that would otherwise have to be done in separate reports

  ### 15. So much more it can do!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg S. | Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

We've been able to put in inspectors for all of our software and begin gathering information we might normally have to work very hard to locate when needed.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

I feel like we have barely touched the surface of what it can do and have difficulty in conveying to coworkers how useful it is.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Liongard is providing us a centralized location for information without the need to access multiple applications and appliance.

  ### 16. Attack Surface Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott K. | Service Delivery Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

All possible attack vectors are accounted for. Integrations into industry leading platforms for direct flow of information, and when I want the information, I know I can get it in Liongard.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

Reports are not "pretty". Information is there, but you have to understand what you are looking at. Customers would be confused.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Liongard shows all surfaces of attack, and alerts to any change. Retaining logs information for 18 months.

  ### 17. Essential tool for all MSPs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

Liongard is critical component for automated documentation and change detection/alerts across multiple platforms. They have a significant scope of inspectors that covers PSA, RMM, Security tools, major networking brands, and the full 365 stack. The historical time to show snapshots of previous configuration states is absolutely essential.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

Not that I dislike this aspect, but more of an FYI. Do not rely on LionGard to provide real-time alerts. Inspectors can only run as often as 8 hours. This is not the same as a 24/7 SOC.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LionGard fills a gap in the MSP space between RMM, live network monitoring/discovery, and manual documentation.

**Official Response from Miluse Vejdani:**

> Hi Jordan,

Thank you for your review! At Liongard, we are constantly striving to provide the best automated documentation and change detection/alerts for MSPs. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us further improve our services. If there is anything else we can do to help you make the most of Liongard, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team.

  ### 18. The only choice for change detections

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael S. | Cyber Services Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

My favorite thing about Liongard is the ability to connect all of our clients systems and applications easily, as well as implement automated documentation and change detection across all of those systems.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

There is nothing to not like about Liongard.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Liongard allows us to have all of our clients data in one place with a standardized name and ability to query very quickly.

  ### 19. Great for finding historical information

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris S. | Sr Solution Design Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

Being able to go back months to find a configuration change or details on a device that is no longer reporting into other systems is great! It helps track assets for current deployments as well as being able to check changes in environments to compare system counts and configurations.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

The initial setup is a big task and easy to sink lots of hours into it.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to put together new metrics to gathering details across a single client or multiple is easy to do

  ### 20. Comprehensive Change Monitoring

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

Liongard is easy to implement and maintain and allows me to create detailed alerts for many different systems that allow our organisation to monitor and support our customers more efficiently.
Their customer support is friendly, quick to respond and very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

When inspectors fail, they can throw errors that aren't documented, making them difficult to troubleshoot.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to consolidate most of our alerting system into one platform as Liongard has inspectors for a large amount of platforms and systems.

  ### 21. Information Hub

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

Liongard provides a single pane of glass to provide information across my systems. Change detection and tracking can help tremendously in troubleshooting. Also, since all the data is centrally located, I can easily audit my systems for billing.

Support is great when you are onboarding, and they help you through the process.

Really shines with onboarding customers and alerting from standards drift.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

Some constraints parsing data. Large JSONs make it hard to make useful reports.

Still missing some key integrations.

Takes a lot of time to fine tune.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Liongard definitely helps most with automating documentation and keeping our clients in line with our standards.

  ### 22. Takes a bit of work up front, Well worth it!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard D. | Compliance Team Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

We like how many inspectors there are and that the number is growing.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

Reports are not great. You can get a lot of detail but they are not always in an easy to read format.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For compliance, our clients need to have historical data. Liongard helps solve this by ingesting data at the agent and allowing us to pull reports with data from multiple tools.

  ### 23. Possibly useful if you don't already have a way to track changes, but support is brutal.

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

If you don't have any other tools to track changes, Liongard will do that (for the most part).

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

Our onboarding was a disaster. We lost weeks of manhours deploying agents as Liongard reccomended, only to be told that they were discontinuing support for that agent as soon as we finished.

Support regularly takes a month or more to first respond to a ticket. If you can find what you need from other users, you're good. If it's a problem with the tool that LG needs to address, good luck.

