**What do you like best about Khoros Communities?**

Khoros (aka Lithium) used to be an awesome company. For over 20 years, it was a great product and an industry leader. I really liked the staff, the support services, and the product overall. THIS WAS BEFORE the ACQUISTION. Since the Acquisition they fired all the staff, converted all support and CSM's to AI managed.

**What do you dislike about Khoros Communities?**

They were recently acquired by a company that buys software businesses and then destroys the product and customer relationships. I would caution any company to look elsewhere for its community needs. Do NOT USE THIS VENDOR.

**What problems is Khoros Communities solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It offers an online community environment with forums, blogs, resources, events, ideas, and user groups. The new owner has completelly abandoned the product roadmap. So they are not committed to solving anything for their customers.

Easy, templated pages that are branded with our colors, logos and domain out of the gate and that make our brand look professional, organized and competent.

**What do you dislike about Khoros Communities?**

Newer Aurora platform still has its limitations and experiencing occasional growing pains with some integrations. However, our CSM and account team have been very responsive in connecting us with the internal stakeholders who can improve those experiences and they are taking our feedback seriously.

**What problems is Khoros Communities solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Khoros Communities is where we enable the users of our software platform and allow them to connect with each other and assist with design, programming and implementation questions along with making easily accessible other resources such as help articles, blog posts, webinars, meetups, trainings and certifications.

**What do you like best about Khoros Communities?**

I like how Khoros, and would definitely recommend it to a colleague or friend who is in the same industry as I am, which is Customer Experience. I like how it's easier to connect with customers and understand how the system works, not just for the leadership, but for our employees in general. Even though there is a huge learning curve, it's really great to navigate when you're used to it or done with familiarizing it.

Although the updates are helpful, sudden changes can make some processes glitchy or slow, which can affect the handling time for each customer.

I have used social media management service of khoros being from Marketing background it provides me the feature of scheduling content and monitoring the social media platform which is one of the best features of khoros and apart from that it is very easy to  use and it is user friendly.

As my organization was not so big ,and team has less members so according to me it is liltte bit expensive for a small organization but worth to use the platform

There are many services provided by Khoros but the thing I like the most is that it's allowed us work in a team. From chats to planning to ads campaign, we can manage everything in a team from this single tool. Before it i have to use different applications for different propose and it's quite hard to manage.

Although I hadn't face any major difficulty but I don't like that we can't delete our messages once it send.

**What do you like best about Khoros Communities?**

Users can quickly discover what they need because the profile information is readily available. To provide users with accurate information, there are many ticket closure explanations. its simple to communicate with people and receive prompt responses, which fosters a sense of community.

**What do you dislike about Khoros Communities?**

When you cant change the notes youve put to a ticket, its challenging. When many notes are required for a single ticket, this can result in disorganised and muddled information. To make it clearer for agents, the Notes feature should also be made more visible on the users profile panel.

**What problems is Khoros Communities solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Traditional help centre interactions are no longer necessary thanks to Khoros Communities, which also allows for quick problem solutions. It promotes an interesting online community where users can interact, get quick answers, and form bonds with people who share their interests. This platform is a great option because it offers individualised service and encourages user-to-user interactions.

**What do you like best about Khoros Communities?**

What I like the most about Khoros is the profile information column on the right-hand side. The information is easily laid out and accessible. The various ticket closing reasons make sense as long as your team uses the correct one in each ticket scenario for proper analytics tracking.

**What do you dislike about Khoros Communities?**

One thing I dislike about Khoros is that you're not able to edit notes you add to a ticket after you've submitted them. This can make the ticket look messy and confusing if you have to submit multiple notes on one ticket. I also think the Notes portion could use some improvement. It would be helpful if it were more prominent on the user's profile panel to make it more evident to agents. 

Additionally, the merge function can become messy when multiple tickets are involved. In the user's ticket history, it would make more sense to consolidate them all into one ticket option rather than still having them be broken out separately.

**What problems is Khoros Communities solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Multiple user issues such as refunds, rideable issues, accidents, lost bikes, safety issues, overall platform feedback, technical troubleshooting and account issues. Our scope goes beyond those specific types of cases, but that's a good overview.

We went through an extensive evaluation of Community Platform Vendors, with Vanilla and Khoros making it to the final two selections. Khoros had the vision to get us where we wanted to go with a roadmap to get there. Vanilla at the time seemed to lack providing us a clear vision and the road to getting there. The Khoros team was highly involved and both skilled and very supportive. Since purchase we have successfully deployed our revamped community with great success and they have been there every step along the way to support and guide us. I would highly recommend them!

Nothing thus far; the deployment has been widely successful.

Creating a consistent look and feel across our community has been great. Our previous platform allowed for so much customization between groups and spaces that it was a disjointed experience sometimes for our clients.

We have a TON of groups...2400+ which isn't the norm for a Khoros customer so we are consistently finding it hard to do what were we able to on the old platform. That said, there is a lot of clean-up we need to do which will help and the upcoming release of Aurora will be a gamechanger.

Client collaboration is key for us. Being able to connect our community members with our associates and other clients to ask questions and get answers without going the support route has always been our goal for the platform.

I've always enjoyed the way that good community practices are baked into the system. The Khoros staff understands community deeply. There are many other options out there, including "bolt-on" offerings for big platforms that do a wide variety of functions. But I find the Khoros focus on community (and care) helps us to deliver the best experience.

**What do you dislike about Khoros Communities?**

As one of the most established community platforms, Khoros innovation moves a little slower than some of the newer offerings. However, they have a solid roadmap that they update and share regularly. They are also responsive to feedback. Support tickets sometimes linger; it's important to advocate strongly for fixes that need quick attention.

