Automated testing software can refer to a few different components of application development and maintenance. Software testing products give teams the ability to evaluate software performance, usability, and functionality. Teammates can utilize the feedback to add additional functionality and make necessary changes. Test automation tools are a component of the development process that monitors application performance and assists users in tracking bugs. “LambdaTest is the way to go for Cross Browser Testing”
What do you like best?

Reliability: My team would automate multiple tests in parallel across hundreds of browsers. Our test requirements scale on-demand basis and the automation grid by LambdaTest is sturdy and stable enough to execute them without any hiccups.

Integrations: Huge set of integrations. We make the most out of LambdaTest integrations. The product is tightly coupled with other tools that it has become a part of our daily routine. We push bugs to Slack on the go. Use Slack app to instantly capture full page screenshots with a simple slack command. We also have it integrated with Trello to mark bugs in our stories and tasks. Plus, have our Jenkins job integrated with LambdaTest automation via their Jenkins plugin. LambdaTest has made our job easier by offering these integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Although the platform does well for us, but i would mention few things that can be improved,

a) Dashboard Analytics - Would be better to have more detailed reports generated with smarter insights?

b) Emulators are good but real devices are the deal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Earlier we were relying on our own device farm and in house infra setup of machines and managed them to run automated tests serially. However, it was a taxing approach for us. We had to constantly manage and monitor the infrastructure and our DevOps team was already having their hands full. Plus, the addition of more devices meant spending more money. We realized we couldn’t scale this way. That’s what made us switch to LambdaTest. The cloud solution offered by LambdaTest helped us save time and effort. Parallel testing allowed us to scale as we needed.Without a doubt LambdaTest, helped us with faster deployment cycle and a better team collaboration! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1. The best thing about Postman that it is very easy to use with minimal complexities and a lot of functionalities.

2.Also we can create a workspace/team on Postman to work with colleagues and invite them on the same.

3.Account sync feature is amazing and in case you are trying on some other laptop just log in and get all your APIs.

4.Running/creating/testing API's is a very smooth and elegant process just with the help of Postman.

5.It also maintains all the history and multiple APIs can be tested in different tabs just to segregate stuff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Semaphore - the next phase in the evolution of CI”
What do you like best?

I've been doing CI/CD for more than 15 years, helping teams start doing it, improve their means to do it, and in general making it *boring*. In other words, removing the drama and headaches that plague poor implementations and letting devs focus on other things. Semaphore v2 is hands-down the best CI product I've used to that end. It's designed by people who really are attuned to what makes good pipelines work and have made that their primary focus.

Semaphore v2 really shines on these points:

* Clutter-free UX and effective pipeline visualizations. Semaphore v1 was great, but didn't do so well here - v2 fixed those problems in a big way. Semaphore also obliterates tools like Jenkins and Bamboo in terms of UX. It's extremely intuitive and easy to navigate.

* Incredibly flexible platform, but without the open-ended bloat of Jenkins. Semaphore is opinionated to a degree, but it's opinionated in just the right ways so that you can't help but to end up with effective CI/CD using a very simple set of well-designed building blocks.

* Parallelism is a first class citizen. You can do pretty much anything you want in parallel, but define serial dependencies if you need them. You can also right-size with the appropriate compute resources at a VERY fine-grained level. All of this makes for a billing and activity model that is very fine-grained and useful - kudos on having excellent UX for these features too

* Easy-to-understand logs and job timings. There's always a desire to improve one's pipelines and this provides just the right information to do so. Rather than just show a raw txt dump (which you *can* get if you really want), logs are visually broken up into sections so you can see how long each part takes to run. You can also easily see which steps (if any) failed. I really do not like sifting through unparsed log output to try and find what broke - Semaphore has solved this problem very elegantly.

* Peerless debug facilities. The ability to attach to running or pristine build containers using a copy-paste terminal command is a killer feature and has saved me many hours of work.

* Useful utilities like the sem CLI and the Toolbox built-in to the platform. The Semaphore team anticipates what developers need, freeing us up to focus on more important things. Also helps keep our pipeline scripts short and sweet.

