“Benefits of the GINA SmartCAD System for Efficient Management of the Dispatch Center”
What do you like best about Smart CAD?

The GINA SmartCAD system has long made a significant contribution to improving the efficiency of operations at the dispatch center. It enables continuous real-time monitoring of vehicle movements and, in the event of clarification or changes to the incident location, ensures that this information is immediately reflected in the application used by response units, including an updated incident location within the map background. Any such changes are simultaneously and without delay communicated to other components of the Integrated Rescue System.

In order to simplify communication and reduce radio traffic, the system allows the use of status codes (e.g., “departure”). These functions represent a significant benefit, particularly in the management of large-scale emergency incidents, as they facilitate operational decision-making and provide a rapid and clear overview of unit availability and options for their further deployment. At the same time, a clear visual overview of the deployment of responding vehicles and equipment is ensured.

The ability to transmit photographs and video recordings from the incident scene to the dispatch center provides operators with an accurate and up-to-date understanding of the situation on site and significantly facilitates communication with representatives of local authorities or affected organizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smart CAD?

Previous versions of the software allowed switching between display modes (vehicle / station / entire area), which were used in practice; however, these options are no longer available in the current version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Smart CAD solving and how is that benefiting you?

“Promising Response Module, Needs Better Scheduling”
What do you like best about First Due?

I find the response module in First Due particularly promising and I'm intrigued by the digital command board. I appreciate its capability for better tracking of crews on the fireground, which seems to offer a strategic enhancement to operational efficiency. Moreover, the ability to create command board templates tailored for different types of incidents reflects a level of customization that suggests potential for versatile application across various scenarios. I also value the broader networking advantage presented by First Due, which allows for sharing pre-plans with other agencies in our area. This feature not only fosters community-wide preparedness but also signifies a collaborative approach to emergency response planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about First Due?

I think there's room to improve the scheduling. I came from CrewForce and I felt that was a more user friendly system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“All-in-One Solution That Streamlines Documentation Seamlessly”
What do you like best about ImageTrend?

You don’t feel like you’re hopping between five different systems just to finish a chart. The run form, CAD import, signatures, QA workflow, reporting, it all ties together in a way that makes day-to-day documentation feel less chaotic. When it’s configured well, it supports the provider instead of getting in their way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ImageTrend?

Even though ImageTrend Elite is a capable and comprehensive system, the interface can take some getting used to. The layout is sometimes a bit busy, and certain workflows require navigating through several screens, which can slow users down until they develop familiarity with it. With regular use the process becomes smoother, but new or infrequent users may find the learning curve a little steeper than expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ImageTrend solving and how is that benefiting you?

ImageTrend is solving the really unglamorous but mission-critical problem of bringing all the pieces of EMS documentation and quality data into one place. Instead of juggling separate systems for charting, signatures, CAD data, QA review, and reporting, everything flows through a single platform. That cohesion reduces errors, cuts down on duplicate work, and gives a cleaner picture of each patient encounter.

It also solves the problem of data visibility. I’m able to quickly access trends, performance metrics, and individual chart details without waiting for reports to be built or exported. For quality management, that’s huge. It means faster feedback loops, better compliance tracking, and a more accurate understanding of what’s actually happening in the field.

Another problem it tackles is workflow tracking. Knowing where a chart is in the process helps prevent bottlenecks and lets me prioritize follow-up. It removes the guesswork and back-and-forth emails that used to slow everything down.

Overall, the benefit is a smoother, more transparent documentation and QA environment. It makes daily operations more efficient, supports better clinical oversight, and gives me the tools to focus on improvement instead of hunting for information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Aladtec Streamlines Scheduling with Powerful Automation—Worth the Learning Curve”
What do you like best about Aladtec by TCP?

