**What do you like best about RingEX?**

What I appreciate most about RingEX is how it seamlessly bridges the gap for international business. It provides a fully functional virtual number with all the essential features—SMS, voicemail, and even fax—that work exactly like a physical line. The AI-powered tools, specifically the automated call recordings and summaries, have been incredibly helpful for staying organized. Beyond the features, the interface is polished and the system reliability is outstanding; I rarely, if ever, encounter downtime or lag. It’s a high-performing tool that offers great value for the price.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

The call forwarding function sometimes didn’t work for some reason; however, I haven’t had any issues with it lately.

**What problems is RingEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a permitting company for motor carriers, we struggled to manually track complex vehicle dimensions and route restrictions that came up during long calls with state agencies and drivers.

We used to have a hard time documenting technical permit details accurately. Now we can rely on RingEX’s AI-generated call summaries and transcripts, which has led to a 100% accuracy rate on our permit applications and a major reduction in costly revisions.

This feature alone saves our team hours of manual note-taking each day, which lets us turn around more permit requests in less time.

I truly appreciate the incredible support from RingEX, which I didn’t expect to be at such a high level. I also value being able to speak with knowledgeable experts whose recommendations genuinely help our team. The integration of RingEX with different programs—CRMs, ERPs, and other platforms—is fantastic; it isn’t just a standalone tool, and it really helps streamline our operations. 

The audio quality during calls is excellent as well. On top of that, the setup was very easy thanks to the thorough training materials, including PDFs and step-by-step guides, which made the transition smooth for our small team. Overall, RingEX is intuitive and very easy to use for both us and our customers, and I rely on it every day for my daily operations.

I really like the brand recognition and the ability to support an international team. That was a big driver for me in making the switch, along with having everything in one place for communication.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

The setup and onboarding process was more challenging than expected, and there have been a few workflow areas that feel less intuitive than I’d like. I’ve had to spend more time than anticipated figuring things out.

**What problems is RingEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s helping centralize communication and bring everything into one place instead of using multiple tools. For me, that supports working with an international team and creates a more streamlined, efficient day-to-day workflow. I can see the value in having a system like this as I continue to build it out and refine how I use it.

I like their advanced package the most. It includes analytics that help me see how customers are interacting in their journeys and allows for searching analytics, which also aids in marketing and special promotions, making things easier overall. I also appreciate the initial setup process being very easy with scheduled implementation. Features like auto attendant, ring groups, and call queues simplify workforce management, and I value having voicemail to email, online fax, and meeting tools included. Using the RingEX mobile app and soft phone helps me take on business outside the office with the same caller ID and phone number as if I'm at my desk.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

Nothing really, they've been great to work with. Great sales support too.

Calling, messaging, video meetings, and faxing are all in the same place, which makes my day so much more efficient. The interface is clean and intuitive, so I can quickly find what I need. I also love the mobility, being able to take calls or join meetings from my desk phone, computer, or mobile app without issues is a huge plus.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

If I had to pick something, it would be that the occasional updates sometimes change the layout or move features around, which takes a bit of adjustment. There are also some calling features we had in our old system that cannot be duplicated with RingEX.

A big problem RingEX solves is reliability. Instead of dealing with traditional phone system issues or juggling separate services, everything runs smoothly in the cloud. The call quality is consistently strong, and administration is straightforward, which saves a lot of time on the IT side.

I really like the advanced call handling, the AI-powered note-taking during calls, and how easy it is to manage everything through the web portal. It's super simple to set up new users, either by inviting them or setting up an account and credentials for them. The powerful API gives you lots of options for connecting to external applications.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

The desktop app takes a lot of memory to run. Setting up multiple tiers and sequences of call handling in the admin portal can be complex.

**What problems is RingEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Messaging has made it really easy for our teams to communicate and share files while working remotely, instead of having to rely on email. Video calls also allow our technicians to get support in the field from personnel back at the office. On top of that, SMS messaging and faxing help us keep communication consolidated in one app, rather than having it scattered across multiple apps and services.

