“High-Quality reporting for Cloud Infrastructure Insights”
What do you like best about Tableau?

It helps to consolidate data across various customers/geographies and make them presentable in a high quality graphical format. it can generate time series graph for https requests, login attempts, CPU usage etc. This finally enables us to gain insight into cloud infrastructure planning. The UI of tableau is quite intutive and any techie with basic DB query skill can use it to create reports easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

The product is overall good but we need to request for it's license through our internal IT Infrastructure team. Whereas Power BI comes bundled with Microsoft products and our company is encouraging us to use Power BI Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Microsoft Power BI?

Can easily connect to data sources like lists, SQL servers, as well as Excel /csv stored in SharePoint, then build semantic models which can also be further used to build reports using a wide variety of prebuilt charts,The charts can be populated with data by dragging and dropping the respective columns from the dataset to create the chart. It’s also easy to publish dashboards and write access control rules. Its a no code business data analytics solution from Microsoft with minimal coding to build a dashboard Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power BI?

Data loading takes time, so when I’m working with large datasets, even a minor change means I have to wait through the loading time again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Power BI solving and how is that benefiting you?

Power BI helps me easily convert raw data into insights by using the data editor to transform the data, then connecting it to charts and building a dashboard. After that, the report can be published, and the dataset can be refreshed by setting time triggers. Overall, it’s very easy to publish a report and share it with multiple users. “Helpful for Managing and Analyzing Operational Data”
What do you like best about Databricks?

We use Databricks to process booking and service data before creating operational dashboards for our team. I imported datasets into Delta tables, used SQL queries to prepare revenue and booking metrics, and built KPI dashboards to monitor provider performance and monthly trends. Catalog Explorer made it easier to inspect schemas and validate data before reporting. Keeping data preparation, querying, and visualization in one workspace reduced manual work and helped us generate reports faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Databricks?

The main challenge was the initial learning curve. Understanding the workspace layout, Catalog Explorer, SQL Warehouses, and dashboard configuration took some time when I first started using it. After a few days of working with the platform, navigation became much more intuitive, but better onboarding for new users would make the experience smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Databricks solving and how is that benefiting you?

Databricks helps us centralize data preparation, SQL analysis, and reporting in one platform instead of switching between multiple tools. I used it to create managed Delta tables, analyze booking and revenue data with SQL, and build dashboards to track KPIs, provider performance, and monthly trends. This made reporting faster and helped us monitor operational performance more efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Fast, Consistent Data Exploration Across Dimensions with Kyvos Semantic Layer”
What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?

What I appreciate most about Kyvos semantic layer is how fast we can explore data across regions, products and time periods. You can move across different dimensions and drill into metrics without worrying about how the query is being handled in the background. Numbers stay consistent across reports. There’s less back-and-forth on definitions, which makes discussions more focused on insights rather than validating the data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?

There’s a bit of a mindset shift in how you approach analysis. Instead of building queries from scratch each time, you rely more on the pre-defined models and structures.

Once you get used to that way of working, it actually makes analysis much more straightforward across the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our biggest challenge was working with large volumes of data without slowing down analysis. Queries used to get expensive and time-consuming, especially when multiple people were exploring data at the same time.

With Kyvos, we’re able to interact with data much more freely. It’s easier to explore trends, compare performance, and answer follow-up questions without worrying about query delays. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Embedded Dashboards and Consistent Metrics That Cut Support Tickets”
What do you like best about GoodData.AI?

We’ve embedded those dashboards directly within our product, so customers don’t ever need to leave our app to see their numbers. And while that may seem minor – it has greatly reduced the amount of support tickets coming in because of confusion over who or how numbers were being pulled. Another feature I found very helpful is the semantic layer’s ability to keep all of the metrics consistent across all of the dashboards. Before we started using GoodData, different departments were pulling completely different numbers for the same items and no one knew why. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about GoodData.AI?

It takes longer than I would prefer to set up some of the more advanced dashboards. There is a steep learning curve when trying to figure out the correct KPI configurations and there is a lot of trial and error involved before anything “clicks”. Honestly, even though the documentation is extensive, it still assumes that you already understand the terminology that they use and I had to go back and learn a lot of new terms simply to be able to ask an intelligent question in their support chat. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is GoodData.AI solving and how is that benefiting you?

Finance and Ops did not agree on the versions of those spreadsheets and therefore did not agree on the numbers either. We now have one location where the numbers are defined once and then utilized consistently across all locations and thereby eliminating any disagreements over whose version of the number is correct and additionally, by implementing GoodData, we have been able to provide our clients with self service analytics capabilities inside of our application rather than having to develop that capability ourselves from scratch. That likely saved us months worth of engineering time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Intuitive Dashboarding with Exceptional Support”
What do you like best about Knowi?