When our salesperson left the company, we did not hear anything from our new rep until we emailed them to cancel. Then we ran into a whole new set of problems. They say we signed up for a 1-year committment after our initial 1-year contract, but they can't provide us with the signed contract. Trying to give them notice has even turned into a pain, with them making offers and bringing 3 other people into the email chain, but refusing to actually just let us cancel service.

I've never worked with an MSP vendor this disorganized, it feels like it's a dark pattern sort of thing to make it difficult to leave.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We originally signed up to get change notifications for 365 and local AD accounts.

  ### 24. All the alerts you can imagine for your servers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

The ability to set up pretty much any kind of alert we might come up with. It's very flexible when it comes to monitoring, and not only for servers, but for cloud systems as well.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

There is nothing I can think of that I feel I don't like about Liongard. If you have any issues, there's a lot of documentation you can consult and support.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping us to receive alerts for any cloud systems and servers we want, making our lives easier and it does streamline our operations.

  ### 25. I never realized how much time I would save until I started using Liongard

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David T. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

I was introduced to Liongard this past June. I had heard of it prior but never used it. The goal with using Liongard was to speed up discovery of network and system attributes as well as get insight into security lapses that were lurking under the surface of the environments to which it would be deployed. BOY did it deliver.

The learning curve isn't horrible, but it will take some weeks to fully understand the capabilities. I hightly recommend going through the Liongard training series and getting certified. It helps a lot in getting up to speed on what all it can do.

I'm currently deploying it mostly on servers, cloud services and network devices. It would be very useful to also go full out and put it on PCs, but for now the nerve central areas of our customer environments are where we are focusing collection of info from Liongard.

The setup we have currently feeds all the data collected into ITGlue so our team has updated documentation. And wow, did the details of things like servers, Active Directory, firewall configurations, etc, get a HUGE boost in visibility. We now have much higher visibility for junior members of our tech staff into the settings and configurations they would have not been able to see without accessing these devices directly. Huge time saver and we don't need to give access to admin interfaces of all this stuff to lower level staff.

Another thing I want to mention in closing is the phenomenal support I have gotten from Liongard support engineers. I have yet to have one bad experience. They are well informed, thorough AND available.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

If you've got an older Windows server network you are looking to get insights into, you'll be out of luck. Liongard requires Windows 2012R2 or newer. I know, we're all supposed to have replaced these old servers by now, but they do linger and in those cases Liongard can't be used.

Another down side is the limited number of firewall brands which the Liongard agents can communicate with. So far I've used it with Sophos, Fortigate, and Sonicwall. I believe it also works with Cisco and Juniper.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The business case is getting deep insights into our environments and finding problems before they are exploited or turn into issues. Finding stale users, stale PCs in Active Directory, documenting way more info about all these devices into ITGlue and making all this easily accessible to our staff are the highlights of how Liongard is benefitting our organization. We're also using it as a info collecting mechanism when onboarding new clients. This gives us a huge boost in reducing the onboarding timeline vs collecting the information manually.

  ### 26. Liongard Enables Success

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

Liongard is most helpful for creating a Data Lake for MSPs across all of the managed platforms. This enables quick response to client inquires, viewing information about the different environments, and providing critical security controls (change detection, configuration drift, etc). Because of this, it really helps to set our clients up for success and empowers the MSP to streamline reporting and next steps.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

The Google Workspaces connectors are probably the biggest pain points I've had with Liongard so far; its not that it's difficult, it is just time consuming if you aren't using a parent-child relationship. The only other dislike is the lack of Jamf support and a macOS Endpoint Agent.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Liongard is allowing us to gain a very important overview of our clients' environments. This is empowering business decisions, and a revitalizing manual reporting processes based on inspector types. The power of the data is helping drive new automations within our organization.

  ### 27. Great way to audit modifications

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony H. | IT Service Delivery Associate , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

Audit trials, alerts, ease of use, ease of implementation. Huge amount of articles in their KB.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

There's not a lot of information in the web.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mananing alerts and possibly unwanted notifications with it's in-depth audit.

