## About Bento
Bento is an email marketing, marketing automation, and transactional email platform built for teams who take email seriously. It combines the tools you'd normally need three or four separate products for into a single app. Send newsletters, run automated sequences, and handle transactional emails like order confirmations and password resets from one place. The platform is built around powerful automation that doesn't require a PhD to use. Create multi-step sequences with behavioral triggers, segment subscribers based on what they actually do, and personalize content without writing complex logic. Everything from cart abandonment flows to onboarding sequences to win-back campaigns runs from the same workflow builder. Deliverability infrastructure comes standard with Bento. Reputation monitoring, authentication setup, and batching controls are built in rather than sold as expensive add-ons. Poor deliverability means emails land in spam regardless of how much you spend on your platform. Bento treats inbox placement as a core feature, not an afterthought. The pricing model is value-based. You pay for users rather than emails sent This typically works out cheaper for teams with large, high volume lists but we also tend to be cheaper for people coming from competitors too. No hidden fees for deliverability tools or premium support tiers. Bento works best for ecommerce stores, SaaS companies, and digital product creators with 5,000 to 500,000 contacts. It's designed for operators who've outgrown basic tools but don't need enterprise complexity. Developer-friendly APIs and SDKs make integration straightforward for technical teams. SOC-2 compliant, founded in 2019, with a small team of employees across 3 continents.

## Bento Reviews
 ### 1. Bento Makes Everything Simple, Clear, and Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jake H. | Business Development Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Bento?**

The best thing about Bento is how simple and easy the whole experience feels. Everything is clear, well organised, and low-fuss, which makes it really easy to use and recommend.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

Honestly, there isn’t much I’d change. If anything, a little more upfront detail in a few areas would make it even easier to know exactly what to expect, but overall it was a really smooth experience.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento makes things simpler and more organised, which saves time and takes a bit of the back-and-forth out of the process. It’s been useful for keeping things clear, easy to manage, and low-fuss.

 ### 2. Affordable All-in-One for Promotional and Transactional Emails

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex S. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Bento?**

I knew there had to be an affordable solution on the market which could handle both promotional/marketing emails and transactional emails - and in Bento I've found that. Customer support is simply there - and because Bento hasn't been sold on yet and is still working with a small team, you get an answer/solution from the exact person who knows how the exact thing works!

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

I think it is a steeper learning curve than other "out of the box" autoresponder solutions I've worked with previously, however - Jesse is working tirelessly to make everything more intuitive and easier for us to use.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need to be able to add new users to my marketing funnel, offer transactional emails to buyers + welcome sequences, and also provide transactional emails such as the "email to developer" types. I wanted to have all of this "under one roof" as it were rather than having a regular autoresponder and also needing to keep up with an SMTP service to handle transactional emails. In addition, I run more than one brand - and Bento is allowing me to keep both brands under one hood for the same price.

 ### 3. A Powerhouse Platform That Actually Delivers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yordan Y. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Bento?**

We use Bento for both marketing campaigns and transactional emails, and it has been a revelation. The sheer breadth and depth of its service portfolio are staggering - it's very, very large and capable. What I enjoy most is that it consolidates tools we used to patch together from multiple services into one intuitive platform, and the customer support team has been fantastic - responsive, knowledgeable, and a key part of a smooth experience.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

Nothing in particular stood out as a downside. Because the platform offers so many features, it takes some time to explore everything it can do.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento solves our core problem of platform fragmentation. Previously, we juggled separate services for marketing blasts, automated journeys, and transactional emails. Bento brings it all under one roof with remarkable ease of integration. This consolidation has benefited us through increased reliability and significant time savings.

 ### 4. Simple to Use, Impressively Robust

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lokal O. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Bento?**

It is simple to use but very robust in what it can do.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

I think the navigational experience could be a little bit better but I don't have much that I dislike.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They take away the email deliverability concern with how they manage their IP pools.

 ### 5. The Greatest Email Marketing Tool Of All Time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abdullah A. | Marketing Consultant & Business Coach, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Amazing Support, plus I had issues with deliverability they helped me fix it all..

