"One of the best"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I love that you can install all kinds of plugins and have your own custom environment setup and you can also use keybinding from other editors that you're used to, which is pretty awesome. It also looks really good out of the box.

I also like the amount of themes that's available for the editor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I don't think there is anything that I can add here at this point as I pretty much love this editor.

I think if there is something I'll post something to your forum. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Why I chose Visual Studio Code over Sublime, Brackets and Atom"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

The main reason why I like Visual Studio Code the best is because it can keep up with my everyday development. From package control to the terminal, to testing my code and connecting via Chrome Dev Tools, Visual Studio Code can do it all... and amazingly well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I've chosen Visual Studio Code over many other text editors like Sublime Text, Atom, Brackets, TextEdit that I don't really have any issues with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"An excellent editor that makes continuous work easier"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I like it because it has an excellent editor that makes continuous work easier, offers many extensions, a good code autocompleteer, supports multilanguage, is the easiest platform to program in HTML, is updated with regulrity and supports debugger, access, activity bar and other features that facilitate a complete and fast programming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I can't find any bad aspects in VS Code, maybe I haven't been able to exploit the potential it has. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy mode Visual Studio"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

This IDE is great for both personal and work related projects. It is very light and can be amazingly extended with extensions and support for other languages and code snippets as well.

This is my go to for my Python projects. It also comes with an integrated terminal which you can use to execute your CLI commands on your project folder. And yes, you can point the default terminal to be Git Bash instead of the windows command tool (or powershell if you like!) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

There are a few other extensions that you need to download if you're planning on using this IDE for C# projects. I wouldn't recommend this IDE for .NET, because Visual Studio is just right there as the ultimate choice for .NET projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best text editor right now"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual Studio Code takes all the good features from other text editors and unifies it into a good free and customizable experience for everyone, from Web developers to PowerShell scripters. The amount of extensions that support multiple tools, text files, and programming languages looks infinite. But the feature that separates Visual Studio Code from the other entire text editor is the integrated debugger that works fine with a great number of languages, making the life easy for a lot of us developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

In general, I don't really dislike any specific area of the software it's a robust implementation for a text editor, if I must point out something that is confusing is the customization area for the incredible amount of options the software has, they have been trying to improve that area, but still need some changes to make it easy to look for and modify the options. Both are created by Microsoft and VSC itself is written in TypeScript.Visual Studio Code has coordinated Git control, ensuring speed, information honesty, and backing for dispersed, non-direct work processes. What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Document seek is very moderate. It's in no way, shape or form conceivable to utilize this instrument with huge activities given to what extent it takes to scan for files. Sometimes it doesn't let you know whether you made a grammatical mistake in a technique name or if a strategy isn't utilized and a few other significant highlights. "Visual Studio Code is the Best Universal IDE I've Used"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

It has all the features you would ever need in a universal integrated development editor.

Language support is stellar, and the ability to install extensions to manage any type of file extension is amazing.

Talking about extensions, the sheer number of extensions available and the number of features they are available for is incredibly overwhelming, in a good way. You can find an extension for just about any thing you wish to do when programming, on Visual Studio Code.

Version control is also amazing. Sometimes I forget to save changes to files before exiting, and my panic ends when I reopen VS Code and discover that the files have been automatically backed up.

The in-built terminal is also great; I don't use a software's inbuilt terminal if it's not on par with my linux terminal, and I use VS Code's all the time!

And on top of all of these, it's completely free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It can get heavy pretty quickly, as you need to download extensions with varying file sizes for a couple of essential functionalities.

VS Code also uses a lot of RAM which causes my computer to slow down when using it with other software like Chrome and Android Studio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It has GitHub features making for easy branch tracking. Terminal inside the editor is great, along with built in unit testing and syntax highlighting. Support for multiple programming languages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

While github support is useful, it does tend to create a lot of annoying popups which distract from workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
