It stores a multitude of data fields relevant to HR records management and you can report on any of the data (anything that goes in, can come out via reporting). It may be more appealing to small/mid-size companies due to price, yet it's important to note that it requires quite a bit of internal HRIS and IT support to maintain and customize after implementation. **What do you dislike about Oracle PeopleSoft?** Oracle PeopleSoft reporting is not always intuitive. Our HR team members often had to rely on HRIS team members to assist, which is not efficient. It is also lacking GUI, which I think would make the application more user friendly and appealing to non-HR business managers asked to use the application for self-service. **What problems is Oracle PeopleSoft solving and how is that benefiting you?** I used Oracle PeopleSoft to store employee records and begin transitioning business leaders to a self-service model. I have found the screens I use on a daily basis to be easy to follow. The information I search for in PeopleSoft is easy to interpret because of how the screens are laid out. When I work with Student Accounting and input student payments, I find this to be a simple process. **What do you dislike about Oracle PeopleSoft?** Even though I find it easy to read the screens I use on a daily basis, it can be a challenge to recall where everything is located. It took several weeks to learn the hidden navigation channels. Even now after 5 months, there are pathways that take me a while to think through when trying to answer a student's question. When entering hours into the timesheet from a mobile phone it can be glitchy. When the system has issues it usually does not impact the candidates applying, and it more troublesome for the internal user. **What do you dislike about Oracle PeopleSoft?** PeopleSoft does not appear to have been designed as an ATS. Out of the box the ATS provides very limited service, and has had to be heavily customized to meet the needs of recruiters, compensation, finance, and our managers. The process flows of position creation is not intuitive either. Tracking of references and on-boarding steps are not tracked in the system, and this has become a standard characteristic of modern applicant tracking systems. Lastly, PeopleSoft is not mobile friend and this is a huge hit in today's market. **Recommendations to others considering Oracle PeopleSoft:** Much more advanced products out there, but these may in fact be more expensive at the same time.