  ### 28. Fantastic cloud based tool for monitoring and pulling data from literally anything, invaluable!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harminder C. | Support Analyst, Computer Networking, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

How incredibly easy it is to extract data from pretty much any source, it's brilliantly easy. The data source list is ever growing and if you have a piece of tech/implementation that you need to monitor it's likely already compatible, if it isn't it will be.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

Sometimes the web UI glitches when you're doing a bit too much or have too many filters on. I think it's likely a browser overload and not necessarily a glitch of Liongard but its stil a little annoing

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to monitor SSL certificate renewals and AD/365 configurations, Firewall configurations changes and then analyse the data with workflows so that we're on top of any issues before they can be a real issue. Liongard really helps bridge that gap and also allows us to have an audit trail so there's no way for any liabilty or we can trace back to what may have happened.

**Official Response from Sean Duclaux:**

> Harminder,
Thank you for the GREAT review! We continue to look to increase the depth and breadth of our inspectors! Hint, hint...keep any eye out for our October release!

  ### 29. Easy way to track changes across multiple customers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

The cloud inspectors are easy to configure through existing partner relationships. The built in alerts and metrics cover most of what we want to report on and track.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

Writing custom metrics can take some getting used to if you are not familiar with jmespath.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Liongard gives us a change management log that we can store and refer to. This is useful if we need to find out when something happened or when a change was made. It also gives us alerts on different conditions across multiple tech products to help us monitor and maintain security settings.

  ### 30. Automated Client Documentation/Visibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

The ability to automatically document our client networks has been invaluable. Not only does it give our techs confidence that what they are reading is completely up to date, but enables other departments to utilise the data to better serve our customers.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

Liongard doesn't yet cover all of the products we need, but it does cover the majority of them. Initial development of inspectors was very quick but this has slowed down a bit, it'd be great to see new inspectors coming through.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an MSP it is not uncommon that documentation can quickly become out of date. Enabling Liongard to take on the automation of that documentation and then having the confidence that it is always up to date has been invaluable. We also use Liongard for presales engagements, billing, current state assessments and service reviews, all of which are much quicker than they would have been traditionally.

**Official Response from Miluse Vejdani:**

> Hello! Thank you for your feedback! We really appreciate it and are committed to constantly improving our product. We are continually adding new inspectors to our platform and are always looking to make sure all of our customers needs are met. We are also working on providing more ways to utilize the data that Liongard provides to our customers for their benefit.

  ### 31. Liongard notifications and and processes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

What I like about Liongard is the amount of information, data and metrics it can provide an MSP about their customers. It helps keep monitoring the health of their systems so much easier.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

Honestly, there is nothing that I currently dislike about Liongard; the only thing I could think of is JSON coding that is used, I am more familiar with SQL, but JSON is not that difficult to learn.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping us keep a better eye on our customers with Liongard notifications and alerting. Liongard has definitely helped us become more productive and proactive in that sense.

**Official Response from Sean Duclaux:**

> May 22, 2023
Hello! Thank you for your feedback! We really appreciate it and are committed to constantly improving our product. The ability to add custom metrics is just one of the reasons Liongard is so powerful! Learn from your others in our partner community!

  ### 32. Turns IT Glue into a library, great customer support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

Ability to quickly look up systems requiring support, quickly isolating what when wrong and how to fix
Extremely good customer support. Have helped build custom metrics for reports and alerts.
Drastically cuts down on onboarding and ticket resolution time
Change documentation helps quickly ID what went wrong
Periodic reports give customers great insight into what service you're providing and where to make next upgrades/lifecycle management

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

Charging extra for more endpoint inspectors on top of per client cost
Some inspectors/agents can be troublesome/time consuming to configure and keep running, especially older systems
Lack of integration with Threatlocker/Whitelisting software
Could definitely be better at providing better install scripts for major RMM tools like Ninja

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

IT Documentation of all assets, clients, network infrastructure
Faster onboarding of new clients and their inventory
Change management and documentation
Asset management and inventory

**Official Response from Miluse Vejdani:**

> Hi Robert,

We're so glad to hear that you're finding Liongard to be a great tool! Our goal is to make IT management easy and efficient, and it's great to hear that it's helping you do just that. If you ever have any questions or need any help, our customer support team is always here to assist you. Thank you for your review!

