# Looking for Easier Alternative to VMware HCI – Suggestions?

We’ve been using VMware vSAN as part of our HCI setup, but honestly it feels like overkill for our needs. We’re a small IT team and need something more manageable that doesn’t require deep VMware expertise just to keep the lights on. Looking for something simpler to deploy and maintain—ideally something that just works out of the box and doesn’t tie us down to a bunch of other tools or subscriptions. Anyone here made the switch to a more lightweight HCI solution? What did you go with, and how’s it been?
