This is the part of the project we have traditionally struggled with, never knowing when a project should really be ending, not knowing duration. Since we adopted Moovila, our project management has been spot on. We are able to during our Kick off call with our customer, show them the logic behind the project flow, show them what our estimated dates are, and if everything is good, book the dates on that call. Tying Tasks (ConnectWise Tickets) based off Tech skill level helps ensure that I'm picking the correct engineer for the task, and that we are keeping project margins looking the best. Louis made the Moovila implementation a breeze, and so far the entire Moovila support team has provided top notch customer support. The More we have been using Moovila, the better our projects have executed. **What do you dislike about Moovila?** Moovila has some work to do with PSA integration to pull PSA contract information and email out of the PSA from Moovilla. That would keep me entirely in Moovilla vs swapping between applications. **What problems is Moovila solving and how is that benefiting you?** Project Management and ensuring consistent PMing of a project. I myself an the main Project Manager, but I also do 80% of the project work. Before Moovila, none of the Project Management work was getting done, as I was too focused on getting the work done. The AI-driven risk detection actively monitors dependencies and flags potential delays before they become problems. For us that’s a game-changer for operations where timing and accountability is everything. With that said, onboarding wasn’t exactly plug-and-play. There’s a learning curve, Large if you aren’t familiar with these types of tools or if the person using it technical, And while the visual interface is clean, some of the export options—like JPEG-only reports—don’t always meet our documentation needs. Still, Moovila’s customer support has been excellent. They’re responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in our success. It feels more like a partnership than a vendor relationship. The software has a number of features and is easy to use. Additionally, the integration with Connectwise is really nice because you can automatically create tickets for your techs to be assigned. **What do you dislike about Moovila?** The implementation takes some time because there are so many features. This is understandable because if you want a dynamic product it's going to take time setting up. **What problems is Moovila solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is our primary tool for creating projects and onboarding MSP clients. Still, it has been substantially beneficial for data tracking using the Resource Capacity Analysis and template tracking of task time. One of the most potent aspects of Moovila is the critical path feature, and we, as an organization, are working through the bottlenecks in our processes to use that feature. Attempting to use the critical path feature helped us be aware of those bottlenecks. Resource Capacity Analysis has allowed the PMO and department managers to make a case for more resources and more scoped project time. It has given us better visibility of the profitability of projects. **What do you dislike about Moovila?** Being an early adopter of Halo integrated Moovila has resulted in some poor experiences, but they were to be expected. The implementation experience was clean and fun. The support for Moovila has been excellent. The biggest headaches I had with Moovila were a result of the Halo>Moovila sync breaking, and frankly, I don't know if the root cause of that is on Halo's side or Moovila's. I do wish there were some ease of use features implemented in the near future, such as the ability to directly paste a screenshot into a notes section, or to generate a link to a task and paste it into an email or Teams chat. I also want subtasks (aka steps) to be more customizable with the ability to add descriptions and whatnot. Nesting phases can work like that, but the phases' hours are not tracked like tasks. These features are all quality-of-life things. Overall, Moovila is a significant step up from our previous workflow. **What problems is Moovila solving and how is that benefiting you?** Moovila has vastly improved our ability to communicate the current state of projects, as well as forecast our ability to deliver on future projects. ### 8. With features such as Critical Path Analysis and Smart Scheduling, the platform enhances project management for MSPs to a level that was previously not possible. We now have a greater understanding of where projects are at, can identify tasks that will potentially cause project creep and can manage project budgets effectively. The onboarding process with the Moovila team was fantastic, they assisted us every step of the way, including the integration with our PSA as well as in-depth one-on-one training on how to use the platform. **What do you dislike about Moovila?** From our perspective there is only one downside to Moovila, and that would be price. We believe Moovila is priced fairly, considering it's features, ongoing development, improvements and updates, and amazing support. However, for small MSPs trying to better improve their project management, who may only have a single Project Manager and a small technical team, Moovila may be too costly to add to their product stack. **What problems is Moovila solving and how is that benefiting you?** Moovila has comletely changed the way we manage projects. We now have far greater oversight of our project portfolio, how projects are tracking against the proposed timelines, and are able to schedule project work far more efficiently than we previously were able to. ### 9. The onboarding process is the most important piece of implementing Moovila, and while it requires cleanup and work, it's probably what was already needing done. They're great at breaking it down into bite-size chunks and explaining value. They were also hugely supportive in our PSA migration from ConnectWise to Halo for projects! **What do you dislike about Moovila?