## JAMS Reviews
  ### 1. JAMS is our most important automation solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrian C. | OPS Supervisor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2023

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

JAMS is easy to use. In our line of work, date ranges and due times can vary greatly, and its ability to understand natural-language expressions and convert them into valid date values has resolved an enormous number of issues for us.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

Recently, I’ve been trying to use the dashboards and reports available in JAMS, but I’m finding them difficult to understand and navigate. I did locate a guide, yet it quickly stopped matching what I could actually see in JAMS, which made it hard to follow and apply.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We produce and deliver a wide range of customer data extracts to our clients and third parties. For years, all of these reports were created manually, until JAMS came into the picture. Since then, we’ve used the scheduler to automate those processes, as well as to transfer information to customers, connect to remote servers, validate the quality of the information, and send notifications when something goes wrong.

**Official Response from Louis Diaz:**

> Thanks for your feedback. Considering your experience with the tool, I would like to connect you with our product team to dive deeper. If you are open to it, please send an email to this address - productmanager@fortra.com

  ### 2. Saved us from hiring a full-time automation engineer for gems website

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deepak P. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

Running a growing gemstone business means we have tons of daily background tasks, like updating our live inventory and syncing orders. We used the JAMS Resident Engineer service to help us build out these automated jobs. I love that we could just bring in their expert for a few hours a month to work right alongside us. They knew exactly how to set things up fast, so my team didn't have to spend weeks learning the software from scratch.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

It is a bit frustrating that the monthly support hours do not roll over. If we buy the basic 40-hour plan but only use half of it because we are busy dealing with a big jewelry sale, we just lose that paid time. For a smaller business, having flexible hours that carry over to the next month would be much better.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gave us expert help exactly when we needed it to get our backend running smoothly. It saves us from having to hire a full-time automation engineer, which lets us focus on sourcing and selling gems instead of fixing server errors.

  ### 3. Efficient Task Scheduling and Automation with an Easy, User-Friendly Interface

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Konjengbam M. | BDR, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

I love this platform for its capability to scheduling of task efficiently. Its capability to automate workload improves the productivity of the organization. Monitoring can also be easily done in this platform which enables us to identify the progress of task and also look after the redundant task. The workflow of the task can be check easily in this platform from time to time. Frankly saying jobs can be easily launched which is really a good feature of this platform. Other than this Jobs can also be manually created, edited and submitted in this platform enhancing the functionality of this platform. The Audit trails can also be generated with a single click, this greatly enhance the accountability of this platform. One part which I felt that I should mention is that this platform allows creating mini apps for users with less technical experience, this allows to reduce complexity and improve performance while using this platform. This platform can also integrate with major other platform like SAP, IBM etc. I also have to admit that this platform have a user friendly interface and the onboarding process was easy too.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

I love most part of this platform but I wish that that desktop application could work more flawlessly without any lag. I felt the lag mostly when I clicked the configuration tab. The platform can also be used more efficiently with some training given a little complexity for non technical users. Other than this I also feel that more work can be done to give a better user interface. An Active AI to actively assist user in the dashboard would really be helpful. The pricing of this platform may be made more moderate to better fit for small and medium enterprise.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform allows managing of workloads related to loan by creating a process right from application to disbursement. Its Audit log assist a lot i fixing accountability which ensures more security to the task done. Tracking of various accounts and identifying the statuses or prioritizing task is also possible with this platform.

  ### 4. JAMS Feels Like a Virtual Secretary with Powerful Cross-Platform Scheduling

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Louie G. | Lead Systems Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

The highest praise I’ve received came from one of my clients, who told me he had called earlier and left a message with my secretary. I don’t have a secretary, but he didn’t notice the difference, which says a lot about JAMS. I really appreciate JAMS’s cross-platform capabilities for scheduling tasks and managing complex workflows, and it fits smoothly into the way I work.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

I have nothing negative to say about JAMS; its performance has been truly incredible. It provided me with a personalized, comprehensive solution that covered all my needs, and it also gave us an approach we can adjust and modify as we continue using the service.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JAMS is exactly what we needed, and it integrates seamlessly with our existing systems. Since we started using this platform, we’ve been able to capture all of our leads so far. It has also helped reduce downtime and cleared up our doubts, so we can feel more confident that tasks will run as scheduled and in the correct order.

  ### 5. Intuitive Platform with Granular Restarts for Better Control and Flexibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richano H. | Lead Systems Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

The platform is very intuitive, which makes both implementation and migration straightforward. It gives me better visibility, control, and flexibility when managing complex programming tasks. I also appreciate that the restart options are granular enough that I don’t have to rerun the entire nightly process if only a single branch fails.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

I have nothing bad to say about it. It perfectly suits our needs and helps us streamline repetitive tasks like data processing, report generation, and system integrations, while also reducing the risk of errors that can come with doing the same work over and over.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it as an indispensable tool. Before, we spent more time checking whether agents were active than actually improving our automation. JAMS pushed me to stop thinking in terms of “servers” and start thinking in terms of “process flow,” which has been a real shift in how I approach the work.

  ### 6. Solid Airflow Alternative with Straightforward Reporting and End-to-End Automation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Asha H. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

It’s a solid alternative to the Airflow systems on the market. I like the straightforward reporting approach, and it’s easy to use for both technical and non-technical employees. I also appreciate that the whole process is automated within the system—from job activation to record generation, as well as managing dependent jobs.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

The implementation was fairly straightforward, and the graphical workflow visualization makes it easy for both technical and business users to follow and monitor complex processes. I don’t need to contact customer support often, but when I do, they respond quickly.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It handles complex dependencies very well, and once you get familiar with its structure, managing tasks becomes quite straightforward. It does exactly what it’s meant to do. Its strong scalability lets us run more workflows at the same time, and it has helped us significantly reduce our workload as well as our staffing needs.