**What problems is Khoros Communities solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At its core, our community is a support resource for customers. We realize good ROI just by serving answers that would otherwise generate support cases -- more expensive to service. In addition, we use the community as a hub for engagement across all of our user-focused programs. It's not just for break-fix; it's for learning and fun too.

Khoros using old technologies in the community (ex: Angular1.x, JQuery)
Khoros need to improve API response time (ex: we are getting an error if we update multiple metadata)

Administrative tools are not always the most intuitive, and the settings can prove to be complex. This should be resolved with the arrival of the Aurora project.

It is a community of customers and users who exchange information about the brand's products and services. Salaried advisors of the brand can also intervene to respond to individual requests.

They need to run bit of a cleanup into the communities. It is natural though. Since human interaction cannot be easily regularised on an everyday basis, but they can still try!

I like how customizable it is to fit the existing online ecosystem for our customers. It has a solid foundation to add features like a blog, contests, and gamification.

It's cumbersome to manage and reply to posts as a moderator. Thankfully we also got Khoros Care which makes replying and managing the community a breeze. I can't imagine not having that to work the community.

We're able to use the community to keep a pulse on our community base and get a heads up on potential trending issues to address before it escalates. By addressing issues reported by the few in the community, we're helping countless more who may also have had that issue.

There are a lot of features in the Khoros platform, most of the out-of-the-box features are good, but custom features require development and there is a learningcurve in learning about the platform, it is not intuitive without some training.

We are using our community as a marketing tool, we post blog content and teaching resources for our instructors, and we promote our book authors on the community.

Khoros is an excellent platform for running a community. It has all essential features, and it also has an option for customization.

For customization: sometimes it is tricky to retrieve the data. There should be a chain of API calls for getting everything needed, but I agree to pay this "price" for the complete platform.

I like that it feels more like a community, a more modern feel than a '90s forum-type experience, with some elements that are familiar to customers from things like Facebook and other social media platforms.

We use a customized version of it, so our experience may be different, but there are lots of inconsistencies and difficulties that don't make sense. Two users with the same email address? It's always tricky to change or remove one. Things like that.

It's a good platform but make sure it has what you need out of the box.

**What do you like best about Khoros Communities?**

Khoros Communities has a lot of features, more than what you might find though another vendor. 

The platform's Stage/Studio section for content development and asset management is good. It could use some improvement, but it is heads above a lot of other systems that I have experience with. 

Their customer care teams are excellent at handling escalations and making you feel like you are being heard. If you have a problem, they will do their best to help you resolve it.

**What do you dislike about Khoros Communities?**

Khoros support has always been a pain point for us. From delayed response times to the types of replies received while troubleshooting. Without our TAM the support experience would be even more frustrating. 

Engaging with Services is also a little cumbersome. Their process is opaque, and during meetings I get the sense that they are more interested in getting their revenue (telling you what you want to hear) instead of giving you the best solution to your problem. 

There are not really any negatives about the platform itself other than the time to value. Going into implementation, you will need a full grasp on your limitations OOTB, so you know which way to pursue development to get the most value. If you make mistakes there, you will spend a long time trying to resolve.

**Recommendations to others considering Khoros Communities:**

If your team is looking at implementing communities, you are going to need some expert knowledge of website and content management. Fully understand the requirements that you are setting forth, and how fulfilling them falls into existing workflows. If you put in the work, Khoros will meet you more than half-way.

Khoros Communities gives us case deflection through peer to peer support and community sourced knowledge. We are also building out forums for customer advocacy and engagement.

**What do you like best about Khoros Communities?**

Khoros is (as far as I understand) the industry standard in the Community space. There are cheaper options out there, but to leverage them, you'll have to be willing to give up on potential features, flexibility, and integrations that Khoros is ready to provide near-out-of-the box. I would describe the below as the platforms strengths:

1. The flexibility they offer for assigning roles to different types of users is parallel to none. You can give any user almost any permission, that only covers any area of the Community.
2. The ideastations/ideaboards, or forums designed specifically for customers to be able to submit their ideas for the future of a given product and also for product teams to interact directly with customers,
3. They seem to have some of the better localization options out there.
4. They also seem to have some of the strongest analytics capabilities available.

**What do you dislike about Khoros Communities?**

1. Khoros is, as far as I understand, on the pricier side of the options available, which is why it is the enterprise platform and not leveraged as often by smaller communities.
2. There is definitely a steep learning curve to understanding how to use the platform. Khoros offers a lot of resources to help you get off the ground, but you'll still need to create a lot of lift yourself.

At the end of the day, Khoros is a solid platform to build a Community of expert users that answer questions about your products and generate valuable knowledge that prevents the needs for customers to create cases. It has the capability to scale to meet enterprise business needs.

Good enterprise level community platform capable of supporting large scale communities.  Customer Success team has been excellent and responsive as we migrated and have gotten up to speed.

**What do you dislike about Khoros Communities?**

As with any mature platform there is a lot of complexity, particularly in the back end.  We appreciate that Khoros has an active roadmap and is continuing to invest in modernizing and developing the product.

Consider both the community member experience but also the ability of your community managers to efficiently manage the forums, etc.

As a cloud software company, we support a customer to customer support focused community.  Benefits for us have probably included increased sales, adoption and retention.  They have quantitatively included cost deflection and greater user success.

The user interface is very customer friendly. It's also really easy to adjust your search parameters and play with keywords on the fly. One of my favorite elements is the ability to run searches within a profile. The exportable reports make it easy to share information across the organization.

The limited ability to go back in time. It makes it difficult to do year over year comparisons. It would be nice if the 9 month window could be expanded.
