"Excellent RDBMS"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

Integration of other monitoring software like fog light is very easy without time consumption. Great capability to handle all complex queries requirements. Suite of advance sql functions. Provide all excellent functionalities like Reporting Services, Integration Services, Job Scheduler, Resource manager, Query analyser and Profiler etc. Each of these modules are build perfectly and handles the tasks effectively. Configurable at each level. User permission is at every objects and other higher levels. Changes can be done for specific privileges at user level. Window service based Control to the server for starting and stopping the service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

Scalability is great but not the best like other new Database there in the market. CPU memory consumption is always more than normal on production specifically by the sql server. Scope of improvement in profiler for most frequently used options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One of the Best ETL Tools for SMBs"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

The top point that comes to my mind about SQL Server Integration Services is that it is a part of the SQL Server Data Tools which can be downloaded for free as mentioned here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/ssdt/download-sql-server-data-tools-ssdt?view=sql-server-2017

+ I was able to download the SQL Server Data Tools for Free, and connect to our SQL Server Enterprise Edition and we never had to worry about the extra cost for buying an ETL Tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

I don't actually dislike anything in the tool in itself. However, as I've read in many online blogs, many of the ETL jobs break in SQL Server Integration Services when the datasets that we deal with are too large in size. I faced a similar issue during my graduate degree when I was using SSDT to connect to a remote server on a University of Cincinatti server. The jobs break from time to time but I felt most of the times, this was caused due to server disconnection. So, I cannot vouch for any cons of the Integration Services at least now.