  ### 7. Flexible, Stable Task Scheduling with Fast, Helpful Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cristiaan D. | Senior Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

JAMS is a comprehensive task-scheduling tool that has been very useful for our IT services team. Its flexibility supports a wide range of use cases for us, which makes it easy to adapt to different needs. I also appreciate how straightforward the data access is: we can run SQL queries to manage it easily, and the table structure is clear, easy to understand, and readily accessible.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

We are very satisfied with the JAMS product and the team overall. I honestly have nothing negative to say—the product is very stable, and the customer support team responds quickly when issues come up and provides helpful assistance.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having the JAMS task scheduler manage and monitor our jobs is, to date, the best solution we’ve found for batch processing when working across multiple servers. In addition to conditional task execution, we also rely on it for workflow orchestration in more complex processes, where one task can watch others and then either continue the main process or stop it when needed.

  ### 8. It stopped our SAP batch jobs from crashing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gina F. | Integration Solutions Architect, Building Materials, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

JAMS is excellent for complex and cross-platform job scheduling. For instance, when it comes to SQL Server Agent jobs, it can be used seamlessly and without conflict with PowerShell scripts or third-party applications. The dependency mapping is a lifesaver: If a downstream task fails due to an upstream task that has failed, JAMS gracefully stops the task and alerts you of the problems instead of letting the errors propagate.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

The licensing scheme is not always clear, some advanced functions need to be purchased as extra modules.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before we had to use a number of patchy batch files and Windows Task Scheduler, and we were missing runs and also running processes at the same time. Now, jobs are automatically triggered based on the dependencies and failures are caught instantly. No longer having to log into several servers to see status with the centralized dashboard. We've reduced manual intervention by 80%, and reduced the amount of firefighting done late.

  ### 9. Our business users love JAMS self-service portal for securely running their own reports

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gaye O. | Enterprise Automation Engineer, Import and Export, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

I do value its thorough cross platform job orchestration features. JAMS Enterprise Job Scheduler enables us to administer intricate workflows across Windows, Linux and even cloud services through one console. The fact that it has a very powerful dependency management is a massive plus; e.g. it will ensure that our critical ETL processes only run after all upstream data feeds are verified. This center of control and visibility simplifies our whole operation.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

The first learning curve is what I dislike most of all since it may be very steep among new users attempting to define complex workflows. Although it is powerful, certain parts of the user interface seem a bit older and could use a more modern and intuitive user interface. Also scaling the licensing model to meet the unanticipated growth at times needs careful negotiation to ensure that it does not go overboard.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This software has eliminated our dependency entirely on in disparate, manually maintained scripts and fragmented scheduler. In the past, we were always in constant trouble shooting missed jobs on different servers resulting in slowness in reporting and operational headaches. JAMS is now bringing all our processes of the enterprise through an automated, auditable system. We receive automated notifications of any failures and we have peace of mind and our IT team can concentrate on innovation and not on babysitting the batch jobs.

  ### 10. It's reliable management of automated workflows across systems

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ricardo M. | Infrastructure Support Analyst, Semiconductors, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

The biggest benefit I see is increased reliability of regular system operations. It eliminated doubts about when tasks would be executed and ensured the jobs are run in the right order. There are many features to control scheduling and handle exceptions. There's also been good support when we had questions. The greatest improvement has been reduced downtime and greater certainty jobs will run as scheduled.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

My main concern is that working with large numbers of scheduled jobs can be more of a chore due to the amount of configuration. The inclusion of features is a plus but can make basic configuration more complex. This has sometimes resulted in more time spent changing operational processes and more time spent during peak times.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JAMS Enterprise Job Scheduler overcomes reliability issues in process automation and minimises the need for manual intervention. It makes work better by controlling the order of task execution and avoiding mistakes. The feature set allows for good control of scheduling and execution. And support has assisted with configuration problems. The result has been greater reliability and fewer system workflow issues.

  ### 11. Intuitive Cross-Platform Scheduling That Streamlines Complex Workflows

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danique D. | Mechanical Design Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

I really like JAMS’ cross-platform capabilities for robust task scheduling and managing complex workflows. It’s straightforward to set up and feels intuitive, even for non-technical users. It has proven very useful for our IT services team. I also appreciate how it helps reduce downtime; we can now be more confident that tasks will run as scheduled.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

JAMS is exactly what we needed, and it integrates seamlessly with our existing systems. Its features also let me build reliable workflows that reduce manual effort and keep our processes running smoothly.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we started using this platform, it has helped me keep our operations consistent and made day-to-day management much simpler. From a single user interface, we can easily handle Windows tasks along with Linux scripts and our custom applications.

  ### 12. Customizable and Efficient but Requires Technical Setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nygo C. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

I appreciate the customizable features of JAMS, which enable me to create a workspace for data management and file transfer by integrating my applications. It is easy to configure on Windows systems and, in some cases, on Linux. The integration capabilities of JAMS allow it to connect various platforms for data management, monitoring, and data exchange, providing a single workspace for convenient access to all information.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

There are some things you can't do when you are not a developer/IT specialist. It doesn't give you that chance to do them. It requires some coding skills, like Python, for certain tasks. Also, the setup is too complex and needs technical skills.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JAMS helps me collect information and data from different resources and platforms, provides quick links for client access, and allows me to manage all my files in one place.

  ### 13. Better reliability in scheduled process workflows

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcin K. | IT infrastructure specialist, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

I personally prefer JAMS Enterprise Job Scheduler as it enables me to schedule operations in an organized manner. I am able to place various kinds of tasks like database activities and script executions in a managed sequence. The feature set enables me to create trustworthy workflows that minimize manual work. It also integrates well with our current systems and this makes me maintain consistency in operations and it is easier to manage on day to day basis.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

The thing that I find to be problematic is the effort that may be needed to get scheduled processes in place. The set of features is powerful, yet it may cause configuration to be cumbersome and sluggish. This affects my workflow since I will take an additional amount of time ensuring that everything is in place. Even minor adjustments can be longer than anticipated when there is a need to change anything.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The JAMS Enterprise Job Scheduler will address the issue of untrustworthy and manually initiated processes at my workplace. Most tasks would need to be manually initiated before usage and this would occasionally result in delays or job loss. It is all now spent in a systematic order, and this enhances uniformity. This will be advantageous to me since it will save me manual work and make operations more reliable.

