"Couldn't ask for a better IDE !!"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Its best feature is its auto-suggestions feature and auto-complete feature. In the case of HTML language, Emmet does an excellent job (By just typing ! and entering, you get the boilerplate code of 7-8 lines in one go). It is compatible and works well with all the languages once you install the appropriate plugins (like live server extension for viewing your webpage in real-time, etc.) to your VS code. Also, if you forget about any tag, hover on it and click the link to get information about that tag. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

One thing one might find difficult is setting up VS code for Python, as you first need to install MinGW and then run a few commands only to download all the necessary libraries for your work, which is a bit hectic for beginners. Other than this, I did not find any other flaw in it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One of the best code editors present in the market for developers"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

The best part about visual studio code is that it provides the required tools and environment for developers who are working on multiple languages. It gives me ease of switching between different languages like python, dart, c++ and others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The thing that I dont like about VS code is that it does not have much customisation options for themes. Even though there are themes present, but they are limited. If I want to customise by my own I cannot do so. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"VS Code has become the basic necessity of any coder!!"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

1) It has endless customization opportunities.

2) You do not need to remember the exact syntax of any particular tag or even boilerplate. Thanks to the auto-suggestions.

3) It does not take much RAM and runs smoothly on any device.

4) Its direct integration with GitHub helps me code efficiently with my team members. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Although it has a lot of plugins, not all are up to the mark, and hence you need to install plugins with care.

Sometimes while running the code, its terminal crashes for which you need to restart your VS code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"VS Code is extremely versatile code editor"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I have been using VS code for quiet some time now and I can say it is amongst the best code editor out there. I have coded in multiple languages and using it and all I had to do was download an extension to support that language. I did not need any third party application for version control or api testing as it can be done using different extensions that can be downloaded in one click. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The only issue that I have had with VS Code is the ram consumption. Sometimes, when I open multiple tabs to edit multiple files, the ram consumption shoots up and there is slight stutter and lag. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

There are sometimes bugs and the application crashes. But this is open source software which can be devloped further, and bugs will get resolved pretty quicky is what I hope. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Code Editor I have used till now"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

The best thing about its extensions is that they make my daily work easy. You can install different themes; Git UI support has increased my productivity 2x. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Sometimes it takes time to load extensions, such as Git UI & stash not working correctly, and error notifications confuse me because even after an error notification, the thing is working & sometimes not.

VsCode code also takes more time to compile a file & it was not showing file content correctly; I had to switch to VSCode native color theme to work with that file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