The system itself helps you to have great deliverability on it's own, by simply following the given instructions inside their onboarding within the web app itself..

Also their tracking system, oh my god.. this is big..

this system tells you exactly what each user (subscriber) has been doing inside your funnel, it's more like a crm, now I can make decisions perfectly with my team..

I know what to say, how to follow up based on the actions the user took within the funnel.

Their AI email writer within itself is a whole product.. this thing is insane, I can write two words and it will write a full email with (your chosen tone of voice), also with an amazing direct response marketing copy..

There is also this ai agent chat system that I haven't tried or figured out yet, but I'm sure it's also an amazing feature..

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

it's a bit techy to get to use it, but once you get the hang of it, you know why they set it up like this..

I think it's an all in all business tool that helps you track the actions of every single user within

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The system itself helps you to have great deliverability on it's own, by simply following the given instructions inside their onboarding within the web app itself..

The founder is there to help with supporting customers, he works day in and day out to help us learn and improve our user experience so that we can get the results from bento..

I've tried out so much other email marketing software, and I have to say Bento is by far the best email marketing software out there, no questions about it..

Their Support, Their Tracking System, Their AI writer, Their Automation System, Their Sending Limits, Their Deliverability..

I have to say everything is overall Impressive

 ### 6. Best deliverability ever. Rockstar Support.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard B. | IT, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Bento?**

I just love the warm up feature. I love that they are selective about who the let on the platform and that they actively make sure they are good at all times. All of the feature of the ESP portion are baked into the cost so you are not going to "pay more for segmentation' or something like that. I love the service email feature as well, it helps us track higher engagement.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

Learning curve is a bit steep, everything you want is basically there and more it just might not be where you think it is. This is mitigated by great support

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping me in touch with my customer base. keeping my domain warm and managing sending in batches to keep reputation high is a just handled by the platform

 ### 7. Intuitive and Effortless Email Marketing and Transactional with Bento

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** João P.

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Bento?**

I love how intuitive and beautiful Bento is in its design, making it a seamless experience to use. Everything just works flawlessly, allowing me to quickly go through sign-up workflows without any hassle. This efficiency means I can focus on my core work instead of being bogged down with setting up email workflows or handling cumbersome tasks. Bento simplifies my life by being efficient and user-friendly, ensuring that I get to dedicate my time to the most important aspects of my job.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

It may seem off, but there's nothing I dislike about Bento, actually!

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Bento to broadcast campaigns to customers and newsletter subscribers, saving time on email writing with its intuitive workflows. It allows me to focus more on my critical work tasks.

 ### 8. Effortless Email Management, Responsive Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Toby C.

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Bento?**

I really enjoy using Bento for sending transactional emails and newsletters, as it allows me to manage both from the same platform and provides a holistic view of my customers. I like the feel of the product; it's quirky and different, which makes the experience enjoyable. I also appreciate that it's run by a sole founder who is very responsive to support and feedback requests, meaning I can work around any problems quickly without the hassle often encountered with larger companies. Additionally, the initial setup of Bento was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

Nothing comes to mind.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento allows me to send transactional emails and newsletters from the same platform and gives me a holistic view of my customers.

 ### 9. Deliverability-First Email Sending with Smart Batch Recommendations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michal T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Bento?**

It makes deliverability a priority. It proposes sending emails in smaller batches.
I migrated from Drip and found that bento satisfies all my needs

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

They are currently rebuilding their docs, so learning about it's features was challenging. I couldn't find a way to send broadcasts in subscriber's own timezone.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has an interesting way of treating users. Your users can be added to bento without a subscription which allows tracking.

 ### 10. The SaaS Founder Email Platform of Choice

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian S. | CEO, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Bento?**

I really appreciate how they've built a very powerful product that intelligently "gates" a lot of the most complex features away, so that when I want to do something simple it's right in front of me, but if I have a crazier email idea it's still possible in the same platform.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

I don't think there's anything specific I dont like about Bento, really my frustrations around email marketing are just the inherent issues with sending emails, deliverability, saying the right thing, etc. Bento does everything they can to make those issues transparent, but you still gotta do the work.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've totally delegated our email to Bento, including transactional emails in app, marketing broadcasts (eg, monthly product updates,) and also workflow based emails.

