GAIN has transformed how we manage approvals and social media content. What we like the most is its intuitive interface, which makes scheduling, reviewing, and approving content seamless for multiple teams and clients. The commenting and review functionality is precise, helping maintain clear communication, avoiding misunderstandings, and speeding up the workflow. Additionally, the automated approval process is an invaluable time-saver for our agency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While GAIN is excellent for managing approvals, we would like the platform to offer more advanced integrations with other tools we use daily. We've also noticed that uploading some visual files can be slightly slow, which could be improved to optimize the user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have been using GainApp since I started working at my first digital marketing agency 7 years ago. Wherever I work, or whenever I talk to someone in the industry, I try to convince them to use GainApp for their social media approval processes. Now that I am an owner of a digital marketing agency, it was a no-brainer to get Gain. It was one of the first tools our small business "invested" in.
In the past 7 years Gain also kept up with the social media trends and the pain points digital marketers experience, trying to make it easier and more user-friendly with every update. I am especially excited about the feature for Reel Covers launching soon!
The customer support is also really great! It's amazing to know that 7 years later, I still receive the same high-quality customer support. Usually, a new business tries to be very supportive in the beginning and once the company grows, they start focusing on other areas of the business. Gain still prioritises customer feedback and client relationships. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of our clients feel like they can't "see" the changes they requested on a post once they published their changes.
I personally wish that sometimes I would get a "reminder" that my posts are still in drafts because I've forgotten a few times that I added a post in draft but that it hasn't been "scheduled". BUT then again, that is my mistake - not Gain's. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Gain App excels in simplifying workflows, allowing everything—content creation, scheduling, and client approvals—to happen in one place. Its ability to bring clients into the approval process has improved efficiency and strengthened client relationships. Features like easy duplication for cross-posting and automatic approval notifications make the whole process seamless. I also love the visual calendar view that gives a birds eye view of upcoming content – our clients love it too.
I've used a lot of social media schedulers in the past 10 years and I haven't found one that even holds a flame to Gain App. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The main limitation is that some elements, like videos in a Facebook carousel or Reel cover photos, must be manually added outside the platform. Since Gain App is a smaller company, I do find that they take a bit longer to implement new features. That said, for me, the pros definitely outweigh the cons. I've used Gain for a handful of years now and it's never done me or my teams wrong. It's an amazing tool to help our content receive proper feedback and approvals as well as organize the posting calendar. We've been able to get a variety of clients to use it and they've mentioned it's seamless and very user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the things that I dislike about Gain may or may not be out of your control but some of the missing product offerings can create issues when routing content. For example, Gain doesn't offer mixed media when routing Instagram carousels, so we typically have to separate content in order to route everything. Another is not being able to upload a thumbnail image for Instagram Reels. I'm sure there are a few other API things, but that's really it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For us quality of our content is so important. We like best the approval features, as we have several review steps before it goes to the client, so I love that we can go through the approval process and then content automatically gets sent to the client. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We schedule content for usually Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn at the same time, and it can be tedious having to duplicate the content for each channel. It would be good to be able to create the content at the same time (and just amend caption per channel like you can in buffer). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has truly transformed our content calendar approval process. The automation feature saves us so much time and effort, allowing our team to focus on what really matters—creating great content.
One of the standout benefits is the significant reduction in the margin for error. We can approve posts right from our smartphones or computers, making it incredibly convenient. Plus, the audit trail provides transparency, letting us see who approved what and when, which enhances our collaboration. It's easy to set-up and sync our social media platforms and use. The customer service is A+.
We use this tool frequently, so I love being able to preview social media posts before they go live; it helps us visualize the final product and ensure everything looks perfect. Overall, GAIN has streamlined our workflow, making it easier and more efficient. Highly recommend it to any team looking to enhance their content management process! No dislikes to share. It's a great tool! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like most about Gain is how easy it is to use, both internally and externally. Content creation is a breeze, and customer approvals and feedback are easy to manage.
What's more, if there's a problem, the customer service team is dedicated, cares about its users and always responds quickly and professionally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's not much I don't like about the tool. Perhaps the inability to post directly to Facebook groups, but that's a block via Facebook, not Gain.
Perhaps also the new plans available. We're still on the old plan and of the new ones, none of them suit us unless we double our monthly payments. It would be interesting to offer more affordable options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of approvals - we are able to schedule out social media posts for clients and send them for review all at once. I also like that I can easily sort posts by platform. I can also use Gain for content approval for things like blogs, videos and graphics.
If there is ever an issue, they are quick to respond and get things taken care. Our clients like that they don't have to have a log in to approve posts. You can easily take away or add users without a crazy fee. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the preview features can be glitchy and there are integrations that I wish existed for Instagram. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Gain makes social media management for agencies a breeze! Working both as an employee at an agency and now being the founder of an agency, my clients over the past few years of using Gain have had nothing but positive reviews about the ease of content approvals on the platform. My team and I also love the calendar view for content planning, labelling key promotional periods and the ability to automatically schedule both posts and stories. Gain could have some better analytics integrated, and I also find that sometimes it will compress the size of video files to make them blurry on social platforms. It would also be great to be able to post carousels or story sequences that include both video and photo together, rather than needing to separate them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We were looking for an approval tool more than a software to public content and Gain was the best we found to fulfill this purpose. It is quite easy to use even if needs training because it's not that intuitive. Implementation and integration to our daily working routine was really easy so a plus. We are using it almost every day and really helps our job. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would not say that I dislike it but more what can be improved. For example add a round IF to the approval. This is missing. If somebody says no, the content would take another round of approval. Customer support could be faster and live. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