  ### 33. It is a unified MSPs with great advantages.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James P. | Director of IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

I can say that it has a large proportion of tools and advantages that unify the work and make security decisions according to the same report across various departments.
We can use the program to diagnose networks and programs in all departments of the company, everything that has to do with web security, we can even apply orders after the collected data to formulate graphs that are easy to understand with other programs.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

It is very necessary to be able to open tickets to generate the implementation, this is somewhat slow and unpleasant when starting work with the program, it is a limited and distrustful program in this sense where it does not allow the client to generate full control of the installation, it is necessary have engineers for the implementation and on the other hand I can say that it is not very intuitive and you have to have time to become familiar with it.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automatic generation of documentation through the data provided by the program, business intelligence, which is what we most definitely concentrate on its use for.
workload is one of our main areas when making decisions, balancing workloads is essential to meet established goals and the program makes this easier to do since we can resolve gaps on time and focus on productivity as always.

**Official Response from Miluse Vejdani:**

> Hi James,

We appreciate your feedback! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are continuing to improve our platform, and your feedback helps us to ensure that our users have the best experience possible. If you have any suggestions or questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team. Thank you again!

  ### 34. The application is great

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

Captures system configuration documentation across cloud services, network devices, and on-premise systems, apps and services you manage for customers.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

Liongard has 2 pricing editions, from $33 to $39

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I dont believe there is a noticeable problem that Liongard is solving but the ease of use for the application makes for an decrease in time spent on other applications

**Official Response from Sean Duclaux:**

> Thank you for the 5-star rating!!!! We love to hear from our valued partners!

We'd love to hear more as to how our industry-leading Configuration Change Detection and Response solution is automating critical asset and user configuration documentation and change detections, reducing manual efforts across service delivery, operations, support and finance.

  ### 36. Great product for network visibility and change tracking.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeffrey L. | CTO & Executive VP, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

Support is always available. The interface is fairly intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

Documentation can be confusing. Interface is not intuitive enough.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft scanning requires too much preparation to do in the tennant.

**Official Response from Miluse Vejdani:**

> Hi Jeffrey,

Thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear that you appreciate the intuitive interface and the availability of our support team. We appreciate your input and will take it into consideration for future updates.

  ### 37. Connections to everything

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Devon C. | Security Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

The connection into the majority of our tool stack across multiple vendors is extremely helpful

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

Current integration limitations are holding this tool back from being a top tier for us.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Liongard is actively solving a portion of our automated documentation, additional monitoring and alerting capabilities, and billable user counts

**Official Response from Miluse Vejdani:**

> Hi Devon,

Thank you for your feedback! We strive to provide the best possible integration capabilities, and we are continuously working to improve our product and add new integrations. If you have any specific feature requests or suggestions, please reach out to our support team and we'll be happy to help.

  ### 38. Hedge Against the Human Element

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mason F. | Special Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

Liongard has several upsides in our workflow. The primary usage is change tracking and automated documentation, which works exceptionally well with their supported integrations. Between auto and manual discovery, we can map out just about every part of a small business network, and not only have that data our finger tips, but synchronized with our PSA and Documentation platforms. The data is always available, and the change tracking has allowed us to catch mistakes made by both employees and customer misunderstandings. The reporting and alerting components are just icing on the documentation cake. Where we used to have to rely on a variety of workflows among different platforms, Roar has been able to replace many of those functions, giving us a single pane for managing alerting templates. The robot really does all the work, and while we still need humans to connect inspectors, we no longer have to wonder if the documentation is current. With their ability to sync to many MSP tools, Roar is a platform agnostic solution for the ubiquitous problem of making sure documentation is up to date.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

I dislike that I cannot fully displace staff with the robot. I'm waiting for a day that Roar can fully onboard an environment from A to Z without human involvement, but alas, that's not likely to happen.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Personally, I have use Roar to review ticket completion and to confirm offboarding processes being followed. Many customers are sensitive to SaaS consumption billing such as O365 licenses, and I am able to use Roar to correlate data from the time a ticket was worked to the time an inspector was run, and confirm if our techs have actually been removing and disabling licenses when offboarding employees. From a tech perspective, there is a high level of value in firewall and switch change tracking. When a customer calls in to say something is not working and asks what changed, I can look at a device changelog and know exactly what changed, as well as what didn't. The data is priceless.

**Official Response from Miluse Vejdani:**

> Hi Mason,

We appreciate your feedback! We understand the desire to have a solution that can fully automate the onboarding process and we are actively working on improvements that will allow us to get closer to that goal. We are always looking for ways to make our solution easier to use, and we are constantly innovating to keep up with the ever-changing tech landscape. Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback - it is invaluable to us as we strive to improve our product.