 ### 11. Powerful marketing automation platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin W. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Bento is a robust marketing automation platform that is evolving at a rapid pace. The creator/lead developer is very responsive to requests for feedback/updates. You can accomplish most of your automation needs, including email, workflows, chat, and more, for a fraction of the cost of most established platforms.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

The user interface is unique and overwhelming at first. I wish there were an option to enable light mode, as the only choice now is dark. Some of the screens, particularly the overview pages, feel very cluttered.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento is committed to email deliverability and provides many helpful tools to ensure emails are being successfully delivered. They have a full onboarding guide to walk users through the process of setting up sending domains, ensuring emails are compliant, and they also run a pre-send check list to ensure email content won't be flagged as spam.

 ### 12. As a bootstrapper, Bento is awesome for email marketing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter V. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Their customer support is the best I've ever seen. You get a direct line to the founder, and they really answer any questions directly.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

It's probably good to be a little technically inclined.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Email marketing for my products, of all kinds

 ### 13. Moving to Bento was the best thing I ever did for my list and its profitability

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Iliane L. | Unternehmensinhaber, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Bento is incredibly flexible, intuitive, and user-friendly. It provides insights into my list that I never had access to with my previous provider, and sorting and managing my list has become so much easier. Their support team is outstanding—fast, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. On top of that, their marketing resources are excellent and have really helped me improve communication with my audience. It’s a comprehensive solution that delivers on all fronts!

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

At first, I found Bento a bit intimidating because it looked so different from what I was used to with my previous provider. However, with some experimentation, I quickly got the hang of it. Their detailed documentation, responsive support team, and helpful Discord community made the learning curve much easier and got me up and running in no time. Any initial concerns were quickly resolved!

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento has revolutionized how I manage and optimize my email lists. It provides detailed insights that allow me to better understand my audience and create targeted, effective campaigns. The automation features have streamlined my communications, saving me time and effort, while improving engagement and building stronger relationships with my audience. Overall, it has simplified processes that previously felt overwhelming and made my marketing much more effective.

 ### 14. Finally – an email platform that gets it.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Szymon S. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Bento?**

What I like most is that Bento was clearly built by people who actually do email marketing. The event-based logic gives me full control to design smart, behavior-driven automations. It’s fast, flexible, and doesn’t get in my way with bloated features I don’t need. Plus, deliverability is finally where it should be – my emails get opened and clicked.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

The initial learning curve was a bit steep, especially coming from more visual or drag-and-drop platforms. It took some time to fully understand the event-based system and how everything connects. Also, I’d love to see a few more ready-to-use templates or onboarding flows to speed things up for new users.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento solves three big problems I had: poor email deliverability, limited automation flexibility, and lack of real behavioral targeting. With Bento, my emails finally reach the inbox, not the spam folder. I can trigger automations based on real-time events like purchases, page views, or clicks – which means my messages are more relevant and timely. As a result, engagement and conversions have noticeably improved, and I spend less time fighting with the tool and more time focusing on strategy.

 ### 15. The Email / CRM I Never Knew I Needed

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brett S. | Columbia Gorge Realtor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Bento made emailing and my entire business a ton of fun. I can tell this because the CEO, Jesse (who you can get direct support from on Discord) is having just as much every day. I can dream up an idea, and you know what? I can add it to Bento. I use it every day and it's easy. Oh, and it was easy to install too. It took a matter of minutes... now, it took awhile to configure it, but that's because I get so carried away with all of the features that Bento offers. I couldn't imagine my business any other way, and honestly, I am trying to hook my friends up with Bento too, because options are endless.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

