What do you like best about Circula?

What I like best is how easy and quick it is to submit expenses. I take a photo of the receipt, and the text recognition automatically captures almost all relevant data such as date, vendor, and amount. The process is clearly structured, and I usually just have to confirm and click through. What do you dislike about Circula?

What do you like best about Circula?

I find Circula to be user-friendly, with its simple and intuitive design making it easy to navigate without any unnecessary buttons or images that could confuse the user. The ease of use allows me to submit reimbursements quickly, taking only five minutes, which saves me a lot of time in dealing with expense claims. Another feature I really appreciate is the AI-built-in functionality, which automatically extracts information from invoices, further streamlining the process and minimizing manual input. This not only saves time but also reduces the need for unnecessary communication with HR or accountants in the company, especially for reimbursement tasks, which can sometimes be awkward. What do you like best about Circula?

Well, any reimbursement platform is meant to make our lives easier, and Circula has potential. The app is user-friendly and it’s great that it can be accessed both via mobile and browser. It works well for the areas handled directly by my company, such as reimbursements for travel expenses or training courses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Circula?

Many simple but effective features are missing, such as the ability to edit or delete rejected submissions. Instead, users are forced to redo everything from scratch, which is inefficient and frustrating.

The part handled directly by Circula (benefits) is quite disappointing. Reviews of invoices usually take around a week on average, yet users are given only two days after the end of the month to submit. This often turns the last week into a guessing game - we never know which submissions might be rejected, leaving no time to resubmit before the deadline.

There are also frequent small mistakes that require users to follow up by email (for example, a meal was once rejected because it included a ginger beer soda; they read "beer" and rejected without thinking, even though my company reimburses one non-alcoholic beverage per meal). Calculation errors also occur, and if they’re not flagged quickly, the figures are consolidated and reimbursement is lost, even when the error originated with Circula.

However, the main issue is inconsistency and lack of accountability. Items that had been always accepted, for years, were suddenly rejected without prior notice. When questioned, Circula’s justification was that previous approvals were “few exceptions” , which suggests either a long-standing misinterpretation of their own policies or an unannounced tightening of them.

Overall, Circula’s lack of simple tools, slow processing times, and inconsistent handling of claims make the reimbursement process unnecessarily time-consuming and frustrating. What do you like best about Circula?

It is very easy to create travel expenses with it. Everything is very clear. Of course, you have to test it first with the support team, who will then process it, to make sure you do everything correctly, or take a good look at it yourself. But a very simple tool. What do you dislike about Circula?

So far, I am not aware of anything here. The only thing I would suggest is to adjust the view in the mobile app a bit. In the "Multiple Destinations" section under "Travel," it is not immediately clear when the date query applies. At the top, you enter the start date and the first destination, followed by a grayed-out field, and then there is another query for the next destination followed by the associated date query, followed by the query for the travel end date. I would suggest that the date queries remain consistent. In other words, always have the date followed by the location, and at the end, the end date query. I really enjoy using the Circula app on my phone. It makes managing my daily expense tracking for lunches and other costs incredibly convenient. I love that I don't have to worry about keeping track of physical receipts anymore because I can just scan them immediately with the app. This feature saves me a lot of time and ensures that I have an easily accessible digital record. The convenience of having everything I need right on my phone is fantastic. I’ve been using Circula for a few days now and I’m truly impressed. The app is very intuitively designed, so you can get started right away without having to read long instructions. What I especially like is the feature that lets you simply photograph receipts with your phone — the data is automatically extracted, saving me a lot of time typing things in.