  ### 39. En Masse Cloud and Product Change Tracking for MSPs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jared M. | Network Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

The Roar product allows insight into vendors and products that do not have any kind of change tracking/auditing to begin with.
Even if your vendors do have tracking/reporting/auditing, they likely don't integrate with some of your other tools in a way that lets you see things in a uniform space.
Liongard enables MSPs to see the raw facts about a multitude of the products you are alrady using. Documenting the licensing, settings, and configurations as well as alerting to changes of those facts and keeping that history for your team to reference.
Liongard continues to add more products every quarter increasing their value as they continue to seek total visbility into any potential vendor you may select as an MSP in the future.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

Not unlike a SIEM, lots of data does not necessarily mean total insight. Liongard is far above an typical SIEM, as they don't simply provide raw data, the data IS structured and understandable.
Liongard is heavily focusing on their existing Reporting and Alerting engines, as well as making pulling data across inspectors, a priority to help you leverage all this data in smarter and easier ways.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There is a certain amount of "sleeping better at night" having Liongard documenting things. In some systems very minute data, like the contents of an A record on a website, can equate to major outages and hours of waiting and working with outside vendors.
But with Liongard in place you know EXACTLY how that system was configured yesterday, and putting it back in place is as quick as referencing any other documentation your team might be maintaining.
Mind you this is all done automatically which empowers our team to focus on documenting the 'quirky' stuff.

Liongard also acts as a vendor/cloud alerting system. For those products/vendors who do not have the ability to alert you to changes, Liongard steps in to keep you informed to those changes that might otherwise be overlooked by the competition.

**Official Response from Tonya Cardinali:**

> Hi Jared, Thanks for sharing how you use Liongard's integrations to gain unified visibility into all your systems! We're so glad our automated documentation helps you sleep better at night. We're grateful to have partners like you sharing your experience so other MSPs can benefit too!

  ### 40. One of the best tools I've ever used!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mauro C. | Automation Freak, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

The idea of having all your information in one place has no price. They are adding new inspectors almost every month, which gives you more visibility and better information about your clients. Their monthly meetings are a good resource because they not only show the highlights of the latest releases but they show you what they will release next month.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

Sometimes support doesn't reply quickly with the final solutions, and you need to wait until the development team gets involved. Other than that, I have no other dislikes about the product.

**Recommendations to others considering Liongard:**

Go ahead and try the product!

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving visibility problems and also documentation issues. Benefits are the ones you get when you have a daily snapshot of your client's information, and you can see what changed.

**Official Response from Miluse Vejdani:**

> Hi Mauro,

Thank you for such a glowing review! We're so glad to hear that Liongard is one of the best tools you've ever used. We pride ourselves on providing our users with the most comprehensive tools to help them manage their information in one place. We're also delighted to hear that you've been able to take advantage of our monthly meetings and the new inspectors we add each month. We're sorry to hear that you have experienced delays in response time from support. We always strive for a quick response and we are always working hard to improve our customer service.

  ### 41. Automated documentation that comes with automated annoyances

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Austin K. | Security Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

Liongard's Discovery function is great and offers a lot of features, all from inventorying devices with a few mouse clicks to finding systems that were previously unknown in new client's systems. Once Liongard discovers a system, or the system was manually inventoried, it will keep changes and alerts for at least 365 days for a fair amount of auditing and retention depending on the system, it's metrics, and what the Liongard agent retrieves. The Alert Templates in conjunction with it's Actionable Alerts feature is a great way to alert on system issues and assist a department or company in maintaining it's infrastructure by integrating with ticketing systems., t

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

The integration with larger ticketing systems makes doing work from a "single pane of glass" unreliable and oxymoronic to Liongard's concept of "automated documentation". Changes made in the ticketing system don't write back to Liongard and when priorities are changed in the ticketing system, they're overwritten by Liongard the next time the scan takes place which causes mass confusion to technicians in our industry. Support is very hit-or-miss when it comes to providing technical assistance, as the only method of support is chat functionalty and the chats close automatically after a specified time period along with our expierience of being told different information for the same problem/request. If an open chat (case) is left unattended, there is no follow up and the case is closed.

