"Excellent tool for web development"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual studio code, it has options and characteristics ideal for software development, it has an amazing number of plugins that simplify life, it has its own command console and it has integrations for git repositories by default, something very good is also that its interface is very intuitive and has a customizable autocomplete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Sometimes it doesn't detect the type of programming language I'm using, so I have to select it manually, also in the last updates it's become a bit heavy and requires more ram to use it properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best code editor"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

VS code is best editor as I can see most of my fellow devs are using vscode for coding and building solutions.

It has multiple themed, splitting window, inbuilt terminal make things very easy.

It has plug in's for almost all programming language that help in writing clean code and make debugging easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

2. Recommended way to use API tools that present inside application.

3. Linting now works effectively when working with multiple programming languages, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The eminent code editor"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

VS Code supports working of various languages like JavaScript, Node.JS, C++, XML and many more. It provides extensions for front-end, back-end and even full stack development. It's integration with GitHub is a add on. It works on all the three popular operating systems I.e, macOS, Linux and Windows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The VS code extensions facilitate in the coding processes, but they can contain malicious software. To overcome this drawback, sandboxing can be done just like in the case of browsers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Used it for flutter app , angular and react webapp and nodeJS server development"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Very easy to setup and use, lots of extensions available, Great extensions for git integration. Good remote debugging features for nodeJS development. Best IDE for flutter development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I really hate that there is no safety alert box when closing the terminal when it has something running. When I'm running an angular app from the VS code terminal, sometimes I close that by accident and it would be very helpful if there was a Confirmation dialog. "Visual studio code is really good and easy to use."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

The overall experience is good, and its UI is straightforward to understand. Any newcomer to coding can understand coding easily with the help of this software as it suggests many features already. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The only thing I don't like is there is a limitation of customization in it, it would be great if in the near future they provide customization as per the user's requirement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The easiet and the Best IDE you can use."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual Studio Code is the most efficient and convenient way to write code on multiple languages. it provides AI support for writing code. It can generate code blocks just by interpreting your code and suggesting lines for faster coding. It supports multiple databases too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

There are quite a few IDE as simple and usable as Visual Studio Code but there are minor points that I don't like, such as it sometimes loads the code slow and is sometimes not so efficient with debugging errors. Those are small issues that occurred with me and might be due to system config or some other issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Awesome IDE"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I like VS Code because it has a huge community of extensions that ables me to work with my favorite tech stack. It has powerful features like tasks, and an integrated terminal that ables me to save a lot of time and energy putting me all I need to work as happy as I can.

I like the following features: IntelliSense auto-completion, the Extension Marketplace, the JavaScript/TypeScript Debugger, the Integration with External Tools via Tasks (especially with projects with TypeScript) and the workspace history. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I dislike the integration with the ESLint package/extension is very hard to configure (in fact, I was never satisfied with the outcome).

I also dislike the documentation about the configuration options, I think there are some opportunities for improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One of the most used Code editor in industry"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I have been using it for 2 years now, the modern look of VS Code has defeated almost every other editor, it is very fast looks good, not heavy on the system, highly customizable. And comes with an online library of plugins made by a variety of people. With no cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It doesn't not support a lot of languages by default, and it might take some time to configure it for your stack, by installing plugins. It is not an IDE, so if we have used a feature-rich IDE like, JetBrains or Eclipse, VS code can disappoint there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