I really appreciate the flexibility of RingEX, allowing me to do more than just send calls. I can easily send an SMS to clients who aren't responsive over the phone, which is incredibly useful. I also like how RingEX enables us to effectively communicate both internally and externally and helps in setting up internal texts and reaching out to clients to set up meetings. Additionally, the setup was extremely easy, almost effortless, as everything was handled in the backend without any effort on my part. Finally, the system feels very seamless, and the usability stands out for me.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

Perhaps making changes to how the communications pop out with a pop-up window instead of just a glimpse sound. A pop-up would be really helpful.

I love RingEX because I use it for outgoing calls, video meetings, and internal communication. It keeps communication in one place without needing multiple apps and allows us to do video conference calls every Monday and Friday, as well as other quicker meetings. The ease of use and its ability to do multiple things are great since it's not a platform that's a one-trick pony. It effectively brings my team together, especially with features like creating tasks, keeping each other accountable, scheduling meetings, and scheduling calls all from one place. The initial setup was extremely easy, and support was helpful via email and calls. All nine users at my company use it.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

The interface could possibly be improved; it could be a bit more modern.

**What do you like best about RingEX?**

I love how user-friendly RingEX is. You don't really have to know anything about the program to jump in and use it pretty quickly and effectively. It's user-friendly even for our customer service people, making it easy to transfer calls and handle all that fun stuff. Also, it's great that we can send faxes straight from our computer without needing a physical fax. The ability to act as a virtual assistant after hours is something we love, as it solves manpower issues. I also appreciate the call log feature, which helps with customer service as we can easily reach out to customers who haven't left complete information. There are lots of methods to contact people via RingEX, which I like too. Overall, it's been great for our operations.

The flexibility from devices to assigning numbers make onboarding (and offboarding) easy. The support responds quickly and fixes each issue effortlessly without jumping through complicated hoops. It integrates seamlessly with my CRM and the interface is easy to understand. It performs well from browser to softphone then to desk phone. All at an affordable price per user without complicated contracts. AI has made it even more effective in capturing everything for compliance.

Sometimes assigning and reassigning numbers requires extra steps by placing them into inventory before moving a number to an existing user.

Complete data capturing makes compliance a breeze. Making sure we have meticulous notes is critical to client care.

One area that could be improved is the spam call filtering. At times, it isn’t as effective as expected, and some unwanted calls still get through. Improving this feature would make the overall experience even better.

**What do you like best about RingEX?**

I use RingEX for internal communication in the workspace and communicating with outside people. As a Maintenance Coordinator for a Property Management company, it's a lot of use for calling vendors, tenants, owners, and other office spaces. I really appreciate the space to save drafts, keep records of calls with AI notes, and expedite communication. The AI notes and transcript features are fantastic because they can summarize the calls in a way that's easy for other people to understand complex ongoing situations, even if the communication is informal. They do a great job of understanding the context. These features provide context and save a lot of time by summarizing the key components of a situation for further follow-up. The initial setup was pretty easy, and I don't recall having major setbacks.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

The only issue I've encountered so far is that when I first started using the AI notes, it was configured in Spanish and I couldn't correct it. It resulted in hangups and mistrust but I had it fixed when I called technical support. The only downside is that I couldn't fix it by myself. 
And sometimes text messages don't get delivered.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

Lack of upfront transparency around SMS/10DLC eligibility, combined with incorrect guidance across multiple departments during setup. We clearly explained our business model and use case prior to signing, but were not informed of any potential limitations. After onboarding, we were told our business was categorically disallowed for 10DLC and that there was no viable path forward.

After getting no meaningful assistance, we made adjustments ourselves and were able to successfully obtain approval, directly contradicting the information provided by RingCentral.

Once approved, we then discovered that the functionality we originally needed, a shared SMS inbox, requires an additional paid add-on per user, which was not clearly disclosed during the sales process.

Support has also been inconsistent. We have had to follow up multiple times to receive responses, including from our assigned account representative, and have submitted technical questions that went unanswered.

