"Powerful and intuitive database management system"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

the most powerful and complete Microsoft database manager. Easily integrable into .NET programming projects. It allows for large relational databases, stored procedures, views... It is a very complete solution for both small and large developments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

I don't think it has negative points in the many aspects in which we use it within the organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unless you are massive, this is the way to go"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

It is easy to implement and has a huge install base with corresponding online support and help sites. The user interface is fairly slim and very functional. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

Configuration is a little tricky, but not bad. Obviously it is designed for SQL Server. If you are using Oracle, then Toad is probably more appropriate. The download file is large. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Microsoft SQL Review"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

Microsoft SQl is great for small school projects to small-time businesses to huge multi-million business applications. It is useful to store, modify, delete data within a matter of minutes. After storing this data, searching for it is probably the simplest, amongst all its other competitors. It is also great when multiple applications are asynchronously accessing this data. Security permissions are great in Microsoft SQL. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

Installation is a little cumbersome, and also ends up consuming a lot of RAM. Also, I feel UI can be improved to give more useful messages to the SQL operator. Also, I feel performance is hampered slightly for huge tables. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"SQL: It's quick and easy"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

SLQ 2012R2 is what I have been using and makes my life really easy to run queries on database to analyze complex data.Easy to build your own query to fetch any sort of data. Quick response and capable of pulling large data from the database. You can keep creating and running queries and would be able to run only the one which is highlighted which gives you a capability to store your queries on the same screen. You can even run queries to update entries in your database and the confirmation of the success can be easily observed in the bottom part of the screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

The interface should be more user friendly and built in a way to to predict formulas like MS Excel. The user interface should be more easy to read interactive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Microsoft SQL Server"
What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

Microsoft SQL Server client software seems to be the easiest software available for creating complex SQL Queries visually. I love its drag and drop capability for linking tables and views and for creating stored procedures for automatic code execution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

The only problems I have with it is that it take a lot of system RAM to operate and it's a little slow with remote database connections. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