I am not a very technical user, but I know enough to get myself into trouble. Bento is probably best for the somewhat techy user (but not required). I found myself in a pickle a few times trying to understand some of the quirks that Bento had, but Jesse (the CEO) was on Discord and available in a matter of minutes to show me the way. I'm confident that I ever run to an issue, It'll be solved timely. I've learned a lot more about emails and crms with Bento than I would have otherwise, but honestly, it made a better marketer.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a real estate agent, I need to be in flow and delivering a lot of high quality value on a routine basis. Bento allows me to automate my onboarding process, as well as track activity on my WordPress website. On WordPress, I can also setup several triggers (forms, page views, clicks, purchases, etc.) to continue my automations either on Bento, or on places like Zapier, where I can integrate with endless applications. This kind of control is unhead of in my intrustry and puts me towards the top of my industry.

 ### 16. What a modern CRM should be

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caspar d. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Although I'm at the beginning of my journey with Bento, I'm blown away by the amount of functionality they make available to users without hiding everything behind a crazy expensive paywall. Setup was very simple, and their documentation regarding getting additional custom Wordpress events set up made everything a breeze. Very fairly priced, and the customer support has been top-notch.

Integration with Wordpress was a breeze. I tested the platform off the back of a recommendation, and will now be migrating all my other CRM instances over to Bento.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

The only gripe I have is that I wish they made it slightly easier to implement custom setups. I had to jump through a couple of loopholes as I'm using a subscription plugin that doesn't natively integrate with Bento.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento allows me to set up marketing automation easily, based on a greater level of user detail/interaction with my website. The powerful segmentation features based on customer events makes this incredibly easy to do.

 ### 17. Bento: A Game-Changer for Email Marketing and CRM

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer L. | Freelance, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Bento?**

What we like most about Bento is how seamlessly it integrates into our existing processes. The email templates are both modern and visually appealing, making it easy to quickly create professional campaigns. Additionally, the list-size-based pricing model is straightforward and includes all features, regardless of our business scale. The management of workflows and automation is particularly impressive thanks to the "Flows" tool, which opens up advanced possibilities for marketing.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

What we like least about Bento is that certain aspects of the web design layout could be improved, though this is a minor detail compared to the platform's overall quality. Adding the option to use the platform in French could also be a valuable enhancement.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Bento for Qualitee.io, and it has quickly become an essential tool for our marketing strategy. Its ease of implementation, combined with a rich set of features, makes it the best choice for companies seeking a complete and effective solution. The email customization options are a clear asset. The customer support is highly responsive, which is always reassuring.

 ### 18. The best emailing app

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julien D. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Numerous features
Very attractive pricing
The customer support is excellent : you have a direct contact with the creator (Jesse)
The solution’s effectiveness
Discord community to exchange ideas with other users.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

I don’t see any. I imagine the software is less user-friendly than some competitors and requires a learning curve, but it’s absolutely worth it.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento is helping us streamline our email marketing and automation processes in a way that’s both cost-effective and highly efficient. We previously faced challenges with skyrocketing prices from our previous provider (ActiveCampaign), which forced us to look for an alternative. Bento not only solved the budget issue but also provided powerful automation, tagging, and segmentation features that allow us to better target and engage our audience. The direct support from the creator and the active community on Discord have made it easier to optimize our campaigns and troubleshoot any issues quickly. Overall, Bento has made our marketing operations smoother, more flexible, and more impactful.

 ### 19. Deliverability and Support are UNMATCHED

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Their incredible support and huge focus on deliverability is just amazing.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

It can be a bit difficult to get everything working when switching from another platform, because Bento does things differently (in a good way though -> just just have to get used to it)

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento is making Email Marketing a breeze for me. Love the plain text emails. They are outstanding compared to ActiveCampaign, Kit and others.

 ### 20. Marketing Automation for a fraction of the cost

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Grayson P. C. | Owner & Lead Generation Expert, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Bento has all the features I was using with a different marketing automation tool but its a fraction of the cost. Support is fast. I use it weekly. It easily integrate with the other tools I use too.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

Steeper learning curve than other tools. It's extremely flexible which is great once you're familiar with the tool but makes its it tougher when you're first getting started.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making sure I'm using best practices to get into people's inboxes. It has excellent deliverability and automation features.