I use Knowi to dashboard ecommerce performance, and it's great because I no longer need to manage manual CSVs across multiple platforms. The dashboarding features are intuitive, making my data easy to consume, saving me a ton of time. I also like the onboarding and support teams—they're always ready to help, especially for API-specific challenges. Onboarding helps me learn the platform quickly, and the support team is prompt in problem-solving any issues, which means I can unblock my progress within a day. Once the API setup and dashboard is running, it doesn't take much maintenance, and it's easy to share. Plus, embedding into Notion automates a ton of reporting, which is a game changer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Knowi?

I think there could be more guidance for different types of API connections for popular platforms like Shopify, Google Analytics, and Tableau. It can take time to get everything set up correctly the first time with Knowi's platform and API documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Knowi solving and how is that benefiting you?

“Effective Data Analysis with SAS Viya”
What do you like best about SAS Viya?

I have been using SAS Viya for data analysis for five years, and I appreciate its role in seamlessly transitioning from SAS Enterprise Miner during my mechanical engineering degree. I find it especially helpful for inventory management in my store, where it effectively addresses numerous data analysis challenges. Setting up SAS Viya was a breeze, largely due to its compatibility with virtual lab environments where most settings are pre-configured. The integration with SAS Studio, and the ability to use the PROC MIRP procedure, greatly facilitate my inventory management tasks. I find the data engineering tools particularly useful, with the 'data step' feature being my go-to tool for data engineering tasks. Its ability to pull data from my ERP system via SES, API tool, and perform data manipulations, as well as create basic graphs, is highly beneficial. Moreover, I have integrated Microsoft Excel with SAS Viya successfully, which enhances my workflow. I am particularly impressed with SAS Viya's integration capabilities with other applications like SAS Model Studio and SAS Visual Analytics, which make it an exceptionally versatile tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAS Viya?

“Intuitive Drag-and-Drop Analytics That Speeds Up Data Prep and Insights”
What do you like best about Alteryx?

What I like best about Alteryx is its intuitive drag-and-drop interface that enables rapid data preparation, transformation, and analytics without extensive coding. It integrates well with multiple data sources, automates repetitive workflows, and significantly reduces the time required to build data pipelines and generate business insights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Alteryx?

One drawback of Alteryx is its relatively high licensing cost, which can be a barrier for smaller teams. Complex workflows can also become difficult to maintain and version-control compared to code-based solutions. Additionally, processing very large datasets may require significant system resources and can sometimes be less efficient than scalable cloud-native platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Alteryx solving and how is that benefiting you?

Alteryx helps solve challenges related to data preparation, integration, and workflow automation by bringing data from multiple sources into a single, streamlined process. This benefits me by reducing manual effort, improving data accuracy, accelerating reporting and analytics, and allowing more time to focus on deriving business insights rather than managing data processing tasks. “Amazing AI and SQL Autocomplete That Speeds Up My Work”
What do you like best about Hex?

Recent AI capabilities are amazing, and I’ve been using them a lot. When I’m writing SQL queries, I especially like the autocomplete features—they make my work faster and help me write more accurately. I also like the data schema explorer when I need to find specific tables, and it’s helpful for quickly exploring their contents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hex?

Notebooks can quickly get messy once you start creating a lot of cells in the same notebook, and it’s easy to lose your place while scrolling to find the cell you’re looking for. I’m not fully convinced by this Notebook and App partitioning, because it feels clunky and confusing in practice. For example, when you’re working with tabs, it’s hard to tell in the Notebook which cells are associated with which tabs. I also found it strange that the order of cells shown in the App is different from the order in which they appear in the Notebook. Finally, I’d like you to offer a native way to push data to a Google Spreadsheet, since that currently isn’t possible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Hex solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps me quickly solve the data-related questions I run into every day as a Product Manager. I use it to track the performance of my funnels and features, which makes it easier to stay on top of what’s working and what needs attention. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Lightdash: Lightning-Fast dbt-Powered BI with Rapid Feature Releases”
What do you like best about Lightdash?

It is built on top of dbt and combines the best of all worlds:

- it is 10x faster to compute visualizations than Tableau

- it is much easier to built data models than in Tableau or Looker

- data models are directly "verified"/they break if they are not compatible within dbt (in Tableau/Looker, similar tools -- these are two separate worlds)

- the Lightdash team releases new features (also upon request) at lightning speed

- I can build new dashboards/charts via prompting in Cursor Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lightdash?

Honestly I don't see any so far: If at all, it requires relatively high technical skill. It cannot be used effectively by a "plug-n-play" BI Analyst.

If the price is an issue, one can consider self-hosting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Lightdash solving and how is that benefiting you?

I started off liking Tableau as a BI tool better than PowerBI.

Then, I could see the compute downsides and missing git repo in Tableau compared to Looker.

Then, I can see the issue that Looker is very expensive and that Looker is not dbt integrated, i.e. you constantly need to maintain two disconnected repos and make changes in two places.

