Constant pricing changes and more complex backend that has a poor ui/ux. **What problems is Joan solving and how is that benefiting you?** Since I am a small business, they have priced me out of using it because they no longer support small businesses. ### 2. Great concept, simple interface, easy to use but hardware lacking **Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2020 **What do you like best about Joan?** Ease of use once set up Simple and clear interface Amazing technical support **What do you dislike about Joan?** Hardware is not up to par, cost is steep and easy to break. **Recommendations to others considering Joan:** Good interface and decent product. However hardware is very fragile. wish there's a more secure mounting solution. Also this product does not work while charging which is a bummer if you want to mount it and forget it. Too much maintenance in terms of getting the unit charged un-mounting/re-mounting. I would recommend an iPad + apps to do the same thing. **What problems is Joan solving and how is that benefiting you?** Room booking basics. Allow visible schedule of conference rooms booking and time schedule. **Official Response from Tiilen Keegl:** > Hi there! Thank you for your time and feedback. We highly appreciate feedback from our customers since we believe it is the only way to really make a great product. We are also happy to see you like our interface, the ease of use of our devices as well as our support team. With that said, we have noticed that some of the comments you posted are in fact incorrect or are maybe just a consequence of missing information . We would be happy to address them bellow: 1. Fragility Both devices Joan 6 and Joan 13 are very robust and in the case of Joan 6, built with materials that do not break easily. Of course, the devices are not indestructible and without the proper handling subjects to damage. If this is the case with the product you use, please reach out to our support team who will check and help you out further. 2. Secure mounting In case you have many outside visitors or would just like to secure the device to the wall, you can do this with our secure wall mount product, which can be easily attained at our web-store (www.getjoan.com). Both, for Joan 6 and Joan 13 devices. With the secure wall mount, the devices are fixed to the wall and very hard to remove. The secure wall mount is not included in every offer because most of our customers love the default magnetic mount option, since it does not require drilling, wiring or any other type of expensive installation. 3. Working while charging Both Joan 6 and Joan 13 can handle booking on the spot and display the meeting room status while charging. Since most of our customers choose the cordless approach, the charging screen is intended as a convenient way to observe the charging progress. Devices can be individually or globally configured to charge while mounted and in-use. Completely up to you. We are sure our support team will be happy to help and set it up for you if you reach out to them. 4. Maintenance mounting / re-mounting If you’re going for the magnetic mount then the mounting and remounting of the device takes less than 5 seconds. Recommending an Ipad + apps The issue with Ipads and other tablets is that they were not engineered for a meeting room booking use case. To be more specific, they were not designed to mount easily on any surface, the hardware is not meant to work 24/7 non stop and the battery depletes very, very quickly. As a consequence this requires you to draw cables to each and every unit. On the other hand, our purpose built E-ink devices mount to any surface, do not require cables and have a battery life of up to 3 months. If you already have iPads/tablets laying around, the other option is to go with our Joan on Tablets product, which turns any tablet into a meeting room booking solution.