When attempting to escalate the issue and discuss options for resolving or exiting the contract, one representative provided a non-functional scheduling link and another had availability several weeks out. Follow-up emails went unanswered.

Overall, the experience has been defined by incorrect guidance, lack of transparency, and difficulty getting timely support when issues arise.

I like RingEX because it's easy to use, user-friendly, and not complicated. This makes it really accessible for me and my team. I can use it on my phone, which is great for last-minute work tasks. It gives me easy access to team communication while keeping my personal messages private, a feature I appreciate a lot. The initial setup was pretty easy too, even though it was a bit expensive for just one user, the setup process itself was seamless.

I think that setting up text messaging, at least in California, is a little bit complicated. And, I wish there was a little bit more guidance on how to set it up, with, you know, the customer service or our rep. Rather than having to, you know, have a specific IT person can set it up. I think that's the only thing that, hasn't been the best.

This integration helps us by performing a data dip into Salesforce to identify if an incoming call is from a current client, existing lead, or a brand new lead, and then it routes the call appropriately. The initial setup was pretty easy too.

The texting feature is absolutely horrible. It doesn't work regularly and texts send super late or arrive super late. Also, the reporting could be better. It would be best if we didn't have to pay for the RSI subscription to get this deep of reporting. RingEX should just have this available on its interface.

I like the feature of being able to answer calls from anywhere as long as we're signed in on our cell phones. It keeps our personal information safe when calling customers. I also appreciate seeing who's available, who's offline, and who's on a call. I like the simplicity of the HUD extension review. I enjoy the text messages, the easiness of the voicemails, and the HUD. The ability to mask my call and transfer calls to our technicians in the field, along with the capability to treat calls easily from desk to desk, are beneficial.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

Definitely the onboarding. The onboarding was very confusing and I was misinformed about how the extensions, licenses, and porting worked. I was told to port out all my numbers when I really didn't need to, which was a big pain. Customer service was not sympathetic when I hadn't been able to use the product for three months and was still being billed. It took speaking to a manager to get some kind of compensation. Learning the product was also challenging as it has more features than I'm used to. Setting up the phones was difficult, and I had to keep calling support. It's confusing trying to figure out how the product works with other platforms like Google Chat and ServiceTitan.

I like that RingEX lets me see who's available, streamline call transfers, mask my call, and manage voicemails easily. The text messaging is great, but I wish voicemails could be sent to more users.

I love the flexibility and forward-thinking that RingEX provides, especially with the implementation of their new AI features that benefit our business and make the jobs of our associates easier. We appreciate the use of the AI receptionist, which is helping us direct callers more effectively to users who can assist them with their specific needs. The ability to access cloud services is another aspect I like about RingEX. We are also excited about demoing the new AVA product to see how it can further benefit our users.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

Reporting is one aspect that needs to be explored. We utilize a large number of call queues and reporting is very limited. For example, we need better reporting on time to abandon in queues, when users are logged into the queue to accept calls and where calls were ended...by the caller or the user. Importing the phone numbers from previous carriers was the hardest part for us with nearly 1000 associates at the time. Each user had both a local DID and toll free number assigned to them, not including all the other phone numbers for hunt groups or as RingEX refers to them now, call queues.

I use RingEX for voice, SMS, and meetings to enhance communication for over 1300 associates. It supports remote and office work with desktop and mobile access, while keeping us compliant in healthcare. AI features streamline operations, making work easier for the team.

**What do you like best about RingEX?**

I really appreciate all the features that RingEx provides. I especially enjoy using Air, although I think its booking features could use some improvement.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

While RingCentral offers robust features and functionality, my experience as a solo business owner has revealed several areas for improvement in both onboarding support and platform flexibility.

Onboarding and Account Management

As an online business setup, I was not assigned an account manager and received no proactive outreach during the critical implementation phase. When I initiated contact for assistance, the support representatives provided inconsistent information and failed to follow through on commitments. This left me navigating the platform setup independently with numerous unresolved questions. A dedicated onboarding specialist who actively engages new customers would significantly improve the initial experience rather than relying solely on self service resources like Ring University.