** Moovila has been working hard to develop updates and new features, and though they're worthwhile, they seem to spend most of their time on integrations with ConnectWise. Those on other platforms such as Halo get the updates later. I suspect this is due to the other platforms not being as mature has CW. **What problems is Moovila solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest improvement we've had implementing Moovila is in being able to better project timelines to start a project, as well as the deployment timeline. We were having trouble visualizing engineer capacity, and Moovila gave us the tools we needed to accurately provide needed timelines to our client success team and clients. ### 10. What we didn't realize is how much help we'd need with Project Management as a concept. Our onboarding advisor Jared has been amazing. Not only does he know his software but he's also got the experience to back it up. He was very patient with us, advising that this would be a journey. Because of some personnel issues on our side, we've actually struggled to properly onboard the product. We've corrected those now and the ever-patient folks at Moovila are starting over - per our request - with onboarding so we can truly get the most out of it. Jared answers questions and offers advice via email or phone call as needed. **What do you dislike about Moovila?** It's not cheap but you get what you pay for...with Moovila, you're getting people behind the product. Also, initially the interface with ConnectWise Manage wasn't great. Moovila allows us to sync bidirectionally with our PSA to maintain the old mantra of if its not in Connectwise it didnt happen. It gives us the ability to do resource planning based on resource type, set milestones, and review/adjust our project pricing based on the templates applied using template analytics. **What do you dislike about Moovila?** Sometimes the sync between Connectwise and Moovila doesnt perform as expected. **What problems is Moovila solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have all of our project templates created in Moovila. We have over 10 templates. We run all of our client onboardings and projects out of Moovila with a bidirectional sync to Connectwise. We use the template analytics engine to review those templates to see if we are estimating high or low on our projects from a pricing perspective and adjust future pricing based on those averages. We use it for capacity planning, which is something Connectwise doesnt do well. We can tell exactly how many hours each engineer has, how many hours of engineer time we need to consume, and we can identify where we have capacity to bring in new projects easily. ### 13. Over the years, I've often looked for products that will sit on top of ConnectWise and provide a better project management platform that what is natively offered. Most products require duplicating of effort and data and are cumbersome to manage due to that. Moovila is unique due to leverage CW as the datasource - making it so you only need to make changes in one spot for it to sync to CW or to Moovila. Any issue has been quickly resovled via support - everyone on the customer support side has been knowledgeable. And finally, it's being actively developed and new features are being added on a regular basis. **What do you dislike about Moovila?** The interface is a little clunky and could use some tweaks to be more user friendly. The best is how we can have leaders and project managers plan and manage projects in Moovila, but the integration with PSAs (we use HaloPSA) really helps sync all the project work into a common tool the team uses everyday. They use this to view project tickets assigned to them, prioritize activities, and track time. **What do you dislike about Moovila?** There is a lot to the system in terms of capabilities, so it is a journey to use more and more of the system as we go. We have made some good progress, but it can be overwhelming. The good news is that our onboarding is designed to be with us over time as well. Also, the ability to customize fields and colors and add timeline data elements would be helpful. **What problems is Moovila solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our PMO has been working on establishing trust throughout the organization. The PMO needs to deliver on our plans and communicate any discrepancies to our stakeholders to build this trust. Moovila is helping us do just that. ### 45. It allows the user to run and work on a computer located elsewhere as if it were right in front the whole time. Moovila allows highly organized remote management and is reliable in its approach and functionality. It Can be used to securely access several computers and can connect remotely with colleagues. **What do you dislike about Moovila?** Moovila work very efficiently if the remote user has the same or compatible version. For some time, I had to insist that my remote users have the same version if the version is not same than sharing of data is impossible. The nature of certain programs does not allow remote use. For example, some clients use Kaspersky. If they need us to do some checks or settings on it, it's not possible. Kaspersky cannot be accessed remotely. But this is not a flaw of Moovila. Some of its features need to be update for work smoothly. **What problems is Moovila solving and how is that benefiting you?** Moovila is an operating system agnostic. One of the best feature that I loved most is that Moovila has a native Linux implementation remotely which means I can provide support remotely from any of my computers and even my phone or tablet. Some features I really like Moovila doesn't get hung when opening larger applications.