 ### 21. Beautiful designed, and gets the job done

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel S. | Automations Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Bento?**

After trying multiple email marketing tools, I have to say that Bento is the one I prefere.

First, because the deliverability of the emails is the best I've seen.

Second, because of the outstanding support, and continuous improvement of the product.

Third, because of the event based system that helps you know in a glance what is going on with your subscribers.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

Coming from other tools, it can be difficult at first to get your hands on it.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me do email marketing. It also helps me to maintain a healthy subscribers list.

 ### 22. The Best Email Marketing Platform I've Used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark S. | Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Bento?**

It has very simple list-size based pricing, and you get all the features no matter what. The email marketing piece is great by itself, but when you layer in Flows, you can take the automation of your marketing to a whole other level. The support is also personalized and community based, which makes getting help very easy.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

From a business perspective, choosing a small team like Bento (vs a large corporation) could be a risk for some, but there are emergency safeguards in place, so I'm personally not worried. From a technical perspective, I haven't experienced any significant shortcomings. At the time of writing, there is no Android app which make monitoring live chat slightly limited.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I tried other Platforms in Bento is by far the best. It is superior in its feature set and it is helping me reach my customers while automated the entire workflow process.

 ### 23. The best email marketing platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** brian l. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Bento?**

By far the best thing about Bento is the customer service. Email is complicated, so having essentially 1:1 support with the creator of the platform puts it above and beyond other platforms.

Everything you would expect in an email marketing platform is present in Bento. Broadcasting emails, email automation, etc. Once you watch the onboarding videos Bento is easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

There's a learning curve to the platform. You need to spend time watching the onboarding videos to fully understand how to use everything.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need to collect emails for multiple websites and send out broadcast emails weekly. Bento allows me to do that while ensuring my emails hit my subscribers inboxes.

 ### 24. Next level email marketing with minor cons

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcus L. | Grundare, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Bento?**

The tracking and AI features to build customer journeys are awesome

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

Takes a while to understand and set up for a beginner like me. Its not for the complete newbs, you should have some technical knowledge.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Advanced tracking and automation of customer journeys

 ### 25. Powerful Email Automation for Product Owners

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian H. | Creator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Bento?**

The power and flexibility in setting up email automation flows is incredible. By adding a tag based on an action (such as a purchase) or where they signed up, you can trigger any number of email flows and change it based on actions they take. Replicating the basic flows I had before in Mailchimp was easy, and I now have all that I need to add more complex flows going forward.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

None! The support in helping me get set up was first class, and after a short 1:1 onboarding session, I'm all set.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The features in Mailchimp for automation flows became more and more complex, and you were restricted to only a very basic one-step automation unless you paid a substantially higher fee. Not only do I get all the tools I need with Bento, their support is incredible if I need it. Bento also provides a WordPress + Easy Digital Downloads plugin to easily track my customers when they make a purchase. I can set up an email sequence based on what product(s) they have purchased.

 ### 26. Something special about this one

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Somewhere in their community Discord, [sensitive content hidden] mentioned recently that once a new Bento user sends their first broadcast and sets up a flow/sequence that Bento just clicks and then they become a longtime user of the platform. Well, I decided to put that to the test, because as I was just starting out I was getting a bit frustrated by some of the little things here and there was a small part of me that was worried Bento wouldn't be a good fit. But I pushed through -- largely because of the positive attitudes and helpful culture of their Discord community -- and created a campaign last week with 4 broadcasts (segmented manually from exports from my old platform cause that's still my comfort zone). Then I set up a sequence that could be triggered manually by a power action or someday down the line automatically via a flow on the off chance that a few of the 40 or so clients I sent those broadcasts to converted. Now, a few days later, 3 of them have converted on ARR subscriptions totaling exactly what my Bento subscription annual cost is. And he was right. It clicked. There's something just right about the mix of broadcasts, sequences, and flows in Bento paired with the small touches like being able to send 1-off broadcasts to a single contact if you missed them in your targeting or want to be a bit more high touch. It's just so flexible.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

The platform is so flexible and robust, you can do almost anything if you know how. But that makes it a little daunting for new users just trying to wrap their head around the design and functional philosophies unique to Bento. I highly suggest joining their Discord (big button in the top right of the dashboard) and engaging with the users there, [sensitive content hidden] and his team. They'll help you more than you could expect or set you on the right path if they can't.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Service onboarding flows and customer journeys are opening up new possibilities to streamline my operations.