  ### 14. Our complex, interdependent batch jobs finally run flawlessly

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pola N. | Technical operations analyst, Financial Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

I greatly like the cross-platform ability of JAMS Enterprise Job Scheduler to schedule jobs robustly. It can manage windows tasks as well as Linux scripts and custom applications very easily through one user interface. The dependency management is an amazing capability; we can easily connect several jobs such as an ETL process to a reporting task and there is the right sequence of execution.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

Initial configuration and installation may be somewhat difficult; it certainly has a high learning curve. Although it works, the user interface is sometimes a bit outdated and may be cooled down with a more modern touch to enhance navigation. In addition, developing more customized reports may involve accessing certain queries instead of providing a more graphical builder.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our fragmented and manual job scheduling in our various infrastructure used to battle us resulting in frequent delays and missed processes. Previously, our group used to waste hours in manually monitoring batch jobs and also re-initiating failed data transfers. Today, it has all been automated in the form of JAMS. We receive instant notifications of any failures and in many cases, automated recovery measures are used to address problems without human intervention.

  ### 15. Minimal Setup, Vast Workflow Options, and Excellent Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Burcu S. | Application Security Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

I love that it takes very little initial code to register a flow, along with subflows and subtasks, yet the options are still vast. Once you grasp the basics—flows, tasks, workgroups, workers, and implementation—everything becomes very straightforward.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

Its performance has been truly impressive, and it has adapted perfectly to our needs, enabling us to build smooth, seamless workflows. On top of that, it comes with an excellent technical support team and a fantastic, very active community.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JAMS lets us develop remotely and collaboratively in an organized, straightforward way. It really simplifies an engineer’s life by bringing key capabilities together: UI-based programming, parameterization, flow visualization, detailed logging, exception handling, notifications, webhooks, containerization with easy deployments, and solid support for concurrency.

  ### 16. Seamless SAP/SQL/AWS Automation with Flexible, Event-Driven Triggers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Feras A. | Product Marketing Supervisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

I like that it connects SAP, SQL, AWS, and local scripts without requiring me to build complex integrations from scratch. I also appreciate that it doesn’t only run tasks on a fixed schedule—we can trigger a process immediately when a file is modified or when another database is successfully updated.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

JAMS automates repetitive and tedious tasks, allowing us to focus on more innovative, higher-value projects. It also facilitates compliance with safety regulations.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we started using JAMS, we’ve avoided the expense of hiring additional staff just to monitor overnight processes or handle early-morning file transfers. On top of that, its high-availability architecture gives us automatic backup systems, helping ensure that critical business operations keep running even if a server fails.

  ### 17. Essential Tool with Rapid Support for SQL Maintenance

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dona B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

I use JAMS daily to run SQL Server database maintenance jobs and scripts that support the college. It standardizes our SQL Server maintenance and puts it in one place, so all IT personnel can use and reference it. I like how simple and fast the tech support is. The documentation is easy to reach and solves many problems. When I can't solve an issue using the documentation, opening a JAMS ticket is easy, and the response is very quick, usually within minutes, even if it's not a problem I mark as critical. It's simple to place a tech support call by opening a ticket online.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

Maybe upgrading our JAMS version would be a walkthrough I'd like to see. Conversion help with that. We are at JAMS 7.x but the guy who used to upgrade JAMS retired.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JAMS standardizes SQL Server maintenance, centralizing processes for easy access by all IT staff. Fast, simple tech support and accessible documentation resolve issues quickly, even for non-critical problems.

  ### 18. Detailed Reports and Powerful Automation for Batch Task Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tony R. | Application Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

Detailed reports are one of the standout features of this tool, and I also appreciate being able to manually optimize the infrastructure when needed. It provides strong automation for detecting and resolving issues, and it keeps me informed about which tasks I have scheduled. I especially like managing groups of tasks in batches, with jobs running as independent processes.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

It would be great to be able to set up a notification entry. I’d also like a more detailed error log, since it would make it easier to understand what went wrong. The screen layout could be more compact as well.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes life easier for all stakeholders by helping us build an extended network. We’ve optimized our use of available resources and rely on it for a wide range of tasks. It also lets me manage scheduled tasks smoothly; this plugin is reliable and consistently gets the job done.

  ### 19. It has strong control over automated workflows in complex environments

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jan M. | Database systems administrator, Computer Networking, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

I primarily like JAMS because it predicts my workload in a very predictable manner. I have integrated it with our ERP and file transfer operations, and therefore operations are performed at the appropriate time without wasting time. It was not a complicated implementation process, and when implemented, it became a part of my daily routine. The features are helpful in assigning conditions to jobs, and this comes in handy with the provision of product changes and product to product inventory synchronization.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

The thing that annoys me most is that it may take a long time to determine the cause of the failure of a job. The information on the error is not always as simple, and that affects my work process when I require a quick solution to the problem.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The most significant issue that JAMS has addressed in my case is that I have to manually schedule recurring tasks. I was used to doing updates and scripts by myself and this usually resulted in delays. Those processes are now scheduled and run to schedule. This has enhanced my working conditions since I am able to concentrate on other more vital things.

