SearchUnify is an amazing tool that helps us to enrich our client's ability to quickly find and reference needed documentation. It fills a gap that other vendors were unable to in configuring categorized searching. The AI integrations so far have been impressive as well. SU as partners are also extremely communicative and collaborative, always willing to lend a hand, jump on a call, and work through any items that come up. I can't recommend them enough. The SearchUnify teams are extremely helpful, from implementation on to support. Our Customer Success Managers, in particular, have been an invaluable resource and connection.
I appreciate the enhanced discovery it provides for our Appinium resources in our learning portal. We've seen an increase in usage that we can directly attribute to the search functionality.
I also appreciate the level of detail provided in the analytics session tracking details. That has enabled us to take a deeper dive into user behavior and searches by exporting it to Tableau and connecting it to our Salesforce data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
"Dislike" is the wrong word here, I think.
We have struggled to turn the data into action. Some of this is because of our resourcing constraints. Digging through the various data points we need to review can also be time-consuming. For example, some numbers are also rounded in the admin display. I must extract the raw data and use Excel tools and tricks to get the definitive numbers. I would appreciate a better extract option from SearchUnify to Tableau, where we can get real-time updates on a designated schedule and remove dependence on Excel spreadsheets.
We have also struggled a bit with identifying where to focus our efforts in the admin panel. There is a lot of information in there, so it's sometimes difficult to figure out where attention is needed or what actions to take. The Search Unify team was technically astute and had excellent customer focus; they focused on our needs and responded quickly. The AI focus within their product has made a big difference for our user searches. The implementation addressed our specific usecase, including our bilingual environment of sign language and spoken English. Expanding our use of Search Unify to other domains, or other functions will require additional implementation and set up. While this is not a strong negative, it is something to be mindful of. SearchUnify had the answer to our business requirements. The initial meetings were very informative and helpful. The SU team were and continue to be engaged and proactive through every step of initial requirements, testing and moving to production. There are some features that are not available yet, but I hope to see them in a future roadmap. They are not showstoppers, but would greatly enhance the product and SU are fully open to incoporating them. Also, the turnaround for queries and bug fixes is not always as quick as I would like. Adding Content Sources to create a diverse searching "database" has been great and very easy to use. The product is in our Customer Portal applications, allowing customers to search from all the varied platforms product articles and resources are hosted in. I like that additional custom APIs are not needed for a task like this. Search tuning is a powerful tool that I personally have not used enough, but working with Saurav Ganguly to help me maximize SearchUnify's value for my position and mission has been great. Saurav really understands my goals and has ideas on how to get there. I use Search Unify multiple times per use to gather metrics and find search trends that my customers are searching for. SearchUnify Academy has also been a great resource instead of going to Support or Saurav for any of my curiousities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I have found just "okay" with SearchUnify: the historical reporting issues (for example I could not report back sometimes for a full year or compare 2023 to 2024 from the reporting tool--I will have to rely on my manually recorded historical data). As product content grows, its fragmentation becomes an issue for customers to find answers to their product questions. A federated search experience using SearchUnify helps to consolidate data, improve user experience, increase user engagement, and optimize search relevance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Multilingual federated search experience can be inconsistent and mixed as it is dependent on how each content source is configured for multilingual support. Prefer a standard, out-of-the-box implementation for all content sources that aligns with the corporate multilingual strategy to ensure consistency and uniformity in search experience across each portal. I cant think of anything other than there is too much for me to do. Its giving me more work to do since they have so many things we can do to improve our search with their software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- Search Unify Team - from the PM (Deepika) to the Dev team (Sahil/Parveen) to Leadership and Sales (Guarav and Brian) to Mohit as our Account Manager- they are all highly responsive and helping in getting work down at our pace.
- Search Tool - packed with features with upgrades rolling out extending the platform. It's refreshing to see a SaaS company moving fast into AI/ML
- Support Community for Tickets - works well and tickets are prioritized

The experience with the entire team has been fantastic. From initial dealings when we were searching for a tool, contracting, implementation and now rollout. Everyone was transparent, there was no "bait and switch". Each person we've dealt with was genuine and candid in their communication. What we were told we were in for during the sales cycle is what we got from our implementation team. A well laid out plan. When we had questions or requests that perhaps fell out of the "norm", we were never told no, or promised the world. The team was honest and would investigate options and come back with well thought out responses or options.
The application itself has been very helpful in meeting our initial goals (improved search capabilities, one-stop-shop search capabilities, ease of use, LOTS of metrics for analytics). We now have insights into the path our customers take in our help center, what are the exact terms they search, what is the sequence of their search terms proving greater insight into the actual terms they use/what they do vs what we assumed they do. We are still only a couple of months from go live but we will be leveraging this information to improve our content and also work on reframing our own mindset/assumptions.
The Admin Panel is well laid out and easy to navigate. You can really go down a rabbit hole! Some of the features we are most eager about are:
- auto spell corrector/did you mean (something so simple but very helpful for end users to return relevant content)
- Synonyms - two parts here, suggested synonyms makes our lives so much easier vs having to define on our own and being able to create synonyms allows us to capture the terms our customers actually use/understand vs our standard or more technical terms Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Perhaps we are still in the "honeymoon phase" but nothing stands out as a dislike. A few feedback or featur requests that I have yet to submit regarding some oddities noticed when switching to dark mode in the Admin Panel and ability to add commentary to actions on searches with no clicks.
