What do you like best about TalentHR?

What do you like best about TalentHR?

The best thing is how clean and simple it is. It doesn’t feel overwhelming, so it’s easy to get people to use it (myself included). We use it for the basics (employee info + all core HR tasks) and for managing time off, hiring, 1:1 performance reviews, and surveys. With TalentHR we’re not juggling a bunch of separate tools, we even got rid of the whistleblowing tool we used before deploying TalentHR. The AI assistant is a pretty cool new feature; I can quickly pull a snapshot of how to build something in the platform without having to go through support when I have a quick question. What do you dislike about TalentHR?

It currently covers all my needs, but I’d say that the performance feature feels a bit “light” if I need something more advanced in the future. We are currently restructuring our performance management internally, so I will need to re-evaluate that part of the platform based on what we ultimately implement. Also, reporting is useful for quick insights, but I sometimes wish I could slice the data in more detailed ways or customize dashboards more. "Simplifies Leave Management with Stellar Slack Integration"
What do you like best about TalentHR?

I use TalentHR to manage my own and employee leave, and it helps me to formalize the leave process, keeping track of how much leave my team has left. I like that it is quick, easy, and user-friendly, which makes it efficient for my needs. The integration with Slack is especially useful for me as it allows me to quickly and easily approve leave without needing to sign into a different platform, saving me a lot of time. What do you dislike about TalentHR?

I think the leave categories can be a bit confusing and unclear which leave is sick and which is annual leave and this makes it confusing to keep track of how much leave I have. Regarding the leave categories: TalentHR’s default time off types are Vacation, Sick Leave, and Bereavement, but they’re fully customizable. You can rename existing types (for example, adjust “Vacation” to “Annual Leave”), deactivate the ones you don’t need, or create new ones that better match your internal terminology.

You can also update each leave type’s annual allowance at any time, either manually or automatically through leave policies.

It sounds like your current setup may include overlapping custom types. A quick review of your Time Off settings should help simplify things and eliminate any confusion. If you’d like help optimizing that setup, our support team would be happy to assist.

What do you like best about TalentHR?

TalentHR has proven to be a refreshingly straightforward HR platform. Although it’s primarily designed for startups and small to medium-sized businesses, it manages to cover all the essential features without ever feeling overwhelming or complicated. The interface is clean, and having everything from employee records to time-off requests centralized in one place saves a lot of unnecessary back-and-forth and puts an end to the usual spreadsheet chaos. What stands out to me most is the hiring and onboarding process. Creating job posts, tracking candidates, and onboarding new hires with automated task lists has made everything much smoother for our team. The performance review and feedback tools are simple yet effective; they aren’t flashy, but they do exactly what’s needed. The analytics dashboard provides a clear overview of headcount, turnover, and assignments, which is really helpful for decision-making. What do you like best about TalentHR?

I find TalentHR incredibly valuable for several reasons. The AI assist feature is truly amazing as it allows our employees to access company information effortlessly without needing to reach out directly to other team members. This feature, along with the AI recruitment tool, streamlines hiring by checking the suitability of applicants and facilitating easy creation of company job pages. I particularly appreciate the ease of structuring and centralizing all documentation in one place, making it our first HRMS experience a positive one. The recruitment tool not only saves us a tremendous amount of time by effectively screening candidates and generating useful notifications but also by ensuring the suitability of each candidate. Additionally, the integration with Talent LMS makes TalentHR even more effective, and I love how easy it was to set up, thanks to its user-friendly interface and simple configuration process, including adding employees and customizing fields. We also love hearing setup was smooth and that centralizing documentation and admin work has boosted your overall efficiency, especially alongside the TalentLMS integration.

On payroll: totally hear you. While we do support compensation and benefits record keeping within each employee profile, we don’t currently offer direct payroll processing in TalentHR. That said, integrations with major payroll systems are on our roadmap, so you’ll be able to connect your payroll provider more seamlessly over time.

I love TalentHR for its simplicity and powerful capabilities. The user interface is clean and user-friendly, allowing everyone to navigate it effortlessly. The processes for leave and attendance management are seamless, with automatic updates and alerts which greatly optimize our workflow. TalentHR's document storage and access to employee records are exceptionally organized, ensuring that we can retrieve information quickly whenever needed. I find the performance evaluation workflows to be very effective, helping managers to complete reviews punctually. This platform has significantly reduced our manual workload and improved the accuracy of our HR processes. The transition to TalentHR from spreadsheets and emails has made our HR operations much more organized and rapid. What do you like best about TalentHR?

What I like best about TalentHR is how clean and intuitive the platform feels. The dashboard is extremely well-organized, so it’s easy to find exactly what I need whether it’s employee information, time-off requests, or performance data. I also really appreciate how quick the setup was; I didn’t need any complicated onboarding or tutorials because the interface is simple and user-friendly.

Today, TalentHR already supports custom fields for employee personal data, and you can control who sees and edits each field via role-based permissions—with roles themselves being fully customizable so you can match your internal structure as closely as possible. We’re also actively working on adding more custom fields across additional sections of the employee profile, so you can model more of your unique processes directly in the platform.

Looking ahead, we have two big areas on our roadmap that directly address what you’ve raised:

Workflow automation (coming in 2026): you’ll be able to create custom workflows to automate more of your HR tasks end-to-end, beyond what’s possible today.

Customizable communications (also coming in 2026): more control over the content, triggers, and targeting of notifications and messages, so they align tightly with your internal processes and tone of voice.

On the learning curve for advanced settings, we want to make sure you never feel stuck. Every page in TalentHR includes how-to guides and contextual tooltips, while admins and HR managers can use the AI-powered HR assistant to ask any question about how something works in the platform or even troubleshoot configuration issues in real time. On our website, you can also find video webinars helping you understand the capabilities of each individual feature available on TalentHR. We’re continuously expanding these resources so that configuring more advanced options feels as straightforward as the basics.

Eliminating manual calculations and reducing inevitable human errors for growing businesses is exactly the impact we strive for, and it’s great to know these automations are saving you hours of repetitive work—without putting a burden on your budget.

Regarding your feedback on flexibility with custom fields and forms, we’re happy to clarify that custom fields are fully flexible today—you can create and configure a range of field types, including dates (with custom expiration alerts), text, employee selectors, and more. And with our November 2025 release, admins can now define precisely who can view and who can edit each custom field, whether that’s based on default TalentHR roles or any custom roles you’ve created.

Survey forms are also fully customizable; you can build any survey from scratch or with AI assistance. We do agree, however, that performance review forms need more flexibility, and we’re already working on improvements planned for the coming months.
