The interface is incredibly easy to jump into for someone that is new to the PLM software. The interface is intuitive with everything you need right at the top. I also like the face that you can customize the columns within each world to make it useful for different roles. I have noticed a bug, when entering an item it takes a while to load up and when it does load my search box disappears. It would also be nice if it sent the approval prompt emails out more often to the approvers, I also don't love the format of the emails it send. The text is small and send it all in one graphic. I think this causing some to ignore the email, as opposed to if it was written in a true email paragraph format. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Arena PLM to manage my files. In my experience, revision tracking is the best thing about Arena. I also find the process for including the relevant information needed to release files clear, and the way the process is tracked is easy to follow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In my experience, I haven’t come across any real dislikes. My only suggestion is that when revising a document, for example from Rev A to Rev B, the attached file name still remains as Rev A in the file name field. The layout is clean and the .csv integrations for bulk import is helpful. There are also multiple pathways to navigate to the items, changes, or files you wish to reach. It could be a little faster to load pages, but it is easy to learn and makes onboarding quick. The pricing is not something I am familiar with since it handled by another team, but it appears to be a good enough ROI to keep using. The overall usability is incredibly intuitive, offering a much simpler interface than competitors while delivering a massive return on investment. From a performance standpoint, it is flawless—I can keep dozens of tabs open simultaneously without any lag or crashing, which is absolutely required for managing complex engineering workflows. It is also great that they have integrated AI tools, which I regularly use to quickly track down specific part numbers and supplier items. The interconnectivity with other apps makes it a powerhouse. Even though we do not utilize every single feature, the ROI is undeniable, especially since we recently implemented the risk tool within supplier items, which has already saved us from costly issues. My primary frustration is browser compatibility; I had to move away from Google Chrome because it did not seem to interact smoothly with Arena, and I would strongly prefer to revert back to it. Additionally, while the new AI tools seem promising, there is a distinct lack of onboarding material for them. I would highly recommend adding dedicated video tutorials or detailed walkthroughs explaining their exact capabilities. I use Arena PLM & QMS to manage documents and control revisions effectively. The structured yet flexible workflows match real-world processes and maintain traceability without slowing teams down. I appreciate that engineering, quality, and supply chain all work off the same product record, reducing version confusion and chaos. The system's filters, sorting, and export options save me time in finding and managing the exact documents I need. There's some friction in search and data retrieval if you don't know exactly how something is named or structured, finding the right item, document, or record can take longer than it should. And when I try to export some data, some of the units are missing in the exported Excel, like if there are some items starting with '0', those are exported without zero, and it is taking more time to export. Intuitive interface. Arena's graphical user interface makes it easier to find the parts and requests I am looking for. There are no codes and numbers to be remembered to access specific parts.

It is easier to get started with as a new user and the new AI search features make life easier when looking for specific details that might be buried deeper inside. The centralized management of project requests, change orders, and item records across structured fields makes tracking very efficient. Having approvals and phase-gate reviews accessible from a single platform significantly improves visibility and control. There is limited functionality for tracking activities from the production and implementation side. Currently, additional tools such as SAP or BAAN are required to manage ERP-related execution and manufacturing progress. Sometimes I find it hard to find records or documents if I dont know their exact item or record number. The search requires you to know the exact name of something youre looking for which I found hard to navigate when I started using Arena. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
