"SQL is the industry standard when it comes to relational databases."
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

The main thing I like about Microsoft SQL is that it just works. The system is mature, familiar, and there are no surprises. Sometimes the simplest approach to a problem is to build a simple relational table structure as opposed to trying to force relational data into a NoSQL document model. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

There are few surprises when it comes to working with MS SQL. Many times a relational approach to data models can lead to large systems that are overly complicated when compared to their NoSQL counterparts. One weak point with MS SQL is it lags behind some of the more modern language features provided by PostgreSQL and also doesn't have the benefits of being open source. Unlike some of the more modern options it seems more difficult to take advantage of auto-scaling with MS SQL Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