  ### 20. Flexible, Stable Scheduling with Fast, Helpful Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phil B. | LEAD Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

This is a very flexible tool and extremely useful for our IT services team. I appreciate that tasks can be scheduled to run repeatedly (for example, hourly) or just once, depending on what we need. Data access is also straightforward; in our case, we run SQL queries for easier management. The table structure is easy to understand and readily accessible.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

I haven’t had any issues or problems. We’re very satisfied with the JAMS product and the team overall. The product has been very stable, and the customer service team responds quickly when problems come up, helping us with whatever we need in a timely manner.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’ve found that this product’s flexibility supports a broad range of use cases. Our team has used JAMS extensively to manage a variety of task processes across different servers and operating systems, and it has worked well for coordinating those workflows in a consistent way.

  ### 21. Dependable execution of database updates file transfers and reports

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nico P. | Data Operations Analyst, Security and Investigations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

The most significant advantage of JAMS Enterprise Job Scheduler is that it renders routine operational processes reliable and less liable to errors. I often use it to plan the activities such as moving files, replenishing databases, and producing reports. The features list give me the ability to establish task order, automatic retries and alert in the event of problems.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

A weakness that I have observed JAMS Enterprise Job Scheduler to have is that it takes a lot of time and planning to set up jobs with various dependencies that run across multiple systems. The use is on a daily basis, therefore, minor setup errors will cause temporary disruption of the working processes.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The greatest advantage of JAMS Enterprise Job Scheduler is that it enhances reliability and predictability of all the IT processes. We are often dealing with jobs that cut across applications and are now able to be handled manually. The tool supports scheduled automatically, dependency, and failure notifications. Due to this, the team is able to concentrate on strategic initiatives, work completed in due time and operational mistakes are minimized by a significant margin, which improves general efficiency.

  ### 22. Flexible, Affordable Orchestration That Makes Workflow Automation Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sabrina B. | System Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

I like how easy it is to set up a flow, use the UI’s orchestration features, and test and debug when a flow fails. I also appreciate how straightforward it is to turn almost any code into a functional, automated workflow. Overall, it feels truly flexible—not just in how execution agents can be deployed, but also in how the code itself can be structured.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

I have nothing negative to say, it is one of the most affordable and effective orchestration tools on the market. It features excellent processing capabilities that adapt perfectly to our needs and works excellently for all teams.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’ve found that JAMS supports a wide range of use cases. We use it for workflow orchestration in more complex processes, where a single task can monitor other tasks and then either continue the main process or interrupt it when needed.

  ### 23. User-Friendly Visual Interface That Eliminates Repetitive Workflows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aubert A. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

I appreciate the visual interface, the notification management, the report generation, and the constantly evolving web interface. It’s user-friendly and makes it easy even for non-technical users to carry out tasks across multiple systems with just a few clicks.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

All of our departments use this tool, and it isn’t limited to the IT sector. I honestly have nothing negative to say about it; it has helped us eliminate repetitive workflows by recording the method we use to carry out each task.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we started using this platform, we’ve saved thousands of dollars in labor hours by freeing up highly paid, skilled technicians from routine tasks. It has also increased the level of automation across our company’s processes, which reduces the likelihood of delivering poor service to our users while improving the accuracy and efficiency of our work.

  ### 24. Managing scheduled tasks in multi system environments is now super simple for our team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor G. | Workflow Designer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

The best thing about JAMS Enterprise Job Scheduler is that it will allow me to control which background processes will run in our finance and ERP systems. I work as an IT operations lead and use it on a daily basis to coordinate SQL jobs, PowerShell scripts and file transfers that have to do with our accounting platform. The implementation was organized, and it can integrate itself with Windows Server and our ERP database.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

The biggest difficulty has been the cost of licensing as we increased the use in different departments. With the increased number of teams seeking automated jobs we were forced to reexamine our subscription level which influenced budgetary deliberations. Moreover, structural revision is a process that should be well-tested, as a minor modification in one of the job chains may affect a chain of other processes. Internal changes are even slowed by that kind of caution.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JAMS addresses the issue of disjointed and manual execution of tasks. My team previously used windows Task Scheduler and custom scripts that could not be easily monitored. All repetitive jobs are now systematized to a single system and this minimizes human error. It helps us by saving us time that would have been wasted checking the processes that take place overnight and doing a manual restart on the failed processes.

  ### 25. Jam’s Modern Interface and 24/7 Support Deliver Real Peace of Mind

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcos C. | Programmer Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

Showing customers you care is essential to a business’s success, and having Jam available 24/7 to provide peace of mind can lead to great results. I also appreciate its modern interface and the graphical workflow visualization, which make it easy for both technical and business users to monitor and understand complex processes.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

I have nothing negative to say. It has worked excellently, and the service overall has been outstanding. My experience with the team that manages the calls has been very positive, and so far they’ve captured all of our potential clients.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have complete confidence in the JAM system. It has helped us maintain our exceptional service by making it easy to track calls and schedule appointments that we otherwise might not have been able to manage, or that could have ended up being delayed.

  ### 26. Powerful Automation and Centralized Workflow Management for Smooth, SLA-Ready Scheduling

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elian P. | System Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

What I like most is its powerful automation and centralized workflow management, which simplify dependencies for complex tasks and help ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs). I also value its advanced scheduling capabilities, including event-based triggers, which keep workflows running smoothly without manual intervention.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

It significantly reduces manual effort, improves accuracy, and saves time, making it a reliable tool for managing complex data and business workflows.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It simplifies planning for complex tasks. It lets me schedule, monitor, and manage work across multiple systems from a single interface, which streamlines operations and makes everything easier to handle and more efficient overall.

  ### 27. Simple, Flexible Scheduling with Smooth Integrations for Monitoring Hundreds of Jobs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheyla P. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

Its simple, user-friendly interface makes it easy to access, and I really appreciate the flexibility in scheduling. It integrates smoothly with multiple systems and provides a range of services for executing tasks. Overall, it stands out as a top-notch tool for monitoring tasks, and it can handle hundreds of jobs without any issues.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

It would be great if the interface displayed more error details, because it sometimes malfunctions and it’s not always clear what went wrong. Also, there aren’t enough training videos available.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It simplifies task scheduling across different platforms and makes it easier to manage processes for all of our products. It helps optimize systems throughout our company and provides a strong solution for handling complex workflows. Overall, it supports the organization in maintaining a smooth, consistent workflow.