 ### 27. Favorite email campaign software yet

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Travis H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Bento?**

I love the personal touch and quality of support from the Founder, and the power and flexibility of the platform, whether that be in list and campaign management, or the awesome Bot Activity feature that determines whether opens or clicks are likely to be caused by email software, and not real human interactions. What you get for the price is unmatched.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

The only downside of Bento for us is that the complexity can be confusing at times, but I wouldn't give that up.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento helps us send out segmented newsletters to our audience.

 ### 28. An absolutely delightful full features marketing automation platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kshitij S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Bento is full to gill with features for power users of marketing automation and ensures that you can create any marketing journey you want as per your needs.

Integrations a plenty with a founder that actively engages with the community on Discord is the cherry on top.

Also, due to their extremely focus on deliverability, the IP addresses are always healthy which helps your message get to customers.

We send emailers to our clients multiple times a week and almost never see and issue. As a bonus their batching feature has saved our neck more than once.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

The UI can be overwhelming for new users.

A lot of things to learn when you first get started.

If they had generic templates of best practices that would help.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an e-commerce store staying in touch with our customers via email is extremely important.

Bento makes that easy and always allows us to deliver a customized high touch approach to our clients.

 ### 29. Why choose Bento?

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pawel C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Advanced email marketing and event calling capabilities that I don't have to overpay for. Other tools are full of features that I have to pay for, but I don't need them for email marketing. Meanwhile, Bento has everything I need. Plus they have great customer support and are improving the platform all the time. I've been using it for several months now and haven't had any problems so far.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

At this point I see no flaws, everything works well.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Bento, I automate a lot of things related to customer acquisition. Bento has some cool triggers so that I don't have to use additional software to effectively make money with email marketing.

 ### 30. Super simple, super effective.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** josh m. | Founder, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Easy to get started, the team can help you solve your issues same day via Discord.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

Really nothing. It's pretty great. 10/10.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't have to worry about getting in contact with my users. Bento just does what I need it to do.

 ### 31. A Cumbersome Marketing Automation Solution

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dolores D. | Mechanical Inspector, Public Safety, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Bento is not very user friendly for developers like me. Once you get the hang of it its difficult to work with and navigate. The interface seems overwhelming for newcomers. Personally, I am unable to overcome that learning curve.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

The worst part is that I have encountered many issues with Bento far. Its a platform that does not help me to achieve my goals. There are some bugs and the visual editor isnt my favorite, the Bento team has not promptly solved problems and their customer support is poor.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento does not provide the depth and customization some businesses require. The AI email crafting feature lacks the personal touch that customers appreciate. Bentos emphasis on deliverability overlooks engagement metrics which hinder understanding and catering to customer preferences.

 ### 32. Finally an email software I like to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Easy to separate our business divisions within our organization

Clear and fair pricing

More options and features than we could hope for

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

A little more technical than the "out-of-the-box" software companies

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easily separate our business divisions

Advanced website tracking

Organized interface

 ### 33. Excellent, reliable service

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Bento?**

I'm supremely confident Bento can handle any email marketing requirements I might dream up, thanks to its powerful automation tools (flows).

Crucially, it's also possible to debug that automation, to see precisely what events/actions have occurred for each subscriber, via Bento's detailed logs. This puts it above other tools which hide that information, or only paint a partial picture.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

As a developer I find it easy to work with. Saying that, I get the impression that, for less technical folk it could be a little overwhelming, with a relatively steep initial learning curve (personally I got over that hump within the first few days!)

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I want people who visit my blog to ultimately have the opportunity to become customers.

