Looking across the Log Monitoring category on G2 from the business-impact angle, the real-user-monitoring capability these tools share, tying a technical event directly to a business metric like checkout conversion, solves the translation problem specifically, but the post's closing question about whether leadership actually sees the tie-in points at something the tool itself can't fix. A dashboard that correlates a slow endpoint with lost revenue is only as useful as whether someone regularly routes that correlation to a non-engineering audience, since these tools tend to surface the connection in engineering-facing views by default.

Reviewers describing this correlation as working well are almost always engineers themselves, so the review base speaks confidently to the technical capability that exists but says much less about whether it changed how leadership actually prioritizes engineering work.

The gap between the tool making the connection possible and the connection actually reaching a business audience is probably a reporting and communication practice more than a product feature, which is worth separating from the tool evaluation itself.
