Shared responsibility for supporting the environment system with OCMS (Oracle Cloud Managed Services) is helpful when dealing with hard to track down issues. It can take some time to get the necessary resource to troubleshoot but at least we're not alone as we don not have a development resource for the application. Support services for cloud environment is confusing to navigate. Depending on your issue or request, you will need to know which support area to assign your request. In many cases your issue or request will be reassigned to the correct group or sometimes even told to open up a case with the correct group. This can be frustrating and time consuming. I like the ease of use and the user-friendliness. I really don't have to consult any manuals and can find my way around without too little help. Everyone at work seems to like it too. As a programmer, I am used to applications that are difficult to handle. However, this is not difficult at all. I use this extensively at work. In addition, the program is very well liked by my co-workers in addition to myself since it's been the most versatile program I've used so far. I love the level of detail available in PeopleSoft - you can drill down really as far as possible. I also love the ability to attach supporting documents at so many stages throughout the process (Vendor setup, invoicing, journal entries, etc.). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I dislike the overall "feel" of the interface, and the technical language used/displayed throughout. For example, when you look for a certain report to run, you have to know the exact report name, which is usually something ridiculous like "GBL_GL_HFM_YTD_UPLOAD_IC_NEW." It is really hard to tell what a certain report will actually return; you resort to a tedious game of "trial and error." It's also somewhat annoying that when a user creates their own unique report, they're not able to share "Private" documents with other users. They have to contact IT department and ask it to be shared, which means most users don't bother to share reports they've built that could be very useful to others. PeopleSoft provides a training/test environment for new users to learn their job skills before stepping into production. I have found the screens I use on a daily basis to be easy to follow. The information I search for in PeopleSoft is easy to interpret because of how the screens are laid out.

Even though I find it easy to read the screens I use on a daily basis, it can be a challenge to recall where everything is located. It took several weeks to learn the hidden navigation channels. Even now after 5 months, there are pathways that take me a while to think through when trying to answer a student's question. I liked that requesting time off and seeing balances for PTO and weekly hours were easily accessible. I also liked that we could check out work schedules without being on a work computer. Being able to update availability and benefits was also a plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It was difficult to change availability for myself and other employees. It would often result in employees not showing up for scheduled shifts due to them thinking that their availability had been updated properly. The system would also time out very quickly. People soft is a great tool that allows a business to search through applicants that may or may not be a great fit. It gives all the necessary Information to look into the background of the candidate without giving too much personal information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This particular app is very sensitive when typing in particular things into the system. One would have to make sure that they are typing in the name exactly how it spelled otherwise it will not find it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