Bento handles this flow for me, taking people from initial signup, through onboarding, then on to a number of pitch sequences (sent over a period of time). I also use Bento to end out my weekly "shadow" newsletter (a compilation of my most useful emails/articles) plus my semi-regular "live" newsletter (sent via broadcasts).

 ### 34. Packed with features and a joy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tiziano F. | Web Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Bento offers features that are hard to find in other email marketing solutions, such as tracking visitors on the site before they even sign up and a chat system. In addition, being event-based allows for incredibly powerful and flexible automations. Bento also has some goodies such as the ability to send emails in batches, the ability to group tags into groups, and the ability to set tags to expire. In addition, although a lot of external services do not integrate directly with Bento, it is really very easy to integrate with this email marketing automation solution.
I personally use it mostly on WordPress sites and implementing it with this CMS is really easy.
Since I started using Bento I have also seen an increase in the delivarability of my messages.
I was also positively impressed by the support through Discord. It is very easy to talk and get quick answers directly from the founder of Bento. A whole different thing from the long wait times that happen with other services. In some cases, with Bento, new features are added in no time at all.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

So far I have not had any problems with Bento.
However, it would not be bad if there was more documentation on the site. At the moment most of the information is accessible mainly by participating in discussions on Discord and searching the archives of past conversations.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making email marketing automation activities easier through contact segmentation, based on user interactions.

 ### 35. Great marketing software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ilias I. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Bento?**

It has a great human touch, everything is very intuitive and easy to use - it's also fully featurded and all the things you need. I use it every day and it's easy to connect to all my tools. Love it.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

Nothing so much - onboarding is great and there is always support

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sending out email campaigns for my newsletter

 ### 36. Great product with even better service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luke J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Bento?**

The support and community within Bento is hands down the best I've ever seen from any company, ever.

Any question I have is always answered quickly and effectively - and I have many questions as someone without a lot of experience in the email marketing field.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

It's a little tricky to use and navigate when you've not logged in for a while.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Bento for email capture, sequences and one-off email campaigns. Their detection features allows me to ensure we're not adding bots to our email list and their focus on deliverability means we're always to maintain a high open rate.

 ### 37. Excellent MailChimp Replacement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bitsy T. | Company Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Powerful and it has great optimisation for my many lists

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

It is a tad complicated. But the Discord team is very helpful so it's not a big problem.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I get more of my fans to see my emails and I can tell what they are interacting with most to better help me send them content they like.

 ### 38. Excellent email marketing software for SaaS, great ROI!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arnaud B. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Bento?**

I love how easy it is to use to design SaaS emailing sequences. You can also see rapidly which campaigns are the money makers. But what I love the most is undoubtedly the deliverability that you have once you've set up custom domain tracking

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

I'm not a big fan of its visual editor but it's fine, I just don't use as a result and reach my goals in another way. There is some minor bugs also but they're always fixed very rapidly.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento solves the problem of setting up SaaS email sequences that don't go to the spam folder (1) and that allow us to active our users (2) so that they take an active subscription on our software (3).

 ### 39. Awesomely flexible automation and communication for SaaS marketers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Santiago Gonzalez G. | Marketing Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Bento?**

Bento's automation capabilities are almost infinite through its Workflows feature where you can use ANY user generated-event (either standard or custom events captured through code) as a trigger for a workflow. These workflows can start/stop email sequences, chat conversations; or they can update your CRM and other systems via webhooks or Zapier integration.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

Some of the reports are not as clear/useful as they could be considering the wealth of underlying data.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento helps us gain a full view of our users and their stages of app usage, feeding data to our user's profiles so we can reach out and accompany their journey.

 ### 40. Everything at your finger tips

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alicia J. | Virtual Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Bento?**

The most helpful thing about bento is having all the stuff required for email marketing at your finger tip. The upside on using bento is not having to use 10 different apps.

**What do you dislike about Bento?**

I don't have any issues with bento at all because bento is a dream come true. Maybe in the future I might revisit but right now I'm happy with them.

**What problems is Bento solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bento helps you save a lot of time crafting your emails by using the AI part.