  ### 28. It improves our team workflow consistency

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jorge A. | Batch processing specialist, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

What I like most about JAMS is that it makes our recurring IT activities predictable and reliable. I have set it to execute SQL updates, system backups and SAP batch jobs automatically. The process of being missed or incomplete has been done away with in the daily use. Its dependency capabilities, retries, and notices provide the IT team with an opportunity to work on more value projects without the worry of usual failures.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

The thing that unpleases me is that drawing out multi step job sequences in multiple systems may be exhausting. During rollout, planning and testing dependencies were very big. JAMS has daily critical operations, and so, small errors may spread across various jobs within a short time. The interface of the error investigation can be enhanced because at times, it is necessary to read through the numerous logs and procedures to detect the reason behind the failures.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my case, JAMS provides the solution mostly to the problem of having predictable and reliable workflows. Computerized execution of jobs through embedded retries and notifications prevents the failure or wrong execution of tasks. We apply it on a daily basis, which enhances the organization of IT employees, decreases the risk of disrupted operations, and provides co-workers with assurance that they do not violate the processes that are carried out automatically.

**Official Response from Peter Hegland:**

> Hi Jorge - Thank you so much for taking time to leave us a review and for being a loyal JAMS customer! Glad JAMS has been helpful to you with SQL and SAP jobs. Can you please reach out to me about the troubleshooting / log review process you run through? We are looking to add an AI feature to assist with this kind of troubleshooting and I'd really appreciate your thoughts. My email is peter.hegland@jamssoftware.com and I am the CEO of JAMS.

If you would ever like to discuss anything JAMS related (good or bad :)) please reach out!

  ### 29. A solution that automates repetitive processes effectively

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mauricio N. | Data Processing Coordinator, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

The aspect that draws my attention towards JAMS is that it makes it accountable over all scheduled jobs. Every task has a clear indication on who initiated it, the time it should be run and whether it has been successfully run or not. This openness also facilitates the team to track down on failures and to remain consistent. The used frequency has enhanced confidence that all processes are correctly performed according to the expectation and minimized the probability of missed or neglected tasks involving a number of systems.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

The first weakness is that it can be difficult to coordinate dependencies among numerous jobs. In case there are several tasks which cannot be achieved until other tasks are completed, planning is needed to ensure that arrangements are set in the right order. The fact that it is something that the team uses on a daily basis means that minor errors in configuration sometimes cause additional troubleshooting efforts and short term workflow slackage.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JAMS in my case is a solution to the issue of poor process management and dispersion. The jobs are scheduled automatically, dependencies are imposed and error notifications are transparent. The efficiency of the operational process, reduced interruptions and the ability to perform proactive work instead of constantly responding to manual errors or missed workflows have been enhanced by using it every day.

  ### 30. JAMS Scheduler’s GUI Makes Monitoring, Scheduling, and Job History Effortless

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc W. | IBM i System Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

The GUI interface is a strength of the JAMS Scheduler. It's very monitor what is running or switch to see what the projected schedule is or even the history of the jobs that have ran. The Definitions shortcut allows for easy organization of the jobs that may run for different systems and/or environments.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

The Reporting feature hasn’t been easy for us to use. We have a developer who created a custom PowerShell script to pull scheduled information from JAMS into a CSV for us, in a format that we find useful.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's allowing us to use one Scheduler to run jobs in different time zones. We didn't have that option before.

**Official Response from Peter Hegland:**

> Hi Marc - Thank you so much for being a loyal JAMS customer and taking the time to leave us a review! Very happy to hear that the monitor view, projected schedule and job history features have been of use to you. Agreed - reporting can be improved. We expect to make that better in our new web client coming out in June. It's available now in beta if you would like to test it. I will reach out to you re: how we can make reporting better.

  ### 31. Managing batch jobs and dependencies is now super simple

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paolo M. | Process Orchestration Lead, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

The best part about JAMS Enterprise Job Scheduler is that all background activities are maintained by this system as reliable and predictable. I daily use it to automate any process that requires files to be transferred, database to be updated, and batch scripts to be executed and dependencies are ensured that they are executed in the proper sequence without me checking on a regular basis. The time management attributes allow avoiding any conflicts and minimizing errors, which makes the daily job processes easier and allows me to have peace of mind during the rush time.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

What I do not like is that the setup of the advanced job dependencies is at times lengthy. When there is a change in workflows or they require modification, additional efforts may be incurred to change all things properly. It has affected the time schedule of projects on numerous occasions as manual checks were needed to make sure that jobs were executed in the correct sequence. The fact that these are small inconveniences and frequent leads to the fact that they can accumulate and slack down productivity with tight deadlines.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JAMS addresses the issue of monitoring and managing various automated functions in various systems. Our previous process involved time wastage in manual jobs startup and error checking. Processes are now consistent and notifications assist us to solve problems fast. This has minimized the errors, made the daily activities more dependable and enabled my colleagues and me to concentrate on work that is of high value rather than spending much time on problem solving.

**Official Response from Peter Hegland:**

> Hi Paolo - Thank you so much for taking time to leave us a review and for being a loyal JAMS customer! Glad you have gotten value out of JAMS given it provides you with the visibility and reliability of job execution. I'd like to speak with you more about what you dislike about JAMS. Would you be willing to chat with me for 30 mins and do a short demo? I get the gist, but I want to be sure I have a clear picture of the issues so we can fix them. My email is peter.hegland@jamssoftware.com. I am the CEO of JAMS.