* Semaphore Secrets is excellent, from a feature point of view. Encryption by default, and we don't need to manage it. Having names of secrets in our pipelines rather than the encrypted secrets themselves is a plus.

* Effective strategy for making builds faster and more reliable by supporting a lot of caching patterns and download mirroring. The recent changes to avoid DockerHub throttling is a great example. Other tools often leave you to fend for yourself on these points and that takes time away from more useful pursuits

* Friction-free integration with Github for users and status checks. This was decent in Semaphore v1, and it's extremely good in v2.

* The support team is AWESOME. they respond quickly and almost always have an answer or a suggestion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Semaphore v2 is still somewhat of a young product and as such there are a few rough spots in terms of features, but they are not nearly enough to make me reconsider using the product as it is today.

Specifically, I found the following things to be a bit rough:

* The artifact tool is a bit tricky, sometimes getting tripped up on certain filenames and not restoring a file to its original location. Fairly easy to work around, but more work than it should be.

* No high-level project health dashboard like we had in Semaphore v1 (or pretty much any tool). We can make dashboards, but they are all very commit-centric which doesn't work as well for managers and architects that just want to keep an eye on the basics

* The permissions model is very rudimentary, and this is a bit of a problem for more security-minded folks. For example, it's not possible to control access to secrets or who can manually deploy code to production. We rely on Github to keep us out of trouble, but I feel like this needs some more development.

* I'm not crazy about all secrets being global - the Semaphore v1 model (global + project secrets) was better IMO for managing large numbers of projects.

* It's not possible to parameterize manual runs. Though best case you don't need this sort of thing in a well-designed CI/CD pipeline, occasionally it's useful for things like hotfixes or rollbacks - exceptional circumstances.

* I can't seem to find a way to navigate the build history for a branch, i.e. scroll through a list of all the commits in order. This is a missing feature that other tools have

* If a pipeline is Stopped abnormally (i.e. neither Passes nor Failed), I have no information to tell me why. I probably should be able to see this info. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Have worked at two companies now using Semaphore to build out pipelines for new AWS serverless projects. The main outputs of this are:

1) We have a hands-off CI/CD solution that Just Works. It requires no dedicated staff to maintain and extending our pipelines (or making new ones) is very easy. Drama-free.

2) It's a great educational tool. It's hard to learn what you need to do to make a solid pipeline fi you've never done it before and often find myself on teams where that's the case. Semaphore is not only a great tool for *building* pipelines, it's also a great tool for teaching people how to build them. The visual pipeline view alone is worth its weight.

3) It is incredibly cost-effective to run Semaphore, for the same reasons it's cost-effective to run serverless - you don't pay for idle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“An exclusive system to promote the tests you carry out in an easy and fast way.”
What do you like best?

I like this software since it is centralized in adapting a system to the clients of a company, with demands for systematic implementations to bring it to its most suitable environment, I am fascinated by Cypress since its functions acquire a higher technological level, precisely in areas for the correct development of fully customized operating systems, to be visible and guaranteed, when we refer to sales with the virtual public that each organization supports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Apparently Cypress does not provide security reports of its own operation to registered users in these facilities, which means a problem on a large scale, since we cannot verify said receipt of any operation in progress, being a point that harbors mistrust , in these processes of great importance, although most of the occasions its operations are guaranteed, without excluding that it must integrate more information to its interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Cypress guarantees that the tests you carry out on the operating systems created in your developer organization are easier, more reliable and more practical to perform, thanks to its high-end technological tools that make these processes more flexible to execute in a business environment, allowing to personalize said promoted software, which is recommended, since it provides comfort in these areas of high work effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use this software to carry out constant tests in the life cycle of a particular product, and we can even customize it to an environment more adapted to the demands of a client, which is a great proportion to us since we provide a complex service to the needs presented by the operators of our platforms interested in the services and products we offer, with its personalized development system being useful to guarantee total satisfaction to each of the individuals we have. “Good software and helps speed up the automation time”
What do you like best?

