"Good tool for AP automation"

What do you like best about Basware?

Basware was originally an AP software and that's where it strength is. Basware is always connected to accounting or ERP system so it is flexible on integrating to many systems. E.g. in large organisation where you might have many ERP systems in use you can still receive all your purchase invoices in Basware and connect easily Basware to different ERP systems. Also PO matching automation works well and you can really get touchless AP automation for your PO related invoices. End users love the UI as well as AP clerks Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basware?

Catalog management and purchasing side is not user friendly and automated yet. Also there is no sourcing module. You can get white labeled solution from Basware but it is loosely connected to P2P. Basware is extremely configurable and with no real templates your system is as good as the consultants you get. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Basware solving and how is that benefiting you?

Single system for purchase invoice handling. You can fully automate - I mean really touchless invoices for your PO related and recurring invoices. It is flexible on creating rules to check purchase invoice coding so you get correctly coded invoices to bookkeeping without having to check them anymore by an AP or accountant. But of course to get to this state you need to be committed to develop the system. It does not come out of the box. What do you like best about Basware?

Possibility to easily access historical data and approval flows. This is very important in case of internal/external audits. It is important to be able to extract invoices from the archives Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basware?

Delays in posting of transactions due to various issues such as tax codes, PO matching. The system should be set up better to inform users of issues so that they addressed promptly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Basware Excels in Automation, Lacks Customization"

What do you like best about Basware?

The best parts of Basware are the features that allow the user to automate payment through a "payment plan" function that will pay invoices based on tolerance. Also, the search functions easily allow you to search history. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basware?

Customization is lacking in the software; although many search functions exist, one cannot create customizable parameters for searching. Also, the software lacks a select-all function for everyday users to move several invoices at once from one person to the next. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