  ### 32. Versatile, High-Performance Automation Across Systems

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mourad A. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

I find its performance excellent. It lets me carry out multiple actions with a single click, such as activating or deactivating triggers or running updates. I also appreciate its versatility and flexibility, since it works across a range of systems.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

I have nothing negative to say, it perfectly suits our needs and works incredibly well. Furthermore, the application handles a high volume of operations, ensuring that all critical functions are well supported.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I primarily use this platform for scheduling, monitoring, and creating workflows, and I find it incredible. The software has greatly simplified task planning and management at our company. It has also radically transformed how we coordinate our ETL workflows, making the overall process much smoother and more organized.

  ### 33. JAMS significantly improves operational consistency

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Walter L. | Digital Transformation Lead, Program Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

Of interest to me about JAMS is that it minimizes risk in the process of coordination of operational tasks. Scripts and jobs have conflicts or need constant focus to prevent mistakes before use. I can now trust processes to run as expected because of its functionality of scheduling dependencies and automatic recovery. Its frequent use has not only enhanced reliability, but also made the cooperation between the IT and the business teams stronger since everybody is able to trust the products and can concentrate on interpretation and follow-up but not on execution.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

The thing that I do not like about JAMS is how much attention is required to correctly establish workflow dependencies and recovery processes. When a step is wrongly configured, an automated task may fail silently or result in more work being done. At initial implementation, this made my team work additional effort as we had to keep on checking that jobs were executing well, thus increasing onboarding of the system and we needed to continue to make adjustments to avoid mistakes.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JAMS assists in the automation of workflows that were once to be managed manually several times. Scheduling ETL tasks, batch processes, and any other routine tasks that were recurrent was a time consuming and error prone task. Daily processes are now operating easily and errors are identified early enough with such features as automatic recovery and detailed notifications. The common usage has enhanced efficiency among the team, reliability of the output, and enabled us to work on the overall workflow rather than be preoccupied with management of the tasks.

**Official Response from Peter Hegland:**

> Hi Walter -

Thanks so very much for being a loyal JAMS customer and taking the time to leave us a review! Glad to know that JAMS has helped a lot across your IT and business teams. Can you please reach out to me at peter.hegland@jamssoftware.com to discuss the configuration of your workflow dependencies and recovery processes? I want to be sure I fully understand and then work together to find a good solution.

  ### 34. Robust Monitoring and Intuitive Setup That Streamline Complex Workflows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rasmus T. | Project Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

I really like its robust monitoring features, which make it easier to schedule even complex tasks. The intuitive setup helps streamline my processes and supports reliable task dependencies. I also appreciate how it automates and manages different workflows, which has noticeably improved my efficiency.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

Due to the platform's large number of features, it can be somewhat confusing at first, as some elements function differently. It would be beneficial if the software allowed for more precise customization.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralized scheduling lets me manage all my workflows in one place and anticipate issues by keeping operations predictable. It also helps me clearly understand how different systems depend on one another, so I can easily set up and manage dependencies for more complex tasks.

  ### 35. Just working with JAMS scheduler

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2024

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

working good so far, I liked the support team response, they are very helpful.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

alot, they are .net centric. have to more generic and update the UI with current trends...

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Able to automate for running scheduled batch jobs. which is a huge lift for our company.

**Official Response from Peter Hegland:**

> Hi! Thanks so much for leaving us a review and for being a loyal JAMS customer! Glad JAMS has helped you run your scheduled batch jobs and that the monitor feature is working well! ### 36. Streamlined Automation Across PowerShell, Bash, and Python with JAMS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Apiso J. | Software Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

I like JAMS because it allows me to create, manage, and maintain automation scripts in PowerShell, Bash, and Python. It helps me streamline routine tasks, stay organized, and improve overall operational efficiency.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

JAMS is a bit complex to use, and its customer support can be somewhat slow to respond.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JAMS reduces the need for a large workforce to manage and operate the system effectively, which in turn helps lower overall operational costs.

  ### 37. Powerful Automation, But UI Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mich O.

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2025

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

I find JAMS incredibly beneficial for automating and orchestrating tasks, providing us with a centralized location for all our automations, which significantly enhances our organizational capabilities. The API offered by JAMS is particularly handy, facilitating the integration of custom utilities, and is instrumental in automating auditing requests by providing detailed insights into job statuses, particularly in identifying failures. Moreover, the API setup process, along with the desktop client setup, is straightforward, enhancing its usability. I also appreciate the high-quality Postman documentation, which aids in utilizing these features efficiently.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

The user interface of JAMS is really bad and can be ambiguous, especially with dates and schedule times. It feels like an entry-level Java GUI project rather than a professional tool. I believe that a cleaner menu design would significantly improve the experience, such as hiding less important options from top-level interfaces to access only when needed, rather than every time the app is used.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use JAMS for task automation and orchestration, centralizing our automations and enhancing visibility. The API facilitates auditing, making it valuable for job management. It organizes tasks efficiently, replacing Crontab with a more comprehensive solution.

**Official Response from Peter Hegland:**

> Hi Mich - thanks so much for being a loyal JAMS customer and for taking the time to leave us a review. I'm happy that JAMS has been of value to you for centralization and the use of our API. Have you checked out our new web UI in beta? It's a completely refreshed web application (React based) and is much cleaner. Please reach out to me if you'd like to try it out. If you would like to ever discuss anything JAMS related please reach out to me at peter.hegland@jamssoftware.com. I am the CEO of JAMS.

  ### 38. Effortless Job Management and Reliable Monitoring with JAMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shakib H. | Systems Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2025

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

JAMS simplifies the process of running and managing jobs across all our servers. Having everything visible in one place is especially helpful during busy periods. Setting up triggers based on time or specific events is straightforward, which means we don't have to create additional scripts. The logs are clear and consistently reliable, so when issues arise, I can quickly understand what happened without wasting time.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

Some of the error messages are a bit complex, so it took trial and error to figure out what the job actually needs. The initial setup for certain integrations took longer than expected

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before JAMS, we had jobs running in different places and most of them were manual. After JAMS, we schedule everything and get alerts if something went off. It keeps our daily and weekly tasks on track and removes a lot of stress from our team. It’s is a very dependable tool which helps us stay organized.