Lightdash is by far the best BI tool out there today. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Scalable Analytics with Room for Growth”
What do you like best about Looker?

I find Looker's LookML semantic model incredibly valuable because it allows users to use an intuitive drag and drop interface for reports without needing to worry about underlying SQL queries. I also like the advanced features such as liquid syntax, which provide flexibility for use cases like currency conversion or period over period analysis with dynamic lookup windows. It's also great that we could scale our embedded data product from 0 to 3500 users thanks to Looker's centralized governance and observability. The dashboarding experience being far easier to embed than to build ourselves is another aspect I appreciate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Looker?

The visualizations in Looker feel a little dated, as they have not kept up with the options provided by competitors for visualizing data. There is very little to no AI functionality out of the box, which feels like a miss. The pricing for our use cases grew significantly from 2022 onwards, increasing from mid-5 figures to 6-figures in GBP per year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Looker solving and how is that benefiting you?

Looker scales data transformation to 3500 users, ensuring centralized governance. The LookML semantic model allows intuitive drag-and-drop report creation, making dashboard embedding easy and enabling complex analyses like currency conversion seamlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“The best reporting tool to get the detailed analysis of a software (Analytics Tool)”
What do you like best about Jaspersoft?

One of the standout features of Jaspersoft is its robust and comprehensive framework for reporting. It supports a wide range of functionalities that are often difficult to achieve with other reporting tools. Users can extract data in multiple formats including graphs, PDF, Excel, and CSV, providing great flexibility for analysis and distribution.

Jaspersoft also offers powerful scheduling capabilities, allowing reports to be automatically generated and delivered via email or SFTP at specified times. The Domain feature adds an extra layer of convenience and security, enabling access to the database based on predefined roles and permissions.

The platform is user-friendly and straightforward to implement. Creating and deploying new reports is a seamless process, making it highly efficient for developers and analysts alike. In cases where support is needed, Jaspersoft provides access to dedicated support engineers who are readily available to help troubleshoot and resolve any issues.

In our case, Jaspersoft is integrated with our core Java application, allowing users to access reports directly after logging into the main system. This integration was simple and effective. Specifically, for the Symplr ShiftSelect product, Jaspersoft plays a crucial role. Hospital administrators rely on it daily to review audit data, and many essential reports are scheduled on an hourly basis for continuous monitoring.

Compared to the oler versions of jasper in the newer vversion v10 the performance has significantly increased.

They have AI features which enables user to use the products more efficiently.

Overall, Jaspersoft is a highly recommended tool for any software company looking to implement reliable and scalable reporting solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jaspersoft?

Currently, there are no major drawbacks to highlight. However, it would be beneficial if Jaspersoft offered more flexible or discounted licensing options, especially for organizations integrating it into their products. This could help reduce the overall cost impact and make the solution more accessible for a wider range of businesses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Jaspersoft solving and how is that benefiting you?

Jaspersoft has significantly simplified reporting across sectors. Traditionally, generating reports required building custom solutions from scratch, often with limited export options and time-consuming development cycles. Jaspersoft eliminates these challenges by enabling users to create complex reports quickly and efficiently. Its user-friendly interface and powerful features make report implementation much faster—like using a rapid development toolkit specifically for reporting. “Easiest BI Tool: Live Snowflake Data in a Spreadsheet-Like Experience”
What do you like best about Sigma?

It's honestly the easiest BI tool I've used. Feels like a spreadsheet but it's pulling live data straight from Snowflake no extracts, no stale data. Setting up the connection with Snowflake is dead simple too, works with key pair or OAuth so it's quick and secure. We use it for a bunch of things client project dashboards, migration trackers, internal trackers and it handles all of it without any hassle. Anyone can pick it up quickly, no SQL needed. Makes my life a lot easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sigma?

Gets a bit laggy when workbooks have a lot going on lots of elements, big datasets, that kind of thing. Some of the advanced features aren't super intuitive at first, you kind of have to figure them out on your own. Not a dealbreaker but could be smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were spending way too much time building one-off reports for people. Now with Sigma, teams can build their own dashboards and trackers we use it for migration tracking, client project reporting, and internal operations tracking. The Snowflake connection was easy to set up and stays reliable, so everyone has access to real-time data whenever they need it. “Flexible, User-Friendly Collaboration for SQL & Python Analysis with Solid LLM Integration”
What do you like best about Count?

I like that it’s a very flexible collaboration and analysis tool. It solves a lot of the headaches that come with working alongside other analysts, and it also makes it easier to share those analyses with business stakeholders. On top of that, its LLM integration is solid and pushes the overall user-friendliness even further.

It integrates well with our data warehouse (BigQuery), and is generally quite performant. It's very useful that you can both run SQL and Python for analysis. The support team is very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Count?

