For me, my use of understanding SQL and cracking the efficiency of learning how relational databases are put together and used happened only after I began using SSMS and began to understand and see the data structure dependencies that were exposed to me in my use of SSMS. It's not so much a dislike as just being a dose of reality. A SQL database is an extremely powerful thing, as such there is much to learn about it and how to most effectively manage the database itself. Really diving in and getting a deep understanding of all the tools and features can be a pretty daunting task. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
