What do you like best about Mews?

Ease of use is insane for a system this complex. I came from zero hotel background and just figured it out. Implementation was smoother than I expected. Support actually picks up and knows what they're talking about. We use it every single day across all departments. The fact that PMS, POS and IBE all talk to each other is a game changer. What do you dislike about 360HMS?

The user interface would benefit from a more modern and sleek design. Although it maintains a minimalistic style, it can occasionally feel a bit outdated. Navigating the more advanced features, like revenue management and multi-restaurant integrations, presents a slight learning curve because of the extensive selection of modules. A few problems are simple bugs that occur, there was an update that helped us view specific reports when they were trying to be saved or printed.

Another bug that seemed to be fixed by skytouch is when payments would decline, and a new method of payment was added then that second payment would also decline. What do you like best about Engine?

I can book hotels on a whim. I book over 30 rooms a week across all of California and not have to worry about the mess of waiting on a Sales Director to send me over 2-3 documents via email just to book a room for more than 4 rooms, not to mention Engine will find you the CHEAPEST option and sort the hotel rooms that way. There have been a few times I have thought to myself " Hey this DoubleTree is usually $170-200 per room night but its going for $90 on Engine, Is this legit" and 100% of the time it is. Come the time where i need to call support to handle a hotels credit card handling, all i have to do is dial the support number listed at the bottom of the support tab and I give one reference quote stating my issue and i get directly sent to a human who solves the issue 100% of the time. There was one particular time I booked a room for one of my superintendent's down in Long Beach Ca. The hotel was gorgeous and highly sought after for the people that go down there for our freeway project we were doing. The hotel mishandled my guys card 2 stays in a row. Both times i called them to rectify his CC charges and try to get him the money reimbursed they mischarged. All it took was one phone call and my guy got his money back for BOTH stays. What do you dislike about Engine?

The only quirk I found would be useful is that i feel as if there should be a general "Notes for the Front Desk" tab upon booking the reservation, although I do not doubt that it end up becoming a thing at one point or another, there is a few things I could use it for. There are a plethora of Night workers we have and they usually show up at these hotels at 1-4am and there have been a bunch of hotels that have actually cancelled the reservation under their assumption that they wont show up. I do work around this by calling but then that defeats some of the purpose by having to contact the hotel anyways. Sometimes i even like to note that they will have a larger vehicle and put a note there saying so. Also, a dark mode feature would be pretty cool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Getting rid of a paper trail and having to recollect every hotels charge on the company card and sifting through each folio for every guy. This works for assuring my employees aren't buying things they shouldn't be buying with our card on file and also having to have each folio for the accounting team to know how to code each hotel charge. Managing 4 properties across multiple countries could be a logistical nightmare. Cloudbeds makes it feel manageable. One login, consistent reporting, and the channel manager keeping everything in sync across OTAs - it just works.

What I appreciate most is not having to stitch together five different tools. Everything we need is there: reservations, rates, distribution, guest communication, reporting. For a lean team running multiple properties, that’s everything.

Distribution and rate management used to eat time we didn’t have. Keeping rates consistent across channels, avoiding overbookings, reacting to demand across properties in different markets. Cloudbeds handles all of that without us having to think about it.

But the biggest surprise has been guest experience. Even for OTA bookings where you’d normally know almost nothing about the guest before arrival the pre-check-in flow captures real data. By the time a guest walks in, we already know who they are. I've been using Hospitable for over 7 years and it has become the central brain of my guest and cleaner operations. The automated messaging is unmatched — guests get the right information at exactly the right time without me lifting a finger. The cleaner coordination and scheduling automation has been just as valuable; my turnover process runs itself. After years of managing STRs across multiple markets, I can't imagine operating without it. It's one of the few tools I've used this long and still rely on daily. The only real pain point has been the VRBO connection — it's a bit finicky compared to the Airbnb integration. Syncing and automation don't always behave as seamlessly on the VRBO side, which can require some extra monitoring. That said, this feels more like a VRBO API limitation than a Hospitable problem. What do you like best about Guesty?

We recently completed a migration to Guesty and currently manage around 100 short term rental properties on the platform. The system is robust and clearly built with professional property managers in mind.

Guesty brings a lot of functionality into one place, including channel distribution, messaging, automation, and integrations with other systems in our tech stack. The API connections and integrations have been solid so far and allow us to connect several operational tools that we rely on.

Our onboarding team, particularly Aarti and Enjoli, were very helpful throughout the migration process. Migrating a portfolio of homes between systems can be complex, but the onboarding team made the transition much smoother than expected. They were responsive and patient while we worked through setup questions and configuration issues.

Managing a portfolio of roughly 100 properties requires systems that are reliable and scalable, and Guesty provides a strong operational backbone for companies working at that level.

After more than 20 years in the vacation rental industry and experience with several PMS platforms, Guesty stands out as a powerful system for companies operating at scale. As we continue scaling our portfolio, we are looking forward to seeing Guesty continue expanding automation and reporting capabilities for professional managers. Guesty is a powerful platform, but it comes with a learning curve and requires careful configuration to fully leverage its capabilities. For companies managing larger portfolios, consistency in how taxes, fees, and reporting structures are set up becomes very important.

I suggest improving or completing the information regarding some functionalities, including the performance indicator (and how to improve it); allow modifications from Beyond to the connected platforms (for example, blocking nights or manual rate modification); and allow access to comparative analytical information of the city (area), even if you have the basic subscription.