**Official Response from Peter Hegland:**

> Hi Shakib - thanks so much for being a loyal JAMS customer and for leaving us a review! I'm glad to hear that JAMS has helped with centralization and monitoring of all your jobs across your environment. Regarding error messages, we are workshopping a new AI feature in 2026 that might help make this much easier. ### 39. Seamless Data Integration, Needs Direct BI Connections

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** umesh k.

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

I like using JAMS because we can use multiple sources of data, and it offers multiple integrations. It's good for preparing and pulling data from any BI tools like Snowflake, quota, and MicroStrategy, and then sharing the data easily with users via shared drives or SharePoint. This feature makes it really helpful for our team.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

I don't like that JAMS doesn't let you make a direct connection from Tableau and Power BI without using complex Python queries. It would be easier for users if this was possible.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use JAMS for scheduling jobs efficiently across multiple data sources. It integrates data from various tools like Snowflake and MicroStrategy, allowing data sharing with users via SharePoint or shared drives.

**Official Response from Peter Hegland:**

> Hi Umesh -

Thank you so very much for being a loyal JAMS customer and taking the time to leave us a review! I'm glad JAMS has been of great use to you. Could you please reach out to me at peter.hegland@jamssoftware.com to talk about Tableau and PowerBI? ### 40. Excellent Support and Feature-Rich Solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shubham m. | Senior Systems Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

Jams has a great support team that acts fast. And software has a lot of features which will accommodate most of our needs.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

Some of the bugs which are found and reported take a long time to fix, and we need to wait for the next major release in some cases. Also upgrade to the next major version is a very bumpy ride.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a complex workflow that needs very diverse software, which Jams handles very well.

**Official Response from Peter Hegland:**

> Hi Shubham -

Thank you so very much for taking the time to leave us a review and for being a loyal JAMS customer! I'm glad JAMS has been of value to you and that our support is a great resource. ### 41. One stop shop for what's running

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2019

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

One feature I appreciate is the ability to view the history of jobs that have run across all environments. This makes it much easier to track and review past executions. Regarding SSIS, previously, when SSIS packages were scheduled as SQL Agent jobs, checking the job history would simply redirect us to the SSISDB Catalog. With SSISDirect, however, we now receive the log as part of the notification, and if the log is too large, we can conveniently access the execution log directly in the JAMS Desktop. Another aspect I find useful is the maintenance window. Once all jobs have been migrated to JAMS, you only need to set the maintenance window once, and you can be confident that no jobs will run until the window is lifted.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

It looks like JAMS still has a lot of untapped potential. We haven't really looked at all it can do although we are positive that there's still more. But, what I dislike is, cannot move a job from one folder to another (when we reorganize) without losing the historical execution information.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem solved is the part that before, we have to go to several sources/machines/logs to view execution log or historical information. With JAMS, it's just in one place.

**Official Response from Peter Hegland:**

> Hi! Thanks so much for being a loyal JAMS customer and for leaving us a review! I'm very happy to hear that JAMS has helped you with scheduling SSIS packages and viewing job history across your environment. ### 42. Converting from mainframe CA7 job schedules (very powerful) and fitting all functionality into JAMS

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jan v. | SAP Basis Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2025

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

Simplicity in design with powerful and diverse features

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

JAMS documentation is sometimes not detailed enough.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Eliminating manual job monitoring and automating on call processes.

**Official Response from Peter Hegland:**

  ### 43. Ending manual drudgery and boosting throughput

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Quentin L. | Business process automation manager, Logistics and Supply Chain, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2025

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

I find it very nice the way JAMS Enterprise Job Scheduler can manage multiple systems with complex dependencies chains. It has helped make it much easier to coordinate our nightly imports of financial data across a number of legacy applications. The fact that it is simple to subscribe to notices about job failures has likewise kept many late night emergency calls at bay.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

The main functionality is solid, but the user interface in crafting custom scripts within the jobs is a bit old-fashioned and less user-friendly than I would like it to be. More easily accessible pre-built patterns of integration with cloud services would be helpful as well. A bit of treasure hunt Sometimes it seems like treasure hunt to find the exact log of a particular historical run.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were struggling to get our key customer reporting jobs going at a consistent rate and in the correct sequence, which usually led to slackness in information getting into the hands of our salespeople. Now reporting is reliably sequenced and automated, with us introducing JAMS Enterprise Job Scheduler. This means our sales reps will be equipped with the latest customer metrics in the morning, which has given them confidence and has enhanced their outreach.

**Official Response from Peter Hegland:**

> Hi Quentin - thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review and for being a loyal JAMS customer! Glad to know that JAMS has helped to keep many late night emergency calls at bay :) Understood on the UI and the integrations with cloud services. All are actively being worked on. ### 44. JAMS Scheduler Saves the Day

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2024

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

Jams support is top notch. Its hard to find good support.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

Powershell 7 needs to be integrated more

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Real time alerting when jobs fail or complete. It's better to be proactive than reactive when a simple job fails.

  ### 45. Reliable, Easy to Use, and Outstanding Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Olivier F. | Application Support Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2025

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

This product stands out for its reliability, user-friendly interface, and excellent customer support. I appreciate how dependable it is and how easy it is to navigate, which makes my experience much smoother. The customer support team is also very helpful and responsive.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

I can't think of any major issues at the moment. It would be helpful if the client used fewer resources, but I understand that we do run many jobs throughout the day, which likely contributes to this.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We run overnight batches, intra-day jobs, and perform evening maintenance across all of our environments.