**Recommendations to others considering Liongard:**

Liongard is a fantastic product and a reliable source of documentation of your systems if you're interested in research and development of your own issues you find with the Liongard system.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've solved a lack of our technicians updating changes as well as we've included Liongard's system as a reactive change-control process so we have auditing of when a technician changes a system or when an unauthorized change may have occurred. This has also helped us identify when a client of ours adds a system to their environment unbeknownst to their IT department because the system is (often, but not always) identified during discovery scans.

**Official Response from Tonya Cardinali:**

> Hi Austin,

Thanks so much for your feedback. We’re glad you love how our automated documentation, change management timeline, and actionable alerts provide unified visibility into your IT stack!

We appreciate the feedback on our support and ticketing integrations and wanted to let you know our product team is working on improvements for the ConnectWise Manage integration so stay tuned for some exciting upgrades there!

We continue to grow our support team to provide answers to your questions quickly however we understand you may need help outside of our support hours. If that ever happens, you can always reach out to your Account Manager so they can schedule some time with a Senior Partner Success Engineer.

  ### 42. Liongard is super useful!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel A. | M, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

Liongard has an easy to use UI, great documentation at their website, and makes it easy to find highly-valuable data FAST! It's easy to onboard users into the system and implement it into any environment. Change detection makes keeping an eye on customer environments very easy and the Reporting has helped us out plenty of times. Liongard is a great product!

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

There's not much to dislike with Liongard. Preventing users from seeing all of the data in the platform can be a little burdonsome but other than that Liongard is great!

**Recommendations to others considering Liongard:**

Be sure to use the Liongard System Inspector Summary to save time answering a ton of questions!

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're able to detect changes in our customer environments easier. We're also saving money by keeping an eye on unnecessary spend thanks to the Metrics feature in Liongard.

**Official Response from Tonya Cardinali:**

> Hi Daniel, It makes us so happy to see that Liongard is giving you faster, easier access to valuable data AND helping you save money! Change detection, reporting, onboarding, oh my! We love seeing our partners using so many of our features.

  ### 43. Awesome product with AMAZING support and developer engagement!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian S. | Systems Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

Liongard is easy to deploy and to add inspectors for data gathering and continued monitoring and flexible asset documentation

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

It can be a little overwhelming with all the features and inspectors available

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Day-to-day documentation is always up-to-date on many systems due to IT Glue integration

**Official Response from Miluse Vejdani:**

> Hi Brian,

Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate your input and are always striving to improve in every area. We are glad to hear that you like the ease of deployment and the flexibility of asset documentation. We understand that the number of features and inspectors can feel overwhelming and we work hard to ensure that our customers can make the most of the Liongard platform. Please do not hesitate to reach out to our support team if you need any help.

  ### 44. Its a good time to get in the ground floor of Liongard. They'll help build what you want them to.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Craig B. | Lead Automation Engineer | Lead Support Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

The data we get it out of it. We get one of the best change/audit logs in the industry for deploying it. Its not a central pane of glass, but its a living repository of live data from many platforms. There are similar tools for security, but for managing LOB and infrustcture platforms like Microsoft Office 365 and VMware, this helps us monitor them with a historical record that is as detailed as could be.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

The data is presented in a way that requires someone more technical to get everything out of it, but efforts are being made to simplify the presentation.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Audit/Change log and documentation of the system. We internally have a good change log to go look through, and have expanded our monitoring capabilities to more systems than just SNMP or typical windows/linux server monitoring. We're getting a lot out of the ESXI monitor recently. We give ourselves a change log for root causing issues or configuration errors. We also help our sales team with more data.

**Official Response from Tonya Cardinali:**

> Hi Craig, We're glad you're finding so much value in the data you get from our change/audit logs. Having a way to "look back in time" to see what has changed is definitely a huge benefit for a lot of our partners. Thanks for sharing your experience using Liongard!

  ### 45. Liongard is amazing!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael K. | Founder, CEO, and Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

Liongard has saved us several times. With the ability to go back in time and view changes in different inspectors we have been able to locate when something changed that caused problems and what the settings were prior to the change.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

It doesn't integrate with everything that we use, however they are always adding new integrations.

**Recommendations to others considering Liongard:**

Make sure that you get your staff to buy in and use it as well. You lose out on a lot of the benefits if only 1 or 2 staff are using it.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Liongard also saves us a ton of time in documenting our systems through they sync with IT Glue. Let's be honest - it doesn't really save us time because my techs probably wouldn't be documenting to the level that Liongard does. It does the documentation so that I don't have to worry about whether my techs are doing it or not.

