"A Nice coding software"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I like that it can use and support multiple coding languages and keeps them separate from each other. It also has a nice plugin manager, which makes it useful in finding plugins you like. I also like how it is customizable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The setup for different languages can be very tedious, especially if it's your first time using the VSC. I also find that my laptop slows down and sometimes freezes when the resource usage is heavy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful and Smart IDE. Packed with every feature you need for perfect dev environment."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

There are lots of features I like in VS Code -

1. Code Collaboration. Since I've to share my screen now and then with my co-workers, it feels so easy to do with VSCode. The live-collaborating system makes working on the codebase easier.

2. Powerful IntelliSense is yet another part of VS Code that makes coding less hectic. The smart code completion feature is neatly integrated into VS Code.

3. VS Code has an ocean of plugins available so anything extra I need in the IDE is already available through plugins.

4. Easy configuration of keybindings is extremely helpful. Moreover, VS Code comes with the option to import existing keybinding of different text editors so this lets me easily switch between multiple text editors and still use the same keybindings.

5. Last but not least, I love the Themes available in VS Code ecosystem. I use the Cobalt2 theme and it suits the editor so well. Plus, the integrated terminal helps focus more on work, which reduces the time spent switching between different applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

When VS Code is fired up, file indexing takes a lot of time. Often you've to wait till the editor is ready to work. Moreover, when the document gets bigger, the editor seems to lag on scrolling through the tab. I have a good machine with decent specs, but I still face these performance issues. "One of the best IDEs out there, with a good collection of extensions"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

It has so many helpful extensions that make it highly customisable and extendable. Incorporating copilot into VS Code has also made coding simpler and much more fun. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

There aren't too many downsides to using VS Code, but the one that stands out is it doesn't have as much performance per screen as Visual Studio. Some of the paid plugins are also very expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best code editor for developers"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual Studio code provides the best extensions and libraries for a seamless coding experience. It has many great themes, which makes it the best IDE among the rest of its competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Visual studio consumes a lot of memory, which is the only thing I wouldn't say I like, as it slows down the PC and gets heated very fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best and most complete lightweight IDE"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

VS Code is super fast, portable and lightweight. It runs on about any computer produced nowadays and doesn't need that much RAM to execute, compared to its Jetbrains counterpart, Fleet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The default theme is a bit ugly, but thankfully, we can easily customize it with just about three clicks on the extensions section. Some parts of the autocompletion AI for the code linters are not as advanced as Jetbrains's. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