I would like it slightly more if it had more features to lock down reports and create truly reusable dashboards. Right now it's more of a scratchpad (which is very useful), but we still use Tableau next to it for our "gold standard" reports as Count can be quite "open" and does not (to my knowledge) allow for the possibility to completely lock down a certain canvas to enable users to use it as a dashboard. “Powerful Embedded BI with Proactive Support Addressing Performance at Scale”
What do you like best about Luzmo?

Luzmo's embedding capabilities and modern BI features make it powerful for multi-tenant SaaS applications. The Luzmo IQ natural language querying feature is particularly impressive, allowing end users to ask questions about their data conversationally. The multi-tenancy architecture with account overrides enables secure data isolation across client environments. The Databricks connectivity works smoothly, and the cross-filtering functionality provides good interactivity.

What stands out most is their customer-first approach. When we raised performance concerns, their Product team committed to a complete Databricks connector overhaul—not just a patch—addressing both JOIN and formula pushdowns. We've been kept informed throughout and will be among the first customers migrated to the new connector. This responsiveness to enterprise customer needs is exceptional. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Luzmo?

Very little at this point. We experienced some initial performance challenges with dataset linking at large scale, but the Luzmo team responded proactively with a comprehensive solution in development (expected Q1 2026). The communication and support throughout has been excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Luzmo solving and how is that benefiting you?

Luzmo solves the challenge of providing embedded, white-labeled analytics dashboards for our multi-tenant SaaS platform serving enterprise supply chain clients. Rather than building a custom BI solution from scratch, Luzmo provides production-ready embedded dashboards that integrate seamlessly into our application while maintaining strict data isolation between clients through account overrides.

The multi-tenancy architecture allows us to deploy the same dashboard templates across multiple enterprise customers while ensuring each client sees only their data. This significantly accelerates our time-to-market for new client onboarding and reduces development overhead.

Luzmo enables us to deliver sophisticated forecast analytics visualizations—including complex metrics like wMAPE, Bias, and FVA calculations—without requiring our data engineering team to build and maintain a full front-end visualization layer. The Databricks connectivity allows us to leverage our existing data infrastructure while providing interactive dashboards.

The Luzmo IQ natural language querying feature adds significant value by allowing non-technical users to ask questions about their forecast performance data conversationally, reducing the need for custom reports and training.

Overall, Luzmo allows our small team to deliver enterprise-grade embedded analytics to multiple Fortune 500 clients without the engineering resources required to build a proprietary BI platform. This product allows a lot of flexibility in reporting and is a vaulable asset to the way our organization uses data to make business decisions.

Its user-friendly interface, seamless data integrations, and superb customer support make it an excellent choice for any organization seeking to optimize their reporting and analytics processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Easy Insight?

Only constructive feedback I have is I wish there was a way to have data update immediately, but I don't foresee a workaround since this platform pulls data from outside software, and response times between the two will never be fully succinc - just the nature of the beast. What problems is Easy Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?

Reporting, data analytics, real-time audit of employee budget, time entries, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Seamless On-Premise Solution That Puts You in Control”
What do you like best about Reveal?

Reveal runs entirely on our infrastructure, does not require any external connections, and is seamlessly exposed as part of our product. This was a top item when considering embedded analytics, as a number of our customers operate in highly regulated spaces. The flat-rate pricing was also key when evaluating their solution against the competition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Reveal?

They don't yet have support for Iceberg or Delta Lake tables, which has become increasingly important for some of our customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Reveal solving and how is that benefiting you?

Reveal provides embedded dashboards enabling our users to produce custom reports specific to their needs, without having to engage our team in custom development. Additionally, Reveal enables us to put our application data in the hands of data scientists, allowing a richer understanding of the data within our product. In total, we will save time as a development organization and our customers will save time as well dealing with custom reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Effortless Live Dashboards and Data Blending with Domo”
What do you like best about Domo?

I love how Domo can easily pull data from all my different tools and turn it into clean, live dashboards—no tech genius required. The data cleanup tool (Magic ETL) is really straightforward to use; you can drag and drop to blend your data together without a hassle. On top of that, being able to check accurate, real-time stats on my phone while I’m out and about is incredibly convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Domo?

The pricing can feel pretty steep and a bit non-transparent, which makes it hard for smaller teams to justify. And while it’s strong for high-level dashboards, doing deeper, more granular data exploration can be surprisingly clunky at times. There’s also a definite learning curve once you try to move beyond the basics and start customizing things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Domo solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before Domo, our data was trapped in isolated spreadsheets and different software, meaning we wasted hours manually building reports that were already outdated by the time they were finished. Domo connects everything into one central hub automatically.

The biggest benefit for us is having a single, reliable source of truth. We can immediately see what’s working and what isn’t in real time, which saves a huge amount of time and helps us make faster decisions based on actual facts instead of gut feelings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