Aladtec has been a major improvement over our former scheduling software, which was actually just a printed calendar using a Microsoft Word document. Each time we made a change, we printed off another set of pages, which obviously created multiple versions of the schedule floating around, and led to people not always knowing when to work. One of my favorite features is the automated process for creating the next month's schedule. The program allows the user to create shift rotations, and once entered (which does take some manual entry time) it knows exactly how to fill the schedule for the next months and even years. That has been the biggest time-saver for me, as I would have to manually enter each person's name onto a new month's page, so basically starting over each time. Aladtec eliminated all of that. The program let's the admin enter benefit time calculations, so things like vacation time, comp time and sick time are all tracked and accounted for. It also keeps track of the hours that are accumulated over time, and what is available for each employee to use. That is another huge time saver, and eliminated trying to track those hours manually. Best of all, in my opinion, is that the employee is required to "sign-off" on their submitted time card, and they stipulate that what they have entered and read is factual and accurate. No more arguing about exactly how many vacation hours or sick time someone used; they just acknowledged it was correct as presented. There are many more time saving features, but those are my main winners. It is overall convenient, easy to use (once mastered) and the customer support has been very responsive to my requests for clarification of a feature or a process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Aladtec by TCP?

The downside, and it isn't really a dislike at all, with Aladtec is to be expected I believe, and that is the somewhat steep learning curve to understand and master all of the nuances in the program. It is full of features and automation of what was once a manual job, so it is understandable that it takes a little time to get used to and become comfortable with the processes. Once that happens though, the "lightbulb goes on" in your head and it makes total sense. So don't be overwhelmed, take the time to understand those things, and let the support folks do what they do best, which is helping us learn how to use a fairly complex piece of software. It takes some time to set up, but that is well worth the effort because the more you put into it, the more you will get out of it. I would also like to see the mobile product improved and bring in more of the features that are available with the desktop version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Aladtec by TCP solving and how is that benefiting you?

Mostly the automated benefit time database maintenance and the ease of creating the next month's schedule. Literally, hours have been saved every month with this software. Having more time available in an already hectic public-safety environment is always a win. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CentralSquare Public Safety & Justice?

I like the ability to add, create and customize many of the commands and dashboard parts. There are multiple ways for the end user to accomplish tasks which support clickers and typers. The support has been very good as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CentralSquare Public Safety & Justice?

I do not like the inability to create a workflow based on a geo fenced area without have to create new map layers. I also do not care for how slow the system runs the majority of the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CentralSquare Public Safety & Justice solving and how is that benefiting you?

They are solving our problems with multiple calls for one incident by allowing different agencies and types of responders to be assigned to one incident. We also have more visibility of records because of the RMS features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“My take on New World Public Safety”
What do you like best about Tyler Enterprise Public Safety?

I like that it has become familiar to me. What I mean by this is that I have been using this product in one form or the other over the past 16 years. That tells me this is a durable product committed to evolving to meet current and future needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tyler Enterprise Public Safety?

It is costly. This is perhaps one of the most expensive RMS products we use, and the cost never seems to go down. However, it seems like it would be even more expensive if we were to "start over" with another, competing "RMS" service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Tyler Enterprise Public Safety:

Beware of modules. Don't assume anything is included. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tyler Enterprise Public Safety solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's a huge jump to their latest product, "Enterprise," in both the terms of time and financial resources. While not necessarily required, it seems to be expected. I have been getting suttle hints from representitives that the current product will not be supported for much longer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“ESo Firehouse ”
What do you like best about ESO Fire RMS?

It allows for keeping track of all items in FH such as inventory, runs, call volume, personnel and many other aspects of daily work at the fire house. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ESO Fire RMS?

It is at times not very user friendly at all. I have to make numerous calls to them to get tech support on items that I would normally be easy on other programs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering ESO Fire RMS:

Be ready to call them on numerous occasions for tech support. I will say that there is many times when I call they have to create a new query or report that they have not had and that takes some time. Covid 19 seems to have been a challenge for them with getting back to people on their requests. I do feel that the staff is very helpful and nice though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ESO Fire RMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Keeping track of inventory, payroll, daily log of items, trainings, and other department related items. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
