Sometimes it requires a lot of RAM, but only when many add-ons or extensions have been installed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The support for old languages is yet something new to it, as VS Code is relatively new compared to other famous text editors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intellisense on any OS and nearly any language"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Intellisense suggestions/autocomplete and debugging for PHP and JavaScript is super nice. I use Linux so I wasn't in a hurry to give this a try, but it's a good IDE. The extensive selection of plugins from the community is cool, too, especially for a closed-source product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I wish it worked with Mono and let me develop C# code on Linux with a built in execution window. It would also be nice if there was an "execute" button that would run my PHP or JS and show me the output in the editor window, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Visual Code is A Amazing Lightweight IDE"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

It's super lightweight with having the ability to add extentions to it in order to make your experience unique and get exactly what you're looking for out of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

There's not much I dislike about it. Some nitpicky things would be that ctrl+d doesn't duplicate a line or that when you have a bunch of pages open you have to scroll at the top instead of having a drop down list of the pages that you can select from. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Bueno pero lento"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

What I like the most are the options you have to customize it; the repository you can access from the application to add extensions is huge. You can practically turn it into an IDE. There are all kinds and for all aspects, performance, aesthetics, for specific languages. It also allows for very fine-tuned configuration, as there are many parameters to configure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The performance, it seems worse to me than many others (Notepad++, Atom, SublimeText). You can have 2 or 3 simple files open, and after a while, it starts to slow down and becomes really annoying. Version by version, it seems to be improving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
