"Good IDE for a beginner Software Developer"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

It is good software not only to write code but also to capture meeting notes.

It is beneficial if Notepad++ or any other editors are unavailable due to organizational policy; Visual Studio code is the best platform wherein it can also be used as editor.

Apart from the above, it also provides adding of extensions like json parser, xml viewer etc.

Also, it is open source which is available for free. Last but not least, it also helps in comparing 2 similar files with slight differences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It does not support the pasting of images or external documents, since some of the times, I use this to capture meeting notes; it would be helpful if i could get an option to save a few screenshots or images. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Visual Studio Code for advanced scripting"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

What I like the most about VS Code is the number of extensions and the possibility of writing my extension for a specific purpose. It makes Visual Studio extremely useful in some cases where standard coding is not enough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I don't like the graphic interface of VS Code. For me, it is too many things I don't use and not too many things I would like to have. I think the side menu could be improved with more practical options and buttons. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Visual Studio Code Review"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

The Advantage of Microsoft Visual Studio is an integrated development environment (IDE) for developing.:-

1. Free of cost as it is open-source software suitable for students.

2. Easy to use for developing and programming.

3. It also supports different programming languages.

4. It also provides plugins that make our development fast.

5. Provides the GIT Integration, which helps us to push, pull and commit code to the repository in the same Terminal.

6. We can easily find the bug details on the Internet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The disadvantage of Microsoft Visual Studio is an integrated development environment (IDE) for developing .:-

1. For beginners, learning everything like features, adding plugins and solving problems regarding IDE will be complex.

"One of the best code editors I have used"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Best parts about VS code are its security, ease to use, intellisense and find and replace and its community. I started coding as a hobby using sublime text, but after using VS code, I need to say I liked it better than the previous one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I dont like its dependency on extensions alot. Some times some extensions have stopped working while using them. While Intellisense is a great help, it can be super frustrating if it stops to work in the middle of you coding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Really flexible for any kind of development"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I've worked mainly as a mobile developer. Still, in the past, I had the chance to work as a web developer and game developer with different technologies: Swift, Unity, React.js, jQuery, Xamarin, Web Forms, you name it. Something I found annoying in my early days as a developer was that Visual Studio Community had too many features for me that I didn't use and was consuming a lot of memory from my device back then. I didn't have this issue when switching to VS Code because it is a text editor, not a fully-charged IDE with many features. Still, my main point here is that, for a long time, this is what I've needed the most: a simple tool that you can choose what kind of plugins you want in it (so you can add or remove plugins that you need/don't need anymore). I currently work with Swift, Kotlin, C++ and TypeScript, and sure, I might be lacking some cool IDE features, but trust me, they're not a must in my daily usage. Here I got everything I need. What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I think I don't have any significant complaints about Visual Studio Code. It's well done, even for simply building some Markdown documents; overall, the user experience and interface are well-polished. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Product review for Microsoft Visual Studio Code"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

One of the things I like best about Microsoft Visual Studio Code is its user-friendly interface. The layout is intuitive and well-organized, making it easy to navigate through different files and sections of code. The editor itself is also highly customizable, allowing users to adjust settings such as font size, theme, and keyboard shortcuts to suit their preferences. Additionally, it has a feature called IntelliSense, which provides intelligent code completion, suggestions, and snippets, making coding more efficient and less error-prone. Another feature that I like is the built-in debugging tools, which allow for easy identification and fixing of errors in the code, without having to switch to another tool. It also has integration with Git, which allows for easy version control and collaboration with other developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Nothing to dislike about Visual Studio Code one of the best editors I've ever used, just that it occasionally shows slow performance when working with large files or projects, but this is common with all code editors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"For me, The Perfect Development tool."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I like that VS Code is a lightweight, open-source editor that's available on Windows, macOS, and Linux. I've used it on different operating systems and it consistently works well. I especially love the integrated terminal and debugging functionality in the "terminal" window! For someone who works with a lot of Python code (and who has also developed software using Java and C++), VS Code is a must-try! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The console looks outdated; I wish it was more like the terminal in Atom or Vim.

The default theme doesn't look great on dark backgrounds, so I have to mess with the colors to get something I like.

While I appreciate the integrated terminal, the commands don't work in all contexts...sometimes it takes me a while to figure out the correct way to do something! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the interface it has. And also, I love all the extensions you can use to upgrade your experience in programming. One thing I like a lot is that you can compare different files Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The only thing I dislike about VS code is that sometimes it had crashed on my pc and I have to reinstall it when it happens Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
