What I like most about JAMS is that it makes our recurring IT activities predictable and reliable. I have set it to execute SQL updates, system backups and SAP batch jobs automatically. The process of being missed or incomplete has been done away with in the daily use. Its dependency capabilities, retries, and notices provide the IT team with an opportunity to work on more value projects without the worry of usual failures.

The GUI interface is a strength of the JAMS Scheduler. It's very monitor what is running or switch to see what the projected schedule is or even the history of the jobs that have ran. The Definitions shortcut allows for easy organization of the jobs that may run for different systems and/or environments.

Jams runs our jobs without fail in a highly available configuration in multiple data centers.
