"Why we use it."
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

It's wide compatibility with many vendor's solutions. I can setup one SQL server and host multiple app DB's on it. In the past, each vendor would have it's own version of SQL or some type of proprietary DB. By using SQL, we can be compatible with all different sorts of vendors out there, and many of them are switching to SQL from Microsoft. So just makes things easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

Some of the interface is a little clunky and not very intuitive. Especially around the user list for access. Also, the Database names are just numbers and letters and do not reflect what I'm actually working with. Also, I would prefer a more web based interface look, which is in line with many different applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Database Management Solution"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

The software is very handy to work with and it took very less time to understand this software and get used to it. I have used this software for creating stored procedures, functions, views, database schema. OLAP queries have significant performance compared to other. It supports memory-optimized tables. Built-in JSON support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

It is for mid-complex systems. For ERP based systems, IoT use-cases users go for No SQL products. Another challenge is for globally distributed database solutions there's a challenge especially Mirroring of data, synchronization, concurrency. Performance Tuning of the large database would take time and core specialized training and experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
