What do you dislike about Timely?

It would be great if I could link it to something like Jira where all my tickets are stored. Creating all the tags in the project on the project page and then going back to the hours page is a bit of a pain. It would be good to add new "tickets" to a project in the hours page. What do you like best about Timely?

Time reporting is generally considered to be a real drag. Timely does its best to help by automating Time reporting and recording activities. Memory shows us what we've been working on and for how long - applications, files, emails, URLs and locations. Memory entries can be converted into Time report entries. We use Tagging to categorise time entries which makes analysis much more powerful. Technical support is quick, friendly and useful. We've looked at numerous different platforms; Timely is a standout leader in this area. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Timely?

There are very few downsides to using Timely. Memory can get confused when generating automatic time entries but the benefits of having a full detailed record of what you've done massively outweighs that. It's a platform that gets constant updates and sometimes those changes can break some of our ETL routines but that's usually quickly fixed. I love Timely because it automatically tracks what I do on my computer, which helps me remember my tasks better and ensures I bill my customers accurately. I appreciate how it tracks my activity down to the minute in every app, and all I need to do is click to add those times to the billable project, making invoicing every two weeks a breeze. What do you like best about Timely?

I have been using time trackers for years, and Timely is by far the best one I have encountered. It not only provides options to record your work data automatically but also allows you to generate detailed reports to present to your employer.

What I appreciate most about Timely is its ability to help you quickly and easily organize your projects and hours. It allows for necessary adjustments while ensuring the privacy of your work.

With the Memory app, you can easily view all progress made on a task, simplifying its integration into your workflow for everyday use.

I’ve been using Timely for a while now and it’s honestly a lifesaver. Thanks to the AI, my timesheets are filled out in about a minute. No more digging through emails or calendars. What makes it even better is the Memory app: it quietly tracks what I do across my devices so I don’t have to manually keep notes. Seeing my day automatically laid out is both accurate and surprisingly stress-free.

What do you dislike about Timely?

One small quirk: The AI Timely logs activities in blocks of 15 minutes. Most of the time that’s fine, but when I have a quick 5-minute call, it either rounds it up to 15 minutes or ignores it completely. Not the end of the world—it kind of balances out, since sometimes I bill a quarter hour and other times nothing at all—but it does mean ultra-short tasks aren’t always perfectly reflected. I’ve tried every time tracker under the sun, but Timely is the first one that actually fits how my brain works. As a forgetful, easily-distracted ADHD girly, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve sat down to work, fallen into a hyperfocus hole, and then had no idea where the last three hours went.

Timely automatically tracks what I’m doing in the background, no timers to start or stop, no guilt, no judgment. Just a clean, visual timeline of my day that helps me see how my time was spent. It’s been a total game-changer for managing my freelance projects, invoicing clients accurately, and understanding my actual work rhythms (versus the chaos that used to live in my head).
