The use of dataview's means it can be pulled together in a quick manner. I had to adjust to dataview's but now they are invaluable. The customer support for setting these up to get the most information is a value in itself. UKG has always had an excellent team of people who make their product come to life. **What do you dislike about UKG Pro?** The reports are broader than I like but they still cover the bases of what is needed. It is just a different type of reports than their previous versions. The upside to my dislike is they listen and eventually make changes I feel are positive. Specifically, the accrual detail report, which has a daily repeat of the balance. The prior report had a balance when a change occurred, such as reducing the vacation balance. Overall, you end up with 365 lines of data even though you make only have around 100 entries. It is a work in process. **What problems is UKG Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** UKG has solved many issues over the years. Our company has used them for so long I can't remember a time when we did not have UKG / Kronos products. We have moved from i-series to WFC to WFM Pro and each move has refined our ability to obtain our information in ways we did not know we needed. We have grown with UKG and feel we are better for it. It also integrates with our financial system to streamline the payroll system including special codes for the many different employment types our non-profit ministry has. The timesheet module has helpful features such as the notes button allowing staff to enter notes explaining any ussies or timesheet details in their timesheet rather than requiring the employee to share this with their approver outside of their timesheet. **What do you dislike about UKG Pro?** Unfortunately, UKG Pro tends to crash a lot causing staff issues when attempting to clock in or out, payroll codes can get messed up causing payroll errors or manual entries and edits, and the many helpful modules require you to navigate to different webpages in a non-intuitive way. It’s time-consuming and, in my experience, it typically doesn’t resolve the issue. I find it frustrating because when I look up instructions for tasks I do periodically, the instructions are often outdated due to updates, and tabs have moved to different screens. Since it is designed specifically for payroll, all the necessary features are available in a clear and simple format. I also want to add that the customer support is great, always available and ready whether it is on a ticket case through the Community or a phone call through the Rapid Response number. **What do you dislike about UKG Pro?** One aspect I really dislike about Pro is that the "work from home" flag on the employee record seems to have no effect. When someone is working remotely, this setting doesn't do anything. Before switching to Pro, we used Oracle, and in that system, if the "work from home" flag was set to "Yes," the software would automatically use the employee's home address for tax calculations. **What problems is UKG Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** With our previous software, Oracle, everything felt complicated. We basically needed to rely on a consulting firm all the time just to keep the system updated with regulatory changes. In contrast, UKG Pro is designed to handle these updates automatically, whether they involve taxes, salaries, or any other changes that require support. It's easy to navigate and learn for front end users, and as a System Administrator, I found it easy to pick up and learn. On the Pro side, Business Rules and other settings are easy to access and learn. It is easy to build skills by expanding knowledge into learning Platform Configuration. My favorite thing about UKG Pro is Business Intelligence aka People Analytics. The ability to customize reports and build robust calculations to fit business needs makes the tool incredibly valuable. I also really appreciate the UKG Community. The way users and UKG's experts interact in that space make it an incredibly powerful learning tool in addition to the UKG University. **What do you dislike about UKG Pro?** There have been some challenges in the past on the tax side of UKG; however, it appears that has been resolved. WFM Timekeeping is also a complex system from the configuration standpoint and there is a bit steeper of a learning curve for that system. **What problems is UKG Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** UKG Pro has helped us centralize our HR, benefits, and payroll processes across multiple component companies, which has significantly reduced manual work and improved data accuracy. We use it to manage complex PTO accruals, benefits eligibility, onboarding, and multi-entity reporting all in one place. My favorite feature is the reporting. UKG’s People Analytics tools let me build real-time dashboards, forecast costs, and support cross-functional teams with insightful metrics. It's made reporting faster, more accurate, and far more impactful.