Ranorex helps speed up the automation process and good to get upto speed with quickly. Its easy to learn and pick up but has the ability to enhance functionality by manually adding user codes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

It has some quirks around not being able to certain things which are limited by design. These are generally possible in a selenium coding environment but obviously take longer to create. also, it doesn't support flutter for mobile app testing.

The other major issue that we keep hitting is Ranorex requires access to the gui aspect of window. So unlike with Selenium, where you can to a degree continue to use your machine for other activites, it requires full control of your machine. This means your local machine (if running tests locally) will be redundant for the duration of your test run. The other issue relating to this is it seems to be a nightmare to actually get this working with Jenkins. The machine need to be run with a Jeenkins node but requires it to be a physical machine. We tried various virtual solutions but as our test pack is heavily image validation oriented is seems to be impossible to get a clean run on a virtual machine without spending thousands to create a real-like virtual machine (at which point its cheaper to buy a real machine).

another issue we are facing is multiple users working with Ranorex is a nightmare, doing code review, code completion etc. we always have a nightmare when it comes to code merge time, its usually the most scariest time know full well someone will likely loose all their work and we will have to rebuild the tests Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

What do you like best?

When a project is employee-only it is just best to have it behind a system that only allows access by single sign-on and separate from the main public repository until it is ready to become live or discarded. This means no accidental pushes to the wrong remote branch or mistakenly making it public since it works in a completely different system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Jenkins is extended by many helpful enterprise plugins like role based access, templates and many more and especially by connecting the various Jenkins to one huge cluster that you can manage and operate like one large Jenkins including trigger and copy artifact. Installed on a cloud system like OpenShift, you can even spin up a new Jenkins with one click. License allows any number of Jenkins instances.

Teams can be onboarded and managed easily with templates.

Automated and quality assured updates of most important plugins make maintenance a lot easier.

Support is professional and fast in most cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The paid version is quite expensive. The license model was improved - it formerly was per master and executors which could lead to architecture based on license. Today it is better, now based on users (logged in or committing to SCM) , but with high costs per user, which can lead to hight costs very fast or it might lead you to try to limit number of users or switch some projects back to open source Jenkins losing the clustering advantages for these teams.

Changes and bugfixes sometimes can take a long time if they are important for you but not relevant for (many) other customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Jenkins, the de facto standard for CI, can be a lot more useful with the enterprise plugins and with the clustering option.

You can manage large projects or many teams and projects a lot better than with one large Jenkins (Jenkinstein) or with many small non-connected ones.

Refactoring is made easier by just moving directories/projects around in the cluster.

Jobs can run as if they were on one large Jenkins (i.e. trigger, copy artifacts etc.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Game Changer for Dev and Product Team Release Cycles”
What do you like best?

I've seen many in house solutions to feature toggling. I've even built a few myself. Feature toggling is not a new idea in web dev. Most companies are doing some version of it in their apps today. I'm guessing most are not as well thought out, future ready and extensible as LaunchDarkly. After seeing LaunchDarkly's approach I know mine wasn't. Save your dev teams from reinventing the wheel many times over, try out LD!

LD had all the all the integrations ready to go and easy to setup, no cryptic guides or buggy attempts. Our all integrations worked with little to no fuss.

Their IAM strategy is best in class. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

It takes some practice for the real power of LaunchDarkly to "click" for everyone within your org. LaunchDarkly takes user context and targeting rules out of the code and into shared admin interfaces, democratizing these controls. It's a huge time saver and reduces friction between dev and product release cycles. This can be a huge paradigm shift for both dev teams and product managers in order to get it right. The LD team has amazing onboarding and training documents, demos and support staff. Don't miss out, use them to educate your teams early and often! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

1. Code releases ahead of product launches.

2. Demos and sales pitches of new features and products in PROD envs. for 3rd party partnerships. Safe, self service controls for QA, Product and Sales teams.

3. Permanent toggles states for different business channels leveraging common components with slight variations.

4. Wholesale UX flow changes to meet business cases and still maintaining DRY standards in our code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