Feature Limitations for Solo Entrepreneurs

The platform's architecture appears optimized for team environments, which creates inefficiencies for single user businesses. Many features remain unutilized in my current configuration, representing unnecessary overhead for a solo operation.

Most critically, RingCentral's handling of multiple phone numbers presents a significant operational challenge. My previous platform allowed a single user account to manage two distinct numbers (toll free and local) for separate business entities, with full SMS/MMS capabilities and clear customer identification for each line. This functionality enabled appropriate auto responses and maintained clear business separation without requiring additional user licenses.

RingCentral's current structure requires separate user accounts for this same functionality, effectively doubling my operational costs a substantial burden for small business budgets.

Feature Parity Request

As a RingEX Ultra user, I would greatly benefit from access to the omnichannel capabilities currently exclusive to the CX platform. The ability to engage customers seamlessly across multiple communication channels would enhance customer experience and streamline operations, even for smaller businesses. This feature integration would provide significant value without requiring a full platform migration.

Recommendations for Improvement

*Implement true multi-site/multi-number functionality within single user accounts
*Develop a structured onboarding program with dedicated specialists for new customers
*Update and maintain help documentation to align with current platform features and eliminate broken links
*Consider creating a tier specifically designed for solo entrepreneurs with appropriate feature sets and pricing

While RingCentral's core technology is solid, addressing these gaps would make it a more viable solution for the growing segment of solo business owners and micro-enterprises.

**What problems is RingEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The AI Receptionist makes it possible to receive calls directly through the app. This feature has streamlined my communication and made it much more convenient to handle incoming calls.

I appreciate that RingEX is a single and scalable system. The seamless integration option for our development team is really valuable, especially since we've integrated the fax system feature with our CRM system. This means orders can be directly faxed from the CRM without needing to print them out separately. The initial setup was seamless too, with our phones connected and working without any issues.

The cost is a little bit higher, but it’s worth having.

I like RingEX for its usability. I'm able to use it across many different pathways with my employees so they can accomplish tasks given to them and communicate with our clients efficiently every time. It's an all-in-one system that centralizes all communication platforms into one space with calls, text, and alerts, making it really seamless and works well. Also, the help and guidance from the team during the setup were excellent, allowing us to establish everything correctly the first time.

It would be nice to be able to access the admin portal without having to open another web page.

The variety of technology that can access the RingEx services.  Makes it easy to sell to end-users as they get to use what they think is best for them.

Nothing at this point.  Setup was supported by the professional services.  The service itself has had no issues.

**What problems is RingEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our old system, a self hosted VoIP system was no longer serviceable to bring it up on security standards.  It was time for it to go.  Costs to upgrade were high, but moving to RingEx made the service costs a lateral move keeping out monthly expenditures the same.  Additionally, the old system didn't have features that RingEx brought to our table.  After hour calls and emergency service calls have become a team effort, not a single person voicemail box.

I like RingEX for its ease of use, which caters to both technical and non-technical audiences. The initial setup was straightforward; we managed to set up basic call flows and all users in just a few days of testing. RingEX has become our primary business system with about 60 users overall, and I would rate it a 10 out of 10 for recommendation.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

The only issue we ever had was in detailed reporting but this was available when using a different RingCentral product.

We switched to RingEX to fix stability issues with our previous system. It's easy for both technical and non-technical users, and setting it up took just a few days.

RingEX is a simple platform that is easy to learn and easy to teach my coworkers how to use.

Call quality has been solidly good since launch.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

RingEX is a good product. However, our outbound calls are STILL being marked as potential spam. We are not making robocalls, or mass calls of any kind. Calls to our consistent customer base are being marked as spam. RC has been very unhelpful in resolving this issue. It is incredibly frustrating and would make it unlikely for me to recommend RingEX.

**What problems is RingEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our customers depend on us being available by phone. RingEX helps us fufill that need.