**Official Response from Peter Hegland:**

> Hi Olivier - thanks so much for being a loyal JAMS customer and taking the time to leave us a review! Glad to hear that JAMS has been of value to you and that our customer support team has been helpful and responsive. Have you tested out our new web client beta? That should consume fewer resources than our current thick client. Please reach out to me at peter.hegland@jamssoftware.com if you'd like to chat more.

  ### 46. JAMS Scheduler – A Game Changer for Our Team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Glenn W. | JDE CNC, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2025

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

We’ve been using JAMS Scheduler for a while now, and it’s made a huge difference in how we handle our job scheduling and automation. What used to be a mess of scripts and manual processes is now streamlined, reliable, and easy to manage.

The interface is intuitive, and I love how we can manage jobs across different systems (JDE, Windows, Linux, SQL, etc.) all from one place. Setting up schedules and dependencies is straightforward, and we’ve been able to automate a lot of tasks that used to take up too much time.

One of the standout features is the alerting and error handling—it’s saved us more than once by catching issues before they become big problems. Plus, their support team is top-notch. Anytime we’ve had a question or needed help with setup, they’ve been quick and super helpful.

Overall, JAMS has saved us time, reduced errors, and given us peace of mind. If you're looking for a solid scheduling solution, I highly recommend giving it a try.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

The only thing I dislike is that I didn't find it sooner!

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

JAMS is solving the problem of scattered, inconsistent, and manual job scheduling across our environment. Before using it, we were juggling Windows Task Scheduler, SQL jobs, and a bunch of custom scripts—all running separately with little visibility or control. It was hard to track what was running where, and even harder to troubleshoot when something failed.

Now with JAMS, everything is centralized. We can manage, monitor, and automate all of our jobs from a single dashboard. It’s helped us reduce missed jobs, avoid overlaps or conflicts, and catch failures early thanks to built-in alerts and logging. It's also saved us a ton of time—we’re not stuck manually triggering or checking processes anymore. That’s been a huge win for productivity and peace of mind.

**Official Response from Peter Hegland:**

> Hi Glenn - thank you so much for taking time to leave us a review and for being a loyal JAMS customer! Glad to hear JAMS has helped you in a lot of ways! If you have any suggestions for how we can improve the product and deliver better service please reach out to me. My email is peter.hegland@jamsoftware.com.

  ### 48. Flexible scheduling and customization, but lacks color status codes and Linux DB connections

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2026

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

JAMS has more scheduling options, and it can be easily customisable.
Ease use of JAMS Commandlets
The support team is easily reachable.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

Lack of color codes, just to see about the job's status based on the color, we have it in Control-M scheduler
It does not connects to any other Linux based databases ( Oracle, RDS etc )
The scheduler is restriced to be on only windows platform, not on Linux, AIX

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

workload management.
A number of scheduled tasks from various applications
Workflows management.

**Official Response from Peter Hegland:**

> Hi! Thanks so much for being a loyal JAMS customer and taking the time to leave us a review! I'm happy that JAMS has been of use to you and that the cmdlets and our support team have been helpful. I would think we could add color codes fairly easily. Can you please ping me at peter.hegland@jamssoftware.com and we can get that raised quickly with our dev team. I'd also like to chat more about what integrations you'd like to see with other Linux based databases. We are actively building out our integration library so we might be able to get something done here quick for you too. Lastly, while JAMS does only support SQL as the backend database to the application, it can still orchestrate jobs across any server platform (Windows, Linux, IBMi, z/OS, etc). If you want to chat more about this please reach out!

Thanks again!

  ### 49. Boosts Automation with Ease but Needs Bug Fixes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Relations | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2022

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

I find JAMS straightforward to use, and I like the abilities it has with PowerShell. There's a lot of built-in PowerShell commandlets with JAMS, like submitting a JAMS entry, which gives additional versatility when using PowerShell in conjunction with JAMS.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

There's a lot of little funky bugs that have persisted for a while.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use JAMS to automate our job processes intelligently.

**Official Response from Katie Thompson:**

> Thanks for the 5-star review of JAMS. It’s great to see you are enjoying the great flexibility in running jobs, either on a timer, on triggers, or by parsing emails for phrases. Also, thanks for your feedback on batch exports of jobs as well as editing job paths. I have shared this information with our product team. If there's ever anything that you need from us, don't be shy and feel free to reach out directly to your account representative or JAMS support. Thanks!

  ### 50. Our operations became transparent and JAMS illuminated forgotten dependencies

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriele P. | Enterprise Automation Strategist, Industrial Automation, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2025

**What do you like best about JAMS?**

We really like the fact that JAMS Enterprise Job Scheduler has the capability of dynamically adjusting our various server loads when we run simulations at peak times. It also schedules job execution wisely along real time resource availability without bottlenecks. Its extremely fine grained conditional logic also means our scientific workflows donot proceed to the next step before all the given data validation steps have passed.

**What do you dislike about JAMS?**

To initially write the JAMS code to map what we are currently doing today in our manual scientific workflow was a considerable up-front investment in time. The systematic planning to translate each piece of exclusive data dependency and interaction with the system was challenging. We also discovered that that the job structure was highly nested, and could be better visualized in the monitoring dashboard.

**What problems is JAMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem that we faced was to maintain the data integrity throughout several levels of scientific simulation operations. Handoffs by hand among various research teams caused problems in versioning of data or timely missing steps to perform crucial analysis. These multi stage data transformations, formerly only partially orchestrated by JAMS Enterprise Job Scheduler, now run uninterrupted, end-to-end. This has been able to remove the human error entirely in the process of executing our work and also boosted our research cycle immensely.

**Official Response from Peter Hegland:**

> Hi Gabriele! Thank so much for being a loyal JAMS customer and taking the time to leave us a review! Happy to hear that you have gotten good value out of using JAMS. If you have any more feedback on how we could improve our monitor view please email at peter.hegland@jamssoftware.com. We are in the midst of improving this in our web client and your feedback would be greatly appreciated.