  ### 46. Liongard - Reporting, Documentation, Visibility and so much more!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

Liongard continues to exceed expectations. The ability to collect data from multiple systems and bring them into a single portal has significantly reduced troubleshooting and billing time. I'm able to get a very clear view of all business sytems.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

No dislikes at this point. Liongard has been very transparent about any pricing changes or how things function.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Liongard is able to connect multiple sources of data, which helps understand coverage, service issues, and a better understanding of our customer environments. This ability saved us money in licensing fees and found many billing errors.

**Official Response from Miluse Vejdani:**

> Hello! Thank you for your feedback! We are always striving to provide the best possible experience for our customers and appreciate your honest opinion. We look forward to continuing to provide you with the best features and services from Liongard.

  ### 47. Liongard Is Amazing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

I like the structured design of the data. They do an excellent job of retrieving the data from various disparate systems and organizing it into something understandable. Their alerting is extremely powerful and is customizable so we can get alerts on basically anything that Liongard can detect.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

Some of the Inspectors they provide don't always work 100% with every system. In particular, their HP ProCurve Inspector is still in Preview status, meaning it's out of Beta stage already. Yet it has issues with quite a few of our HP ProCurve switches and refuses to connect successfully and retrieve the switch configuration information. Their help documents don't specify a particular version of switch that is supported, and I know for a fact the SSH connection and commands work exactly like all the other HP switches that do work in Liongard.
The alerting system is a bit difficult to comprehend and setup correctly.

**Recommendations to others considering Liongard:**

Sign up for the trial and take time setting it up. They make it sound super easy, and even though it is, it takes a lot of thought and effort to setup it up properly to be useful.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had relied on email alerting in various systems, but as we grew it was becoming cumbersome to manage. And any changes to our policies had to be manually verified for each client. With Liongard, we can reduce our email alerting and instead rely on Liongard to pull that information daily and alert us if necessary. Any policy change we make in the future gets updated into Liongard and suddenly it applies to all our clients immediately. The time savings and accuracy of information is amazing.

**Official Response from Tonya Cardinali:**

> Hello, Thank you for sharing so much of your story with us, and other potential Liongard customers! We're so glad our alerts have helped you find efficiencies and scale your business.

We also appreciate your feedback about our inspectors. We're constantly enhancing existing inspectors as well as adding new. We'd love it if you added your feedback to our Ideas portal, where our Product team goes to see what our customers are saying which helps them prioritize initiatives. You can also poke around in there to see what's been planned, recently released, etc.

  ### 48. Every company regardless of size, industry or space needs Liongard.

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

Automation is the most valuable feature of Liongard. Tracking, alerting and visibility into environments are a close second along with the technical support team.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

I wish LG rolled out inspectors quicker. Anytime when we have to manually document a system we tend do it last and or forget. I want all of my systems to be able to be documented, inspected and tracked in LG.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating onboarding, automating our CMDB (which we did not have previously), centralizing on alerting to ensure we do not miss essential items are all problems we have solved with LG.

  ### 49. The onboard was amazing. The documentation is the best I have ever used.

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

I don't have to call for assistance when using the documentation provided. Getting some of the services and devices connected can be a real time consumer.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

I don't currently have any dislikes. The software functions well in our environment.

**Recommendations to others considering Liongard:**

Stop wasting time and do it. You will find new ways all the time that it adds efficiency to your service delivery.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Access to what happened. It's the benefit I was looking for and it delivers.

**Official Response from Tonya Cardinali:**

> Hi John, We love your enthusiasm! Thanks for helping us get the word out about Liongard. We love helping MSPs find efficiencies and provide even more value to their clients.

  ### 50. Helping to complete our stack.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Liongard?**

I like how Liogard helps to find data we would not see otherwise. Support staff are rock stars. And my Sales person is always there for me as a advocate.

**What do you dislike about Liongard?**

Sometimes it's challenging to set up external sources of data. This can lead to a bit of frustration. The documentation seems to be a little lacking. But they make up for it in the support.

**What problems is Liongard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was looking to get a dashboard of active data points to monitor. It has worked quite well for us.
