What do you like best about Jama Connect for Requirements Management?

Simple and efficient UI - While offering all top features to be expected from such as tool (requirement management traceability, baselines management, risk management, reviews, etc.) and a lot of flexibility with its configuration capabilities, the decision of the team to engage with Jama came for a great deal from its simple and intuitive user interface.

Tremendous customer support - While during the evaluation process of the other tools the team had to process the manual or follow length tutorials and onboarding sessions, with Jama the learning curve has been much faster: less than half of the time spent in onboarding/training session with far better results). What do you dislike about Jama Connect for Requirements Management?

The configuration, for instance of relationship rules is system-wide and not per-project which is not ideal for contract development / manufacturing as he customer has its own specific needs. However, it is easy to understand the rationale behind it to streamline and standardize all developments within most companies. Fortunately, we can still create as many configurations as we like, one for each project if needed. That will just make the administrators job a bit less easy while having no impact on all the other users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Jama Connect for Requirements Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

- Manage requirements in a single place without all the pain and suffering to maintain traceability in endless traceability tables, including test coverage and test results.

- Limit the risks of quality issue due to undetected gaps in the traceability.

- Allows better and faster management of late-stage changes reducing their impact in terms of both delays and cost.

What do you like best about Jama Connect for Requirements Management?

From my experience of Jama, as long as you have minor RedHat experience, this is a very easy installation. You do not need to know Kubernetes as such. The installation script they provide makes life so simple.

Their support has always been superb, and I would Highly recommend Jama from an DevOps/IT perspective.

Deploying updates couldn't be easier either with their management/admin portal

What do you like best about Jama Connect for Requirements Management?

- Intuitve usability in the Cloud Version due to lean design and good/clever implemented functions

- Very mature features for Requirement Management incl. Risk Assesments (Functional Safety, Cyber Security, FMEA) and good features for supporting topics like Test Management

- Superb Customer Service with helpful documents, guidelines and support sessions for all Problems arround the Software and further more the Requirement Management itself

What do you like best about Jama Connect for Requirements Management?

Cloud Hosted, Floating Licensing Options, Basically Free Licenses for Review Center so that the whole company can contribute even if they can't change content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jama Connect for Requirements Management?

1) Timeouts for Login even though I'm on the Same Computer (JIRA stays logged in all the time).

2) I would also like to have more flexibility to create my own export templates (pull just specific Relationship types in exports so that I don't have to have all Parents / Children in export templates).

3) Include a development environment so that we can trial changes to workflows/structures before having to modify the live environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Jama Connect for Requirements Management solving and how is that benefiting you?

JAMA serves as a single location for requirements.

This allows us to find them and not have to look for them in network folders or Teams sites.

The Automated reports generation save a ton of time for my team where we don't have to hand format / create verification summary reports any longer.

What do you like best about Jama Connect for Requirements Management?

Jama's basic platform provides a simple platform that enables little trianing for a user to get started and to be productive using the tool to capture requirements, design, and other program level information. Customer support is also stellar. It is nice having a human to talk to, and the responses are timely and reguarly resolve open questions, and comments. Standing up the platform is straight forward, the tool is robust in its application, and enables integration of multiple projects to drive a connected digital model. What do you dislike about Jama Connect for Requirements Management?

There are a lot of great capabilities with Jama, however the "a la carte" pricing model to add basic features to enable requirement import/export (i.e., ReqIf), Jama Advisory, and Jama Interconnect should be part of the basic fee structure, rather than individauls pricing based on the number of specific licenses. These featuers help to differentiate from competitators and it would be appreciated if some of these featuers would be included, especially for companies that do not have blockbuster budgets. Ultimatley, Jama is being use as a tool to enable certification of our product against stringent regulatory requirements.
