
MangoApps is a very handy platform when it comes to collaborating with teammates. I have been using MangoApps for over a year now and it has supplemented my work immensely. It is easy to use, navigate and has a simple user interface. The subtle color scheme makes the overall intranet environment quite amiable. MangoApps has helped me stage, store and structure files that are now accessible throughout the organization. Furthermore, sending updates across the organization has kept me connected to my peers, especially in times of remote work. The directory feature helps me to connect with individuals across my organization. One particular thing that I do not like about MangoApps is the user interface. I believe it can be polished further to make it more intuitive. To be candid, it looks old-school. Rounded edges and some degree of interactivity will surely bump up it's usability. Since it is intranet that harbors so many employees from a particular organization, it should consist of elements which facilitate employees to stay logged in and use this platform to its full potential. The ability to receive notifications on your smart phone for when you may be away from your workstation. It also integrates to your smartwatch so you don't always have to have your phone or laptop near you to still be aware of what's happening at work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When using a filtered tracker and updating a row of information. When you click save either the row you were working on or a different row will disappear, causing you to have to refresh the tracker and re-sort. MangoApps is highly customizable (almost excessively so!), so you can really build the space however you want. It's primary use is for internal facing intranet purposes, and most of the examples our customer support specialist showed us were related to that use case, but I was able to turn it into a collaboration space for a multi-year, cross-organizational project with relative ease. They also do a fantastic job applying branding to the space, and their tech support team is incredibly responsive, effective and friendly. It's also the best value I found across the market of similar competitors offering the same services (file sharing, calendar management, online collaboration and social functions), and their sales department is really fantastic to work with. On the tech side, I really liked the privacy/permission settings, it made it very easy to customize views and protect certain documents. If you are hoping to use the space with external partners who don't have an O365 license, as of right now, I don't think Mango is a good option for file collaboration and co-editing documents. On the Admin side, be prepared for an absolute maze of options in the Admin portal, the tradeoff for having so much customization is losing some of that ease of navigation you find w/ Basecamp or similar options. Additionally, I think success with the platform really depends on the Customer Success Manager you are assigned. Our first manager was pretty horrible, but as soon as we were paired with a competent person, I experienced a total 180 in my use of the platform and the resolution of issues I'd previously been told were "unsolvable." I have nothing but great things to say about my experience of using the platform with the right support team, so definitely don't be afraid to request a reassignment if you're not satisfied with the customer service you're receiving! I think the Active directory integration could use a little work. Currently you cannot use AD groups for security access to pages on Mango apps. You have to manually give permissions to each user that needs access to a page in the system. That makes for a lot of extra time when adding users to each page. Mango apps is a great tool for our company to relay communication. Its a very effective tool for us to be in constant contact with our team, a place to house important information, send out updates, do polls, and many many other things.
